Found this Salon on Groupon and did some research on a hair dresser who works here. I booked the groupon and Called in to make an appointment. I picked Dominque because of her pictures she had public on her Facebook and she has an Instagram. -hairbydominiqueee She was a little booked out but I made the appointment and went in today and I am so happy with my results! I got a highlight (full), Low light (full), a toner, and blow dry. My hair was a yellow color with no dimensions and damaged. She listened to all my concerns, checked my hair and was upfront and honest on what needed to be done. She was great with her timing too! No one wants to be at a salon all day!! I am amazed with my results and I'm so happy. My hair looks so much more healthier! I'm going back Friday to get a cut and blow dry! I highly recommend her! The salon itself is very clean and organized! They have some spa services I'm going to look into next. When I walked in Christian at the front desk was very welcoming and all the staff were very professional and friendly! There's good parking and it's right off Route One! I came here on a groupon after reading the reviews excited to get my hair cut, dyed, and highlighted. I even came with a photo of what I wanted of which the cut I had had before. They were ok with that I couldn't come till 6pm! So I guess I was too trusting and should have stayed on the stylist... First she was done cutting and I noticed that my hair no longer had an angle... I had showed a photo of a long angled bob with the front pieces being right over the shoulders. So I had her recut at which the first thing she did was chop 2 more inches of the front.... As the dye and highlights started dying I noticed that my whole head was blonde. ( not so good with my completion ... And we are moving into fall. Can't even pretend I was just at the beach too much) I had asked for and showed in the photo - light blonde chunky highlights.) Then she asks me if I like it... I was having a hard time telling her no this is nothing like the photo I brought in. I showed her how little blonde was in the photo, how long and angled the bob was. The owner of the salon came over and said yes there is say too much blonde and proceeded to recut my hair...which I was excited about because of the jaggedness I could now see. However, this meant my hay went even shorter all the way around. Yes the cut looks better but I am now 6"s shorter on the front of my hair than I wanted and my hair looks like a straight no angled bob all the way around... Did I mention that I have curly hair and thick hair? Ugh So the original stylist brings back more dye to cover the massive amount if blonde. It was supposed to match the red that we initially dyed the other part of my hair. However she just grabbed the same red that she had before... When out onto the blonde it of course became coca cola red. Not to mention the new dyed pieces are splotty and uneven around my head. Somehow after all this my stylist loves the color....and takes a photo. I get the idea that she's new at this and perhaps I shouldn't be so hard on her and yes they tried to fix it. But I work at a fashion place that will not be that acceptable of this and frankly it wasn't that hard of a cut or dye. And I may have partially paid via groupon but even with it I payed 150. Never was I offered and money back although I was told that I could come back again to fix it and get a pedicure. Sigh after 4 hours and it still looking horrible I don't even want to tough the place with a 100 ft pole. So now I'm having to figure out was I can do about this. Dye it myself... This morning or find a hat to cover it till sat morning when I can go to a friends stylist to get it fixed... Nope I can't even out it up... Way too short for that. (I asked to be able to do that!) basically for several months I'm screwed. Disclaimer: everyone else leaving there had great haircuts. I sincerely hope that mine is out of the ordinary. read more

I came in for a body perm to give my straight silky hair some body and fullness. I did bring in a photo of what I wanted. I left with small tight curls that resembled Shirly Temple. The perm rods used were too small. I was offered a reverse perm which would have ruined my hair. There was nothing left to do but have it all cut off. I was charged $120.00 as well. I am not happy. I really deserve a refund. read more

I went in today to get a cut, full highlight and blow dry. They were able to take me in the next day which worked perfectly for my schedule. I worked with Liz and she was absolutely fantastic. My hair came out great! She is a master when it comes to foils! I can't say enough about it. She explained everything she was doing and had some unique techniques I've never had someone do before. I highly recommend this salon. Everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere is very relaxing and comfortable. A+++ read more

