Stop before home for some more DE brewed beer.
Daryl P.

Stopped in for a flight plus a couple more of their delicious brews on a Monday afternoon to wrap up the start of a new work week. An empty brewery on a early Monday, the hope was that the evening football game would pull in a crowd to sip some beers and enjoy some freshly made food from the local food truck L's. Didn't stick around that late to see but enjoy my time chatting with the bartender Zach while he was taking care of me along with a couple other patrons. Decided on a flight of their light 2 brews and 2 of their IPA style beers. For the Weiss, it was light and easy going and found out later that you can do a couple flavor drops to change the taste up. Whether it is mango, strawberry, or a couple other flavors might be an experiment that I'd try next time I'm there. The IPA had deep flavor with the hops coming thru with each sip. The one that did catch me by surprise was the blood orange sour. An risky move on their part you are better drinking it and not smelling it. For an adventurous taster grab one of those or for a fun prank for a friend. All in all the place is lively even without many people. I can see this place continue to bring in a crowd and maybe on a Wednesday swing by again for their music bingo and check out the latest beers on tap. Pumpkin season is around the corner and they got some fall beers that sound fun to try out!

We've been here a handful of times and it's always a fun vibe. They often have food trucks, live music, and bingo different nights of the week that are featured on their instagram and facebook. I always have consistent service when I'm at the bar and I like how they always have new things on tap for the season. Dog friendly and Sunny Approved

Great beer and friendly staff. It's one of Delaware's best breweries. It's in a hole-in-the-wall location but the beer is worth it

We chose this place to celebrate my 40th birthday, hoping for a memorable night--but unfortunately,…read moreit fell well short. After taking us past several empty booths (that looked really cozy), they seated us in an awkward corner in the back at what felt like a make-shift table. Not what we expected with having reservations, but we tried to be positive. We then waited about 10 minutes without anyone coming by to take even a drink order. It wasn't until I made eye contact with who appeared to be a manager that we were finally acknowledged. To his credit, he stepped in and took our order, and the food arrived quickly--but that's where the positives ended. The dishes themselves were underwhelming--lacking creativity and flavor, especially for a venue that presents itself as a speakeasy-style experience. If you're going to lean into that concept, the drinks or the food (ideally both) need to stand out. Here, neither did. For a milestone occasion, the service and overall experience felt inattentive and disappointing. There's potential here, but based on this visit, it missed the mark in a big way.

The booth we originally sat at made us feel too squished & hot, so we changed to a table which made us feel a lot better (regarding the heat) Alyssa was our server and she was great, however the service was a bit slow (not her fault, seemed like the kitchen?) We dined in on a Friday but we arrived early around 4:30. We were the only people in the one dining area with two others at the bar so not sure why the food took so long. However, the timeliness (& the heat) was my only complaint. The beer was great as well as the food! We also had two different managers come to us to make sure we had everything we needed, which was great. Would recommend.

In the end it was good food, other than stale chips, but the service could have been better.. it's a cool place/vibe just kinda average overall given this..

I enjoyed the bacon and cheese potato kegs. My wife and I split the BLT and grilled cheese. Hers came with a side salad mine with shoe string fries. My son has the salad. Salmon was very good, it was vodka cured; bloodline and skin removed (+++)! Grain was pretty busy for mid-afternoon on a Sunday. Modern pub/ sports pub feel. Phillies game on the TVs. Music playing. Service was OK. My one pet peeve is allowing servers to leave dirty dishes and empty glasses on the table. And our server, although attentive, did not clear any dishes or glasses. Thank god I don't have epilepsy, the light over our table kept blinking non-stop. Plenty of off street parking for patrons. Lots of varied seating, both indoor and outdoor. See warning sign in my pics (haha). As far as prices, they are in line with any other places, as far as these other reviews that said it is excessively expensive, not true. Lunches are $15-20. Apps are a little pricey. Nice beer selection in the $8 ish range. Forgot I wanted to get a pan dessert, next time. I paid using InKind and got a nice discount.

Not surprising, as on holiday weekends most students go home so the town isn't crowded like a usual week. Service was friendly, fast and attentive. Everyone's meals were very good, except for mine. I made a bad choice. Skip the hot honey chicken over donuts brunch item. Its nothing more than 3 chicken fingers over what tasted like a couple of dry entemann's donuts. (Missed opportunity..theres a greta bakery across the street..should get fresh glazed donuts from them. The donuts ruined the dish. Other meals were very good. Easter quiche special with hollandaise sauce and fried potatoes was delicious, although the size of quiche slices was kind of small. Burrata avocado toast was great, and so was their cheese omelette. It was perfect dining for us as we didn't want a heavy, upscale meal at 1:30 in the afternoon. Will definitely come back next time we are in town for dinner and drinks.
