What's not to love about a sine bar without the pretentious cover charge and staff. For some reason the guy at the door has a prohibited shoe chart. Lololololo.

Carlton is the finest Happy Hour host ANYWHERE!!! He's so fun and kind. Twist is must on our to-do list when we're visiting Miami Beach. Thank you Carlton. You're the best!

Over $27 for toe bottles of Stella.

This place used to be more affordable I'm sure but on Wednesday night it was over $27 for two bottles of Stella including the tip that they pre set. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was a very busy night as Lady Gaga has just cancelled the show most of us in the bar should have been at.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The venue is okay but so overpriced compared to Wilton Manors where there is a lot of completion and these prices would mean no customers.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Good for Twist that they get away with it but bad for their customers.

There a lot of mixed reviews about this place. It's been a couple of years since my last visit. Stopped off to meet a friend for drinks around 10:30/11:00pm. There wasn't a line yet which was nice and they do have security that scan check you when you walk in. Just from looking at it from the outside, it doesn't look much but once you're inside it's a while different vibe. There's bar right when you walk in which seemed to be more mellow. Plus it's pretty early for them as they stay open till the wee morning hours. It's like a maze walking through the place. There's different room with a bar. Some are big enough for dancing, there's a smoking area I believe. Also, it's two story so wandering through was fun discovering a new room with a bar. If u remember correctly each room was playing different music. So you have a while different club each time. Vibe was fun. Like mentioned we were there pretty early to their standards. Majority of the crowd tends to end up here around 1 am.

I arrived here to start of my birthday trip. After preforming at LIV Miami this was a nice break. My party was usherd upstairs tonight where the bar just opened. The bartenders were very attentive and polite. George introduced himself and said he was taking care of me. Prices were stated before pouring. We had a wonderful night and I look forward to returning to this venue when I come back to Miami.

I had a fun night out with my friends here. There were many rooms with different music and bars. The karaoke room was probably my favorite. The only thing I didn't like was the straight man who thought he could grope me, a straight woman, at a GAY club. I went there to dance with my gay friends, not get groped by creepy straight guys. Lesson learned. Nobody's safe - not even in Miami gay clubs.

It's a fun gay dance club / bar that's been going strong in South Beach for 25 years (they just celebrated the anniversary). It's filled with guys like me and my partner that have a little mileage but might look decent in a speedo, and some gorgeous guys who look ridiculously hot in a speedo. It's not particularly wild as dance clubs or gay bars go, surprisingly given the location. Club E11even is a good bit wilder (but straighter) and Palace Bar is a good bit more flaming. This actually has a neighborhood-y feel at times; the last thing you expect in Sobe. Outside it looks like just a storefront, except for the throng of Uber pick-ups and drop-offs. Inside it's all dramatic lighting and tropical colors in a sort of labyrinthine layout. Valuable tip: Flirt shamelessly with the doorman / bouncer if it's some sort of special night, and you'll get in faster (both my partner and I dialed up the volume and double-teamed him, hehe). The bartenders here tend to be hectic but friendly. The staff always seems to be in a good mood. Drinks are never watered down. Like almost every other beach establishment, there'll likely be 18% tip already added automatically, so chuck the vanity, get out your spectacles and even the cell phone flashlight if needed. If you're as cheap as me, you're allergic to being tricked into tipping twice. Thumbs up on Twist though, cheap ole' Joe and cheap ole' Doctor C both love the place.

    Adios!

After an issue during our previous visit, she personally reached out to us and encouraged us to give The Palace another chance. We're so glad we did. Her professionalism and genuine care for her guests made all the difference. A special shoutout to David, our server, for providing outstanding service throughout the evening. He was professional, attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. The entire experience was incredible. The energy, talent, and charisma of every single queen made the show unforgettable. Every performance was full of passion, and the atmosphere was simply electric. There's an intense dynamic of action throughout this joint- upstairs and downstairs. There's professional performers on the center bar top. Walk to the back and there's another live performance complete with more dancers and singing with a dance floor at the stage. What's upstairs? There is DJ dancing - popular high energy music. The drinks are definitely expensive, but that is to be expected in South Beach. The only complaint is the bartenders I visited on the bottom floor to the left bar in the back and upstairs in the DJ room looked like they did not want to be there. Perhaps, this place is too wild for a continuous eight hour shift? Who knows. The jovial atmosphere in this place makes you forget quickly though. I think I stayed here until 2am dancing my ass off. Then, when I received my bill, there was an additional $0.25 'health insurance' charge. The amount isn't the issue--it's the principle. Costs like employee health insurance should be built into prices, not added as surprise fees. To make matters worse, when I asked about the charge, the server couldn't explain what it was or why it was being added, so I left with more questions than answers. Between the cover charge, unexpected fees, and lack of transparency, the whole experience felt like a tourist trap. Customers deserve clear pricing and straightforward explanations of any charges before they're added to the bill.

My friends and I were celebrating my sister's birthday, and unfortunately the night wasn't going as planned and everyone including my sister was getting upset... I became overwhelmed, and before I even had to ask for help, two waitresses came over with napkins and asked if I was okay. A few moments later, Kirsten, the manager , came over, sat with me, gave me a hug, and genuinely listened while I explained what was going on. She didn't rush the conversation or make me feel like just another customer...she truly cared. She even invited me on a walk around the restaurant to help me calm down, reassuring me the entire time that everything was going to be okay. She showed me the beautiful Tea Room and encouraged me to bring my friends and sister over to enjoy it. That ended up being the highlight of our night. The views, atmosphere, and hospitality completely changed the mood for our entire group. From there, every member of the staff continued to make us feel welcome. The bartender kept us laughing, celebrated with us by pouring shots, and made the experience so much fun. The front host (I'm so sorry I forgot your name!) also checked in on us and made sure we were having a great time. Even the security guard went above and beyond... he held his flashlight up while we were taking pictures so we could have the best lighting for our photos. It may seem like a small gesture, but it perfectly showed how every single person on the team genuinely cared about making our night special. Before we left, Kirsten came back one last time just to make sure everyone was happy... I've been to a lot of restaurants, lounges, and clubs, but I've never experienced service like this, seriously. The staff at Sugar don't just provide great service... they genuinely care about people. That level of kindness is rare and honestly brings tears to my eyes, and it's something I'll never forget. Thank you, Kirsten, and the entire Sugar team, for turning what could have been a disappointing night into one of the most memorable experiences my friends, my sister, and I have ever had. We'll definitely be back. Thank you, genuinely.

I coordinated ahead of time with the night manager regarding a prix fixe menu that included drinks for our group of 20 ladies. When we arrived, there was unfortunately some confusion. From our prior conversations, I don't recall it being explained that it would be more of a sit-and-stand dinner setup. The space itself was beautiful, but it felt more suited for cocktails rather than a seated dinner for a large group. We were offered another option at the Tea Room on the other side, which had more dining space. I will say the food was excellent--Asian tapas-style cuisine and everything we tried was very good. However, there still weren't enough seats for everyone, and two bridesmaids and I ended up standing for most of the dinner. They did eventually bring out two chairs, but by that point I was already a bit frustrated. Another challenge was communication with the staff. We were being charged for sparkling water when we had asked for regular water, which should have been included with our meal. I also had to remind them that our package included two drinks per person. The drinks came out slowly, while the food came out quickly. I understand accommodating a group of 20 can be challenging, and overall everything worked out with a few bumps along the way. That said, the food really was excellent. I would definitely come back but with a much smaller group or for a date night.
