Tucked away in the golf club house. We stopped for to-go sandwiches to take on a hike. Very friendly staff. Quick. Good food.

Review for the catering arm of Eats & Sweets, Blue Farm Catering:…read more We had a wonderful experience working with Blue Farm Catering! After weeks of searching for a wedding caterer that could cook up good food without breaking the bank, we stumbled upon BFC. Because they were the only caterer within our budget and food preferences, they were the only caterer we scheduled a tasting with. They invited us to the farm for the tasting and seated us in a converted barn. As my fiancé and I were waiting for the food, I told him, "This food better be good because we have no other options." And to our great relief, the food wasn't just good, it was absolutely delicious! Fresh, flavorful, homemade, and clearly made with great skill and care. It only took a few bites for us to know we had found our caterer. We also like that they're a family-owned small business, that much of their food comes from their farm, and that they make everything from scratch. To reduce the complexity of the day, our stress, and the costs, we had them do all of our food for us. For our late morning wedding, BFC catered appetizers for the cocktail hour, a lunch buffet, and desserts, including the wedding cake. Jordan was our contact throughout the process, and she was a joy to work with. She responded promptly and thoroughly to all our queries. No question or concern was too small. When it came time to set the menu for our 180 guests, she worked with us to accommodate an extensive list of dietary restrictions with grace and flexibility. We are both indecisive, and everything sounded so good, we had a hard time making selections. Jordan used her catering expertise to help us build a menu that would have something for everyone. When it was time to decide on the wedding cake, which we had given zero thought to, Jordan provided us pictures of designs and popular cake flavor combinations. On the day of the wedding, there was plenty of food, and we received many compliments from our guests. Several of them said it was the best wedding food they had ever tasted (and we agree!). Because the church holding our reception doesn't allow outside caterers to use their kitchen, BFC just cooked everything in their food truck. We were running a bit behind schedule, but BFC rolled with it. The serving staff was professional, kind. There was one small issue, but once we alerted Jordan, she took care of it to our satisfaction. Did I mention they're LGBTQ friendly? You never know these days, but BFC had zero issues catering a wedding with an interracial pair of grooms. We HIGHLY recommend Blue Farm Catering. Fantastic service, amazing value, and the most delicious food! We hope to never plan a wedding again, but we will definitely use Blue Farm Catering for our future catering needs.

One does have a bar area to sit & get service for people in groups of 1-2. There is literally Orioles memorabilia on every surface. They even have bats as a room divider. Terrific place to get some good historical information from the many articles, pictures, & other things. A great conversation starter as well for your party to discuss while eating. They have a typical diner menu with lots of options. They even have a 60 & over selection which is great to see. They serve breakfast, lunch, & dinner. There is a special board as you walk in so check it out before seating yourself. We ordered the liver & onions, and a Grilled Chicken w/ham & cheese on top. Both came with 2 sides. We did get the sweet potato fries & they were very yummy!!! They were both tasty. You do get lots of food for the price. Super reasonable prices for the portions! They do have desserts in a case that look super tempting & I am sure they taste just as wonderful as they look. We didn't have any room. Service was good. You can tell that this is a popular place for locals. Some knew the waitstaff as they came in. They are friendly & helpful. Would for sure come back again when craving diner vibes & grub!

Staff and regulars seem to know each other well, giving it a true mom-and-pop feel. We were warmly greeted and seated quickly. Drinks came out right away, and the service was attentive throughout our meal. I had the steak and eggs with house potatoes and toast. While I'm not sure it was actually ribeye as listed, it was tasty and well-priced. The brunch burger was also a hit, no complaints there! They offer a tempting variety of baked goods, including coconut cake, red velvet, and rice crispy treats, plus a fridge full of pies. You can also grab a T-shirt for $20 to celebrate their 40th anniversary. I'm planning to come back for lunch soon to try their award-winning chicken. Bonus: there's plenty of parking in the back.

My only complaint was the grilled onions on the Swiss burger were not tender--I think they were from the outermost skin of the onion. I literally could not bite through them but had to gobble them like spaghetti you can't break! Hubs ordered the Burger of the Week which had Doritos and was so large it came with a steak knife in it! Chips were fresh and waffle fries were perfect!

