I first want to address Alyssa F's review... I find your review quite hysterical.....I have been to this salon twice once for myself and once recently for my daughter. I have seen how courteous everyone is from the moment I walked in the door. They offered to have our coats hung up, offered us drinks etc. You honestly won't find that anywhere it's usually everyone for themselves. The environment is very welcoming! As far as the smell of cigarettes I have never encountered that. However, as a business they cannot be responsible if their clients smoke. Yes I am a smoker that is my personal choice and yes bad habit. I am aloud as an American to make those choices and cannot be denied for any services based on that. They cannot or do not have the right to deny services to those who smoke. To basically say all that you have is just childish. If you want everything to be perfect and all about you hire someone to come to your home. As a client and individual I would say you made the best choice possible in leaving because I honestly wouldn't want to be in your presence with all your negative energy and obviously there would be no way possible for anyone to meet your needs.... so on that note good luck! Back to my review I absolutely love this place!! I have the privilege of having Bethany Amos as my stylist. She is very knowledgeable and makes sure you get what you want. Where do I start ?? I'm someone who loves being really blonde but also changes my mind a lot and likes to go from bleach blonde to silver blonde to ombré and back to platinum blonde.. and wear extensions..however after several years of this I began to have a lot of damage,breakage and my hair was super thin ..I was really afraid my hair would never go back to the way it used to be. Alisha took the time to have a personal consult with me.. answered all my questions, gave me me advice and a hair care plan specifically for me.. she was extremely informative and patient with me, answered all of my questions (as I was quite apprehensive about going to a new salon and causing any more damage) Twisted Elegance uses top products like Oribe and Olaplex which if you have ever used this product you know how amazing it is! The salon is beautiful overlooking a lake..the one not so good thing about the salon is I had a hard time finding it on my first visit, if you miss the exit you have to go all the way around as it's a one-way. My hair is not easy, as it is thinning, fine and has been processed many times. As a new client I certainly posed somewhat of a challenge but was not treated that way. Alisha is a delight to work with. After an initial consultation I had extensions put in. I felt like a little girl the first time she puts on a princess costume- nothing short of amazing. Today Alisha colored my hair for the first time and it came out beautiful. She asked me to compare my hair color to what I'd ideally want, which was a brilliant question b/c sometimes clients and colorists have different definitions of words such as "brassy". There were no empty promises as it will take 2-3 colors to bring my entire head to look naturally sun kissed blonde. Her technique was awesome, and made me realize that in the past I've paid prime $ for a rushed color and sub-par outcome. Alisha not only does a beautiful job, but she is truly a beautiful person, inside and out. If you hear otherwise, you should assume the person has an ulterior motive. I am an extremely picky, "type A" person who never has bothered to write a review before. This speaks volumes about the service at Twisted Elegance. I went to Twisted Elegance for a style cut by Alisha and blow dry by Jaclyn. They were amazing. When Alisha asked me what I was looking for I told her I was trying to grow my hair long but I had the problem of it tangling easily. I had existing layers that had long since grown out since February (I know, I wait way too long in between hair cuts). So I asked what Alisha suggested to make it stylish and manageable and she said a 1/2 - 1 inch trim, clean up the back layers, and add a few layers to frame my face to complement its shape. So I went for it. I was really surprised at out how quick the haircut was. But in this case less was definitely more. Other stylist may keep at it snipping away at endless strands and overworking layers but Alisha knew what she was doing and got it right on the first shot. Then Jaclyn stepped in and asked me how I liked my hair blow dried (straight or flippy) and where I wanted my bangs parted. At other salons they don't even bother to ask; I really appreciated how Jaclyn asked and how she made me feel really at ease as she worked her magic. I have lived in this area my entire life and I am more than happy that Twisted Elegance opened up near me. The owner Alisha is an absolute sweet heart and she is very knowledgeable. For starters, the ambiance of the shop is lovely! the decor is very classy and creates a luxurious spa atmosphere. I went to Twisted Elegance off of a recommendation and I am so happy that I