Cioppino tasted great but only 2 mussels, 2shrimp and a small piece of fish. No scallops or clams. Perhaps it's because I ordered at 8:30 on a Tuesday and they were out? But it was amazing and I'd order it again. I'd already had a few bites before the pic. Wife's strip steak, med rare, potatoes and asparagus was perfect. Wait staff was great as well. Definitely be back when I can. read more

Welcoming and delicious. We, a party of 3, were looking for pizza on our last night in Homer. We showed up and we felt welcome - huge points for that. Sat down at the bar with our teen (no age restrictions) and were super happy with the server and menu options. The servers seem happy to work there. Ordered the meatballs (tender meaty and delicious), a bbq pizza (yum) and the alfredo pasta with shrimp. The pizza is thin crust and yummy (not Neapolitan style) and the menu is clever and easy to read. Toppings were smart -- delicious but not overly fancy. The pasta was pricey but delicious. Love the pasta options on the menu. I would add veg additions like mushrooms and sun-dried tomato. Shrimp were a good value add -- plentiful and delicious. Wine options were great and the pours were reasonable / well-priced. Desserts looked great -- did not partake. Would definitely return. We tried 12 different restaurants in Homer, this was the best overall. read more

We had the pasta with pesto and chicken, fish and chips, maple cheesecake, and oat cake. Everything was delicious!! The chicken was moist and fork tender, pasta with pesto was rich and creamy, and the fish was fresh and cooked to perfection. Servers were friendly and fun. We arrived early and the place was filled by 5 pm. The atmosphere was welcoming and friendly. read more

Our second time visiting Homer but our first time at the Twisted Goat,... wish we'd found it last year! Excellent service, they cheerfully accommodated our large party late in the afternoon with no reservations. The servers were friendly and attentive, and best of all, THE FOOD WAS EXCELLENT!!!!! We had the Buffalo shrimp and goat cheese balls appetizers, you can't go wrong with either! The pasta dishes we had were very delectable and the pizza selection was amazing. Best pizza I've had in Homer, and being a classic guy, I had the meat lovers and could not have enjoyed it any more. Seriously, the Twisted Goat is a must visit when in Homer, for great service, great atmosphere and most importantly excellent food!! read more

Great pizza. Great service. Loved this local place. So much charm and energy. And a big variety of deliciousness. Don't sleep on the goat cheese balls. Mmm read more

Great meal, friendly staff! I had the mussels, the broth was perfection. Wonderful wine selection and my mom LOVED her dessert. I wish they had a kids pasta or something small for our little guy, but otherwise a fabulous meal. read more

Incredibly Rude, won't seat anyone 40 minutes prior to closing. Place had plenty of seats open and food was being served.

Went here to celebrate my wife's birthday and was completely surprised with what was by far the best steak I've had in Alaska! The service was incredible by who, as it turned out, is the chefs mother. Ambiance is very nice too and I would highly recommend this place for a date night. Reasonably priced for the location in one of Alaskas tourist destinations. I'd give it more than 5 stars but that's all Yelp has to offer. read more

Excellence in service and food Wish they were open more often and hopefully stay open all winter long. Always a warm and Homey feeling here and the wait people know their way around a crowded room and good recommendations Look forward to many a good meals here. read more

Favorite place I've eaten at in Homer!! The only low star reviews are from people who came when it was closed or couldn't figure out the hours -- ignore those. I think this place is fairly new (don't think it was here when we visited Homer 2 years ago). It was so great! Our servers were warm and attentive and the food was spectacular. Fancy-ish ambience but guests were dressed casual for the most part and it felt very comfortable. Pasta was fettuccini and tasted great, and the molten chocolate lava cake was by far the best chocolate lava cake I've ever had. SO GOOD, highly recommend!! read more

Is it too much to ask for a place that specializes in pizza to pay attention and NOT BURN THE CRUST!? It's inedible when it's like this. And forget about reheating. Too expensive to throw away, but then you can't eat the thing. Never coming back here. read more

Eating here is a must if you're staying in Homer!! Came here my first night and had the steamer clams and a steak. The clams were done to perfection, served with a broth I'm still craving and homemade bread to soak it up with! The steak was cooked beautifully and the potatoes and vegetables were so delicious along side. Had to come again and I got a pizza this time - amazing sauce, perfect proportions of toppings to pizza, great crust, absolutely would get again!! The atmosphere is fresh and modern but still with a hometown feel and the staff are all very personable, friendly, and informational. 10 out of 10, visit this place!!! read more

We love this local restaurant. The best food and service! We highly recommend everyone try them out.

Very good pizza! Not a lot of cheese and just the amount of crust! Friendly staff with outdoor seating!!