Service is good and they are very attentive. Our water glasses were never empty. Server very well acquainted with the menu and they even have specials off the menu. Menu doesn't have tons of choices, but makes sense when everything is prepared fresh and what is on the menu is done extremely well. First, drinks... yum! They have a terrific happy hour deal. That is worth a visit on its own. It's pretty spectacular and the drinks are great. The good news is you can get the HH without sitting at the bar. We had an Old Fashion, a Lemon Raspberry Martini, a Lemon Drop martini, a Sidecar, and a Carajillo. All were well made and delicious. The Carajillo was amazing - better than an espresso martini!! The food was wonderful. First course was the Baked Avocado, Cream of Crab soup, and the mussels which weren't on the regular menu as they were a special. The Avocado was fabulous and not too heavy. The mussels were in a delicious broth. Cream of crab was good but not worth the $21 a bowl (just average as you would get anywhere else). Second course was Filet Mignon, Shrimp and Crab, and House Made Pork Sausage Pappardelle. All were delicious and served with sides that elevated the flavors. The filet is a fav! The portions were a great dinner size and not overwhelmingly huge. We skipped dessert, but they were all great choices. We had previously had their s'mores which is a must try! They do have good coffee as well. Great location, intimate setting, nice people and a wonderful place to visit for a wonderful meal. Worth visiting. Be prepared as they are pricey (over $300 for 4 people). It's odd because their Happy Hour is just such a steal for the craft cocktails available (I guess gets you in the door). Perhaps sit at the bar for HH and just get drinks for a reasonable option. Maybe throw in a charcuterie board to snack on while enjoying the libations. For sure will be back.

They have a small menu, but sometimes that's nice not having to make so many decisions and usually that means the courses are quite good. I ordered the peartini, which was good but didn't have strong pear flavor. They brought out bread with our starters (3 pieces for 2 people - I never understand that!) which was tasty and my salad course was delicious. My husband really liked his soup too! For our entrees, he got the filet mignon which he said was excellent, but my shrimp and crab with gnocchi dish was disappointing. I think the sauce broke so it was swimming in oil. I tried to eat the pieces off the top and the shrimp were huge and gnocchi very soft and flavorful, but I couldn't get over the amount of oil. For dessert, he got the crème brûlée which he enjoyed and I got the s'mores. Mine was good, but the chocolate was very thick and heavy. I was hoping for a lighter mousse to end my meal instead. Overall we had a nice time and enjoyed our date night out, but I think the food is a bit inconsistent.

On one hand I want to try again for dinner but for the price, I'm not sure it's worth it. Pros: Amazing service - very attentive server(s); we had one in training/shadowing and she was just as good as our primary server, offering refills, clearing plates, overall greet banter Cocktails are fantastic - had the Minnie Ripperton and loved it - creamy yet refreshing and bright which is a tough combo to achieve Cons: Hidden entrance - after circling what looked like an abandoned building 2x we finally figured out the entrance was in the backy and down a set of stairs. I now understand the "speakeasy vibe" but the clutter in the front made the building look abandoned or under construction; not a great start to the experience for us Food service - the other couple we were dining with got their entrees about 10 minutes before ours and we were some of the first orders & diners of the day. Usually you might hold the whole table or refire some of the dishes so it all comes out at the same time. They finished theirs before we even got our to start, making it a strange eating experience Small print menu - with the low light of the speakeasy, the menu had the teeeeniest print I've ever seen making it very difficult to read the menu options. We also didn't realize that the menu changes/is seasonal (not called out on the website) so many of the items we had wanted to try were not an available option. I love a menu that changes but hope it's indicated on the website (aka: sample menu, subject to seasonal change) Hit-n-miss: Fried chicken Benedict- huge portions, amazing biscuits and perfectly poached (but unseasoned?) eggs. I don't know if the hollandaise soaked into the fried chicken or never existed at all - and that's the thing you want with a Benedict. If it existed, it never reached the biscuits because while they were good, but were completely dry Shrimp and grits - perfectly cooked, great consistency, but very under-seasoned Water - just an observation and maybe it's just the local tap water flavor but it tasted off or as off the soap hadn't been washed from the glasses Pro Tip: be aware of the automatic gratuity in some circumstances; if you don't know, check the website before your meal!