did. I went to Alisha for a repair because of an awful hair cut/color that I received elsewhere. I had never had my hair colored before and after receiving an absolutely awful hair cut and "ombre" (random highlights that just gave me random roots, no ombre AT ALL) I went to Alisha for help. Alisha completely fixed my hair and now I constantly get complimented on it. I went into Twisted Elegance feeling upset about my hair and Alisha made my hair gorgeous, I walked out feeling confident again! I cannot say enough about Alisha at Twisted Elegance! First of all the hair salon at the mansion is gorgeous and luxurious, and all of the hair stylist's that work there do their best to make you feel welcome and comfortable. The first time I came to this salon a few months ago my ombré was grown out and was looking very dull. I was nervous about trying a new stylist because no one could ever do exactly what I wanted and I've had other Salons leave me disappointed. When I left Twisted that day I had beautiful caramel balayage highlights that made my hair look amazing and demential! I was beyond satisfied and I knew I had to come back. My last visit with Alisha I wanted something a little different for fall so she suggested the color melt to add a little darkness and absolutely fell in love with the way my hair looked! Next time I go in I am planning on getting the Brazilian blow out and I cannot wait! I heard about Twisted Elegance through word of mouth and have seen their FB page. I NEEDED a new stylist so figured why not. After being there once I was hooked. I loved my highlights and extentions all done by Alisha. Come the fall I wanted a changed. Its was the 1st time I ever did something different with my hair color and I trusted 100% Alisha would do a great job. And she did. Iv gotten so many compliments as a brunette. Hair is not the only thing I love about this salon. It offers skin servies/products as well. There have great face products I am obsessed with and now I have the option to by them. My favorite products... Environ Not only is the service great, I love how its on the quite side and there are maybe a handle of people there at a time. I followed Rebecca from Salem to Twisted Elegance in Peabody. She is an amazing and talented hair stylist. She has been coloring and cutting my hair for approximately 6 years and I do not trust anyone else to touch my hair. I even fly home from San Diego to get my hair done by her. She always makes sure I get exactly what I want by talking me through what I want done, showing me pictures, discussing her vision, and always explaining the exact process she will use make my hair the best it can be. She has colored and highlighted my hair both dark and light and every time my hair looks so natural. She will suggest products for your hair, but never pushes you to buy them. Rebecca has also cut my 19 month old daughter's bangs twice which is always a challenge, but some how they always look perfect! I've lived in the area for a little over a year now, and I had been unable to find a new salon that I really liked. A couple of weeks ago I did some research on Yelp and came across Twisted Elegance. I was able to get in quickly to see Alisha, and I couldn't be happier that I did. I came in for highlights and a cut, and she suggested the balayage technique for the color. The color is beautiful and so is the cut. I asked for an edgier cut. When I've asked for this at other salons, I usually end up with some more traditional looking haircut. Alisha listened to me and the haircut is exactly what I wanted, even though I didn't give her exact details and she had to take some creative license. Also, my hair is naturally fine and thin, so it is difficult for me to find a cut and style that helps my hair look fuller. This cut is perfect for my hair. I decided to try this salon after reading great reviews on Yelp. Making an appointment was super easy, and I got put in on the day I requested. I love the atmosphere when you first walk into Twisted Elegance: It is glam and very clean. Alisha was there along with another stylist. I was warmly greeted when I walked in and was asked if I would like anything to drink. I had no wait time and immediately had my hair washed by one of the girls who worked in there. After that Alisha came right over and started doing my hair. I told her what was going on with my hair and she did a wonderful trim and blow dry. You can tell Alisha is very experienced at what she does, and she is the only stylist that I trust doing my hair. With past stylists I always felt rushed and never left with a cut that I really liked. Alisha was the total opposite of this: She was understanding, didn't rush, and did a great cut. Well at first I was coming on here to leave a review about my awesome new hair do for Christmas, but now after seeing the previous 1 star here I want to leave a comment more than a review. I was in the salon the same time as this unhappy guest was. I listened to Alisha ask her if the 3 inches she was holding her hair at to cut off was what she really wanted and her response was whatever it needs. Her hair came out beautiful. The only thing Alisha did wrong was not take a picture. I actually asked Alisha after she left if her color would look good on me. As far as the staining I know that dark colors stain bad, I get one myself. There is only so much that can be rubbed off, it is only temporary hairline staining. Judging from the way she came in to the way she left I would say her money was well spent, but not everyone is able to be made happy. And from the amount of 1 star reviews this person gives it looks as though NOTHING makes her happy. read more

