Overall I was pleased with our meal. Stopped in late afternoon after flying in to Nola and headed to the north shore for a business trip. I was concerned because we were the only people. The restaurant but the sushi was better than expected and I also got the. Fried Jalepeno popper with soft shell crab. That stuff was quite tasty. I would eat there again if I sushi fix in that area. It he service was great as our server chatted with us and was super sweet! read more

This place was delicious. The atmosphere was perfect. Not a crowded place so it was enjoyable. We asked for three different sushi rolls that the server recommended and they were extraordinary! We also ordered two different flavored sake: apple and plum. Both were scrumptious, but plum flavor was the best. For appetizers we ordered edamame and snow crab salad. Unfortunately I forgot to get pictures of the food until the the end. A picture of the southpaw roll, we'll at least what was left of the southpaw roll. The workers were so helpful and respectful. I can't recommend this place enough. 10/10 stars, we will definitely return! read more

I wouldn't call this Japanese exactly, but maybe fusion type rolls. Lots of menu items, can't believe all of them are offered. It almost seems like Chinese menu for rolls. Nice people, friendly service. It would be nice to have more customers because food is pretty decent. read more

Went to Twin Sushi today while I was waiting for tires to get put on my truck. I'm glad we did. The food was amazing. We got the Snow Crab and Jalapeño Poppers to start. My wife had the Chicken Katsu (of course I tasted it) and I had the Fleur de Lis Roll. It was ALL delicious. We could tell how fresh everything was. The owners took care of us and they were so nice and attentive. Not to mention this may have been one of the cleanest places I've eaten. They now have a regular customer. You must go there!!! read more

Twin Sushi - Snow crab & jalapeño poppers - Japanese Near Me - Mandeville, Louisiana

One of the best sushi restaurants on the Northshore!! Very nice tasteful decor, and friendly atmosphere. Twin is the owner, she and her husband are beautiful people. Everything is delicious and always fresh. You will love it!! My favorite appetizer is the Jalapeño Poppers, stuffed with cream cheese and crab-stick, deep-fried, and drizzled with chef & eel sauce. Some of my favorite rolls are Daves Special, Burning Man, Bro Cole, Fleur de lis, JJ Roll, Kirin roll.... Sushi rolls are not overloaded with sauce, which saves calories. If you prefer plenty of sauce, which sometimes I do....so I just get extra on the side and drizzle to my liking. You will love it!! read more

We had waited 40 minutes already where they didn't explain why, then We were served sushi that was messed up (just look kind of thrown together and had not much flavoring) then when we asked about it they gave us attitude took it back and said that since we had eaten some of it (the pieces that looked okay) they wouldn't remake it. However they never gave us the plate back with half of our sushi even if it was messed up. Then the kitchen threw a bit of a fuss and it was awkward for us as we're watching them argue about us. Then served us sushi with sauce we asked to be not put on there and we asked for our check and left. I paid $30 for this experience. And then told my friend and he said he got food poisoning there so I couldn't even force myself to eat the $30 food. read more

Service not so good, but food very good. My sister & I were craving sushi and Twin Sushi had a good rating on Yelp. It took a while to get our food ordered, and then we waited forever for our food. For appetizer we ordered jalapeño peppers with stuffed snow crab and it was delicious!!!!! Definitely suggest to order them. They were awesome. We also ordered a crunchy roll and Mandeville roll to share. They both had snow crab inside. The Mandeville roll is fried, and the crunchy isn't. Both were good, but taste pretty much the same as any place you'd order these rolls from. Prices were pretty cheap, cost about 20 dollars tip not included. It was really enough to share! The environment was calm and quiet, it was decorated nice and cute. read more

Best sushi on the northshore! The owner Twin is super friendly and funny. My favorite rolls are the Pamela roll and the Maui roll. The sushi in general is delicious and very fresh. They do offer take out which I use often. read more