I was at Bella Salon the other day for my second reiki visit with Denise and when I jumped on Yelp to check in, I noticed that my original review was still in my drafts! I had just been telling the salon's owner that I have given them a great Yelp rating. Sorry Christian! So, here's my original review from the prior week, with a couple updates. I went to Bella Salon with a groupon for reiki with Denise DeSimone. I'd been wanting to try reiki and this seemed like a good opportunity to do so. I also googled Denise and was truly humbled by her story (overcoming Stage IV cancer). I'm a little embarrassed to say that I did know know about Bella Salon. Apparently they've been in Danvers quite a long time, tucked away on route 1 in the little plaza next to Calitris, near Center Street. I guess that's why Groupon is so so great! When I entered the salon, I was promptly greeted by a super friendly woman who checked me in and got Denise. Denise is this little bundle of positive energy; just a truly beautiful person inside and out. I got more rest and relaxation in that hour with her, than in a week of "real life" at home. She uses a combination of modalities including a type of sound therapy, plus some acupressure and cranial sacral therapy with her reiki. Obviously, she lovingly customizes each session to the individual. I went back to see Denise a week later for an equally wonderful session. At that visit, I was greeted by the salon owner; he was very friendly and welcoming and walked me to their "living room" to relax while I waited for Denise. Sitting there for a few minutes gave me a chance to observe the salon. There seemed to be a very positive vibe humming through the space. All of the stylists seemed very friendly and upbeat and all of the clients that I saw leaving, looked very nice! (Just a little FYI) I will be back at Bella again next week for my third session with Denise and will check in again then. :-) read more

If you've got curly hair, this is the place to go. Erin is my girl. My hair is not just curly, it is frizz. Erin is wonderful. For years and years I fought my curls, and would blow dry my hair straight. Only I didn't dry it, I had it done once a week (not at Bella). Then I retired and just decided I didn't want to be a slave to getting my hair done once a week, and I needed to stop fighting my natural curl. I moved to the North Shore area, and a friend told me about a salon on Route 1, and an Erin. I couldn't be happier. I went from long and straight, to short and curly. Erin was on a medical leave and Christan (salon owner) got me scheduled with Kayla, so I could go to a family party. Erin is my new best friend, and Christan is always smiling and helpful. First off, I had a groupon and I was a little nervous, never knowing what you will get. Someone promptly greeted me, showed me around (and didn't act put out that I was using a groupon..like some restaurants might) Anyway, the lady that washed and deep conditioned my hair was really nice and friendly. My appointed was with Liz. She was awesome. She took her time and listened and I ended up with what I wanted (a long asymmetrical bob; not stacked) she was great. I would highly recommend her!! Just two tiny suggestions: 1. Maybe serve wine :) 2. Have someone sweep from the previous client before you have the new client sit down. Other than that, thanks for everything read more

I love this Salon. It is in a convenient spot but can be tricky to find! I would recommend Erin who does a great job with all styles of hair. I have curly hair and she is an expert at curls. She knows what I want and always succeeds in fulfilling my expectations. They have free coffee while you wait which is a plus. The prices are fair too!! read more

When she moved, there was never any question that I would follow her. The drive from Boston is totally worth it because you know you're in good hands. I went to Bella on Friday October 20, 2017 for the first time to get a DevaCut and style with Brittany. I had done my own research before deciding to go there because I wanted to be sure about my decision. I have a lot of hair and it's thick. From the moment I walked in, I accidently came face to face with Brittany and one of the owners, Christian. They greeted me and I went to check in with the woman at the desk. When Brittany took me to her chair, the first thing she did was talk to me about my hair, what I was hoping to achieve shape wise and length wise, and proceeded ro explain to me what a DevaCut was and what she was going to do to my hair from start to finish. So, she started to cut it and took maybe about 15-20min to cut and talked to me the whole time. She asked me all the questions you expect like what I use in my hair, how I refresh my curls, etc... She did not take off a lot in length at first because she wanted to cleanse and style my hair and see where it would shrink up to after the initial cut. After sitting in the dryer for maybe 15min, she took me back to the chair and finished with the diffuser. After she was done, I had told her that she could cut more length off because I did not mind my hair being a bit shorter. Overall the salon it self was a cozy feel, which I like. I liked the cut and style. I really liked how she talked to me the whole time, explained each product and how I should take care of my hair. The people who work there were all very nice and I appreciated Christian asking me how everything was going, if I was happy, and if Brittany was doing a good job (which she did). read more

I forgot to write my review back in march, but I am going back for an appointment in a few weeks so I figured I'll do it now! I went to Bella salon because I got a groupon, I got one for a wash, cut and full highlights. I saw Liz, who was just great. Since I was seeing a new stylist, I brought a picture of the color I wanted. It was my first time going blonde, so she was very understanding that I didn't want to go too drastic just yet. She gave my full highlights a beautiful gold tone to match my golden brown hair, and I still get compliments everyday on how nice my color is. I am going back in June to go even lighter! She gave me a great simple cut too, everything I asked for. She listened to me and gave me her thoughts too. All of the staff was VERY friendly, they took my jacket, offered me tea and coffee, talked to me and just made me feel very welcome. Thanks Bella Salon, see you soon! read more