One of the best restaurants in Homer. Small and quaint place. Only had pizza there but it was excellent. One of the owners was our waitress and she was absolutely delightful. read more

Found this little gem while driving through Homer looking for a pizza place after driving in from Anchorage. It was cloudy and rainy the entire drive. We saw this place and noticed the full parking lot--always a good sign. Upon entry we quickly sat at the bar and ordered a craft beer and glass of wine. The server gave a few sips of various beers so my husband could select the one he liked best. The Twisted Goat doesn't sound like the name of a pizza place and we were pleasantly surprised to see it on the menu. We enjoyed another drink and took the pizza as takeout. Great service; it looked like the servers worked as a team and all had a smile. We ordered the meat pizza and it was delicious! The crust was perfectly cooked and the toppings were just the right amount with a healthy portion of cheese. If I ever get back to Homer, that's where I'm eating! read more

We had just returned from a long day of fishing. We were welcomed with open arms & friendly staff, even though we looked a bit disheveled. The food was on point, very hot, fresh & delicious! Will definitely return! read more

Stopped in to order a pizza to go. Had two glasses of beer at the bar while I waited. All of the food coming out of the kitchen looked fantastic. My wife and I devoured the pizza in our hotel room in no time at all. This will be a new tradition when we roll into Homer. read more

Having spent a week in Homer the Twisted Goat was by far the coolest stop for food on the trip. The vibe in the restaurant was awesome. Wait staff were very attentive, and the food was killer. We got two pies, and the BBQ chicken was our favorite. 10/10 would go back again. read more

Very disappointed ! I guess pizza is their thing ! Ordered the seafood stew ( most expensive thing on their menu.) very small portion, extremely spicy. Would never go back! read more

We had a party of 6, 2 young kids. It was not very busy maybe 3 total tables of customers including us. I handed my 4 year old my phone on low volume and a blonde lady came up and asked me to turn the volume down. Mind you the music was twice as loud and over the talking of others there was no way anyone that was not sitting at the table could hear it. Super rude. The server was great but not a way to talk to paying customers. read more

The food and beer were fantastic. The atmosphere is warm, friendly, and chic. An efficiency expert could improve the work for wait staff.

Great little place!! Very busy on a Saturday night but once we got a table after a few minutes wait, everything was excellent. Our group tried the stuffed peppers, beet salad, steamed clams, steak, chicken Alfredo pasta, and veggie burger. Everyone liked their dishes, and the chocolate pots de crepe for dessert got rave reviews. Our server was pleasant and super efficient. Will definitely be back. Recommend this place for sure. Cute little house that used to house Cafe Cups. read more

Ordered pasta and fish and chips. Pasta was a little heavy on the garlic, but I like garlic so it wasn't a deal breaker. My wife said the fish batter was light and super good. Very nice staff here. read more

After a long drive from anchorage nobody felt like cooking so we did a quick search on google and came across this gem of a restaurant and we are so glad we did! We were offered a seat at the bar right away or a short 5 minute wait for a table . Everything we ordered from drinks to dessert was great but the best dish was the goat cheese appetizer. Ambiance was nice service was good we will be returning again in the future! read more

Great fish and chips! Also loved the goat cheese and pickled onion all- super addition to Homer restaurants!

I was so sad when I heard the Mermaid had shut down and there was a new restaurant in its place. Also more annoyed that the menu appeared to be mostly pizza-I'm so tired of pizza. BUT this is the best food i've had in alaska in a while. The workers are very friendly. It is more than just pizza! Everything I saw coming out of the kitchen looked so good. I had two drinks, an app, a desert and a steak dinner for around 50$. II typically don't order steaks when I go out because 90% of the time they're over cooked. I ordered mine medium. You be the judge. read more

Lots of great menu options. Their pizza options ar great and the crust is always perfect.

The service was rude & the food wasn't great either. Over priced to have several meals burnt.

The food here was amazing, compliments to the chef! My wife and I shared the stuffed red pepper appetizer, I had the shrimp pasta, and my wife had one of their delicious pizzas. 5 star food rating! Unfortunately, the service was frustrating. While my wife and I were waiting for our table, one of the workers walked up to us and said, "I'm not sure if you've spoken with the host yet but I don't want people to feel like they are being stared at. I'm not sure if it's still raining outside." So we asked if she would prefer we wait outside, but she just walked away after her suggesting we were staring at people eating. The host was working hard but wasn't really up front much to greet guests and tell them where they could wait, so it was confusing, frustrating, and honestly embarrassing after the server's comment to us. Every guest who arrived after us went through the same confusion as to where they should wait or check in with the host. This restaurant is quaint and has delicious food, but the service was a bummer. read more
