While I love getting pedicures, the part I dread the most is the callous scrub because of the uncomfortable almost painful sensation. This time, however, Dawn gave me the first EVER pedicure without the horrible ticklish feeling - amazing! When all was said and done, I wanted to do it all over again. Nancy took great care of my mom, who is a nice retired lady who enjoys working at the salon to keep her busy. My mom also enjoyed her experience. The environment is clean and calm with nice music in the background. We enjoyed it so much that we made an appointment for a future visit. Please note: While they may accept credit/debit cards, we were asked to pay with cash for a $120 bill. Since I didn't have enough with me, it was suggested that I go to the bank and come back and then pay. There was no indication cash is preferred. I didn't like that, especially since it was our first visit and we had made it clear it was. I'm sure it's related to what Visa/MC charges for its use. That said, I will bring cash next time.

I get a basic gel polish manicure on my real nails and regular polish on my toes. My polish still looked great after 3 weeks, no chipping or peeling, and I am hard on my nails! I only went back so soon because my nails had grown a lot. The same staff was there both times. Vivian and Mia did a great job on my nails both times. I have apprehension going to any nail salons because of past drill overuse completely obliterating my nails and cuticle injuries/pain from multiple other salons. I just asked them up front to please be careful not to sand too much. They are very gentle and detail oriented. I don't mind quiet appointments, but I talked to them the first time and they were friendly. The second time I stayed mostly quiet and I didn't mind them quietly chatting with each other. Both times I felt well taken care of. There was another client or two there each time. I was glad it wasn't packed. It cost $85 total (before tip) to take off the old polish & get the new polish. I prefer no manual massage (I do use the massage chair). To me, it's a fair price and worth it for the relaxing and less crowded atmosphere, easy parking and being accommodated with my special request. They also offer a complimentary drink such as a mimosa, champagne, etc. I kind of want to gatekeep, but this salon deserves our business -I recommend!

So I ended up going back in a couple months later and at checkout let them know I had a free mani on my books. The guy said no you have to come back within two weeks and he looked and said I hadn't been in a couple of months. I explained I know and that we talked about this and he said it was ok, etc. well he got incredibly heated and was basically denying the free service. He was adamant that I'd need to come in in the two weeks in order for it to be valid an become surprisingly escalated about this. I told him we already talked about this, I'm a busy mom and that he agreed about to this plan. He started yelling at me so much that his lips were shaking!!! I told him that I wasn't going to pay for it bc that's not what the deal was and he's more than welcome to take the polish off then if he isn't going to honor the deal. It wouldn't have been an issue if the last polish didn't come off in a few days anyway! Anyway, this review is long overdue... he got so angry I was pretty shook and crying leaving there... i was newly pregnant with our third just doing a little self care and taking some time to myself. At this point, we've given them enough chances... they've officially lost us as customers and I highly do NOT recommend going here.

Shannara, has done micro blading on my eyebrows, permanent eyeliner, waxes and knows exactly what skin care products I need from cleanser to moisturizer, and everything in between. I go to Jen anytime I want to do something with my hair and she knows just what to do. I show her my reference pictures, and she's always able to create the look I'm after. She's bleached my hair, we've gone pink, purple, blonde and just did a wolf cut (which I was super nervous about) but it came out AMAZING! They've been very communicative when asking to reschedule and the salon is so beautiful and clean. The other ladies that work there are so nice and always talk to me like we've been friends all my life, I highly recommend this shop for any needs you have.

Not to mention the massage and wash she does with the cut is so refreshing. Today I took my 3 year old son for his first hair cut out! My husband had been doing his hair but we could not do his hair at home as my son kept refusing to cooperate. Manijeh was amazing with my son! He had so much fun, despite some road bumps with his refusal. Manijeh had a bunch of tricks in her back pocket to get him to finish the entire hair cut. Even though my son didn't love the whole process, he still enjoyed his time and is willing to come back. Great little spot for hair cuts in Alpine. I'm never going anywhere else for a cut! Never coming to this place again…read more First, I made an appointment for eyebrow wax at 11, and didn't get seen until almost 11:30. She did an okay job with the shape, but was totally unprofessional. She led me to the wax room and the towels on the bed were dirty, I considered leaving for the second time then, but I really needed them done for an event that night. She didn't use any powder or oil before waxing, and didn't use any cooling or soothing gel afterward, which I can handle, but she didn't even wipe off the excess wax! The WORST part of this whole experience was that she kept the door open and had conversations with other customers while she was working on me! In addition to the uncomfortable experience, the place looks cheap and messy. I will still be driving down to La Mesa and El Cajon for my beauty upkeep. This experience was almost as bad as another salon that took half my eyebrow off.
