This Escape room was honestly so fun, We went for my friends 21st Birthday and it was her first escape room. She absolutely loved it and was very surprised we escaped with 15 minutes left! She immediately wanted to book the other room once we were out. The worker (i'm sorry i didn't get her name) was super nice! we were a bit late but she was so kind and still allowed us to play! 10/10 recommend for an affordable and fun escape room!

The Captive escape room (JigSaw themed)!

Every aspect of this room is amazing and enjoyable! My group did the Captive room here, and we loved it. We are all teens; two of us have done several escape rooms before this, while this was our third member's second room. You don't need to be escape room savvy to enjoy or escape this. Teamwork and observation are vital. The room was intricate and very well set up according to its theme, the Jigsaw movie series. We were clue-heavy and used 6+. We escaped in 61 minutes -- 1 minute over our given time! Our host was amazing! She thoroughly guided and assisted us without giving too much of our next step away. She was interactive and social and got us hyped up before we began. She allowed many photos and put up with our many props and poses. There was a technical difficulty that was smoothly fixed and handled and we continued as if it never happened. I definitely recommend The Apartment room at their second location, Greatest Escape, although it is on the much much scarier side. 5 stars all the way!

Our First time
Fred T.

First time in an escape room and it was all worth it. I was kind of skeptical as to whether it would be as fun as everyone says it is, but we got more then expected. At first I thought we wouldn't be able to complete and escape, which we didn't but we made it to the last clue which is better then expected. Especially for the first time. Second, I didn't think the kids would work well with one another but I was wrong. Then I thought that being crammed in a room with three kids that fight all day at home would be too long for me to handle but I was wrong again. The time went so fast and left us wanting more. The staff was great, the room (Black Rose ) was great, the kids were excited and worked well with each other, and our overall experience was great . We are sold and are looking forward to our next room, which I think it's going to be Jailbreak. Thank you staff and all involved in bringing such a great family activity to Lancaster

It's not scary, it's just creepy. The music and the blood painted on the walls give it the creepy effect. But there's nothing that jumps out or anything like that. It's not brightly lit but that's just for effect. But there's enough light to read… Read more

We did the basement. This is the first time we've ever done an escape room so I had no idea what to escape. I don't wanna spoil too much BUT this was absolutely one of the best times I've ever had. The actors were so helpful and so funny. We didn't successfully pass, but we were very close!!!!!!. We had a group of two. When that room holds up to 10. Soooooo we did our best hahhaahaha . It's very interactive at some points, We had to crawl through spaces, walk through trap doors and we did get our hands dirty. We were Using flashlights to get around. It was SUPER interactive. I had a blast!!!! Will definitely come here again!!!!! Do wear comfy clothes. We were sweating!!!! Closed shoes recommended. And always pay attention to small details. Everything is a clueeee!!!!! At that point, I was ready to accept my fate as the least reliable member of my college friend group and just go home in shame. But instead of turning me away, the staff at The Basement heard my my panicked voice on call and said, "It's okay, we got you." Like, who does that?? Absolute saints in flannel and dim lighting. They got me and my group a different time slot with zero judgment and still managed to make the whole experience immersive, creepy, and weirdly fun. The live actor deserves an Oscar. I don't want to spoil anything, but I screamed, fell to the ground of fear--or clumsiness (don't judge me), and maybe trauma-bonded with my friends. Thank you to my college crew for not disowning me, and thank you to The Basement for turning my logistical disaster into one of the best bonding event ever. TL;DR: Came for fear, stayed for emotional redemption. 10/10 would get lost and late again. Well.. not late. Sorry about that

The interior design is creative and immaculate, the muppets are beautifully crafted, and special credit goes to Adam, whose live performance carried the scripted moments with real charm and skill. The music, the interactive tools, and even the in-room computers ran smoothly without a single glitch. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a fresh setting and a fun challenge. As a bonus, it's very kid-friendly, so feel free to bring the family along.

Appleseed Avenue may seem like a friendly place, but I wouldn't suggest being alone in an alley at night.

Every time we're here, the staff and gamemasters are so kind and caring. We spent a lot of time after our escape game talking with a staff member, and we could tell they were really passionate about escape rooms. Shoutout to Brooke for being an awesome gamemaster and giving us hints when we were struggling, without us having to ask. We went for my friend's birthday, and she definitely made the day special! This was super addicting and gave us an adrenaline rush at the end that we ended up booking another room! We love going to the Escape Game because they also let you record inside the game! This means that you can bring your whole group in, and there's a chance you might have some strangers joining you as well if there's still space.