I am also running for Miss NH USA in a couple of weeks and needed to find a reputable salon who I could trust. I came to Alisha at Twisted Elegance for color correction and extensions and I could not be happier with my results! I had black hair for years and other stylist's attempts to lighten my hair left it dry and damaged. I was ready to just cut it all off, but Alisha assured me I could keep my length. She used a balayage technique that made a huge difference after just one visit! She also suggested we use Olaplex to protect my hair and I could not believe how much better my hair felt. Once my color was where I wanted it to be I made an appointment for hair extensions with Alisha. The hair is so soft and the color matched my hair perfectly. Alisha is truly an artist and I highly recommend her!!! A bonus is the salon is absolutely gorgeous and by the lake. After learning that my all time favorite stylist "Rebecca Nicholson" had moved on from her former salon in Salem Ma, I was thrilled to have found her at Twisted Elegance in Peabody Ma. Rebecca is the real deal, truly an artist and the best hair stylist I have ever been to ( I have been going to her for approximately 8 years now). My foils and cuts are always done to perfection! I would trust her to do any type of hair cut/color/style. She "listens", offers honest advice and is just all around wonderful. She's a pro! You will not be disappointed if you go to see her!!! I went in not sure exactly what I wanted to do with my hair. Everyone was really nice to me the whole time I was there. The salon itself looks amazing and almost intimidating to someone like me, but the staff is so friendly and inviting I got over that quickly and felt extremely relaxed. Even the other clients were friendly. I worked with Alisha to figure out what would look best and she explained to me why a certain look would work better with the color I already had in my hair. We decided to go for a darker brown color that showed red in the light/sun. My hair is EXACTLY what she said it would be and looks amazing. I have received nothing but compliments returning to work and I work with an office full of men, so for them to even notice the change is certainly saying something. I've been seeing Hair stylist Alisha at Twisted Elegance at the Mansion for a number of years now for hair extensions. I've used two different brands but ended up loving Great Lengths due to their luxurious look and feel. Alisha is a true artist in her craft. I am meticulous about my hair and she is just as much of a perfectionist as I am. Every time I'm at the hair salon I feel spoiled and pampered. The salon has a Facebook page and the pictures of their work (Alisha, Shelly and Bethany) that include color melts, ombré, Brazilian blowouts and more have left me speechless. I am scheduling a balayage soon and absolutely can not wait. This is the truly the best salon I have ever gone to. The place is decorated so beautifully and thoughtfully. It's small and peaceful -- they only do a couple of clients at a time so it's very relaxing and you get great personal attention... feels like a spa experience every time! Twisted Elegance is the best! A friend recommended Alisha almost 3 years ago and I think by the time I got to her I'd been to every salon in Boston from Newbury to the North Shore for highlights! Since then, she's done it all for me--highlights, haircuts, hair and make up for fitness competition, etc. The salon itself is gorgeous--chic and modern yet inviting, but she is what makes it so amazing. My hair was bland and one dimensional and she made it the most beautiful blonde! She is so gifted in every aspect of her job, seriously an artist, and she is also sweet as can be. My experience with the owner Alisha was great she was fast and honest , I wanted to go very blonde but considering I didn't do my hair for months I had allot of roots and one time was just not going to do it , we decided doing a partial was the best fit for my hair , going back fully blonde is a process I have been threw that before , she pulled my hair ( just kidding ). She offered me a great cup of tea , I loved my hair cut , no one has won that category yet , she was fast , the place was quiet as it was a 3:45 pm appointment. The price was a bit price , but you pay for ? U get I didn't look at my hair until it was finished and styled I said Waw.
