I had them replace an older Aiphone intercom with Unifi access and they came and installed a Unifi door reader, cleaned up my door strikes, installed a unifi in wall in a rental unit so we could pass through an additional POE port to a Unifi intercom and then came up with an idea to consolidate my networking gear in my garage so I changed scope after day 1 to include that and also setup a gate hub automation. I also had them do a new cat6 run and they did a great job with that as well as patching up the holes from older cables. Great communication - they know their networking and Unifi gear and I would recommend to others looking for ethernet/wireless/security cameras and expertise with Unifi gear.

I remember that the cost was reasonable, but this was over 3 decades ago. I know the system still works great because too often, I accidentally set it off. A couple of times over the past three decades, the back up battery dies, so I have to call them up and they come out and replace the battery. A few years ago, they noted during a call to replace the battery that my alarm hardware was dated and they replaced it. About a year ago, I told them that the pressure pads under the carpets stopped functioning years earlier, so they replaced them with more effective and sturdy motion sensors instead. In addition, my keypads were wearing out after 30+ years, so they had to replace them. I can't see any wiring inside my house, so I have no idea how they do what they do. They've given me home security and good service for over three decades. What more can I ask for?

The cameras have gone bad and the panel no longer works so I had to spend over 1K replacing everything (panel alone is $600). When I spoke with the sales rep they assured me that my indoor camera and DVR is compatible with the new panel. The only reason I stayed with Vivint was to keep the DVR option for continuous video viewing (going through clip after clip on your tiny phone screen is painful and there is no option to watch the clips on your desktop). If not for that I was going to switch to a cheaper option. Surprise surprise, bait and switch first when I spoke with another sales agent after the first said they had set up an appointment and waived the $100 technician fee (sucks because there is no option for self install). Then when the technician came he said the panel is not compatible with the DVR I have and a new one is probably $400. Now of course when I go online I find out the DVR may not be an option at all anymore. I would not have stayed with them had I known that the DVR was no longer an option.