Sushi was fresh, there just wasn't much of it. $12 for a Rainbow Roll (for lunch) that had very little crab and the thinnest layer of Salmon and Tuna I have ever seen. I wanted to like this place and have given it three chances and each time, the result has declined since the visit before. My advice, stick with Megumi. The large majority of this roll was cucumber, which wouldn't be bad if I ordered a Cucumber roll. read more

Twin Sushi is our favorite restaurant. My husband loves sushi but he is picky on his preferred sushi places. Twin Sushi staff is always pleasant and courteous. The owner remembers our orders (which might be because we go there so much). I've read previous reviews about the service and I have to disagree. Sushi is a culinary art that Twin has cultivated over time. We respect the process and the demand on her staff when she is busy. The place is kept extremely clean and the atmosphere is really nice. Can't ask for more! read more

I've always loved going to Twin over the years!! She's remembered my entire family even after moving to houston and returning to visit almost two years later! She also always remembers our order and has a smile on her face :) she's personalized so many rolls and is just the sweetest. Food is always fresh and never fails to satisfy! Thank you Twin!!! read more

This was the best sushi I had in a very long time!! Lots of stuffing and less rice in the rolls!

If you want authentic sushi for reasonable prices this is your place. All the rolls are huge and delicious. The atmosphere is very nice with adequate seating for large groups. There is also a nice size sushi bar if you prefer. I love the sashimi, Erica Bowl and all the rolls. Everything is always fresh and the dishes are presented beautifully. Catering is available. If you haven't tried it, you should! The owner, Ms. Twinney, is very nice and makes you feel right at home. If you are new to sushi she will help you make just the right choice and she always makes a custom toll if you want. Best sushi in the Northshore for sure! read more

We have consistently gone every Sunday this year and they have yet to disappoint. Brian and John(?? I believe his name is) have been nothing but awesome. The only way up is Twin. We have tried most specialty rolls by this point and have not been disappointed yet. Try the fleur de lis, legend, cherry blossom, and chop chop. They are truly awesome! read more

Good sushi. Lots of rolls to choose from. Service was ok. They took my order, brought my food and didn't return until I was finished. I was one of two tables in the entire restaurant. Beautiful plating and display. I was way too hungry to snap a pic. Would return if ever on this side of the lake again. read more

By far our FAVORITE sushi spot, even compared to Japan and California. You can't beat the prices, the quality is AMAZING, and no matter how many months goes before we stop by again, Ms. Twin always remembers us! The sushi is just amazing, and the hot towels at the beginning are a nice touch. We drive from New Orleans all the way here just because it's our favorite. read more

Love twin sushi! Everyone is so nice and helpful. The food is quick to come out and everything is consistently clean. The sushi is so so good. The rolls that I would consider more popular at most places were my least favorite by comparison here. My advice is branch out and try some of their special rolls. The Pamela roll is my current favorite And get the fried jalapeño poppers.. they were amazing! read more

I ordered carry-out at lunch, so I can't speak fully to the service. However- I will start with the highlight- the Nigiri sushi is amazing. Delicious! I found the menu online and ordered from the lunch menu. They really only had one roll listed (which is what I ordered) that didn't come with other things. I wish they had more sushi menu items on their lunch menu. I was a little surprised at the price, but when I went to pick my food up I definitely felt I got my $'s worth, however wish they had cheaper menu items for times when you don't want to spend or eat as much. Good service when I picked up, barely had to wait Overall good experience. Very satisfying and delicious. read more

Came in here for dinner today for the very first time with my boyfriend. Absolutely loved it and definitely recommend eating here! We got the flordali sushi roll and crunchy roll. After we ordered salmon teriyaki and chicken teriyaki, they both tasted delicious. Our server was Mrs. Twin and she was one of the most friendliest and upbeat waitress we've ever had. Made us feel very welcomed and didn't rush us out being that we stayed a little bit past close. We'll be coming back! read more

We just moved to Mandeville and almost didn't try this place due to the reviews. The food and service were both great! We will go back!
