I sadly don't have a garden, but I love dropping in just to browse. They have a small outside section with a good variety of plants which vary with the season. It's almost like visiting an actual garden. Inside is also immaculately presented, with a small but good range of seeds, pretty pots, garden ornaments, etc. The staff are friendly too. In fact, it would be fair to say that my…read moremost successful gardening moment to date was aged 9, growing cress from a yoghurt pot with the rest of Primary 5. Recently however, I've had a revelation and I am now growing not one, but six (!) different herbs. Although off-put occassionally by rouge squirrels having a nosey, last weekend I successfully grew them to the height that repotting was required. Not up for treking out to one of the mega gardening centres, I was very pleased to discover that only 10 minutes walk away was the beautiful North One! This little garden centre is small but perfectly formed. As well as stock a range of pot plants and herbs, they have every type of seed, soil, pot and cane imaginable. Prices are however, a bit more steep than you would get in one of the chains. I was a bit taken a back to discover that a cute purple bench, just big enough for two but no more was selling for £250. Needless to say I left that one to someone that might be feeling a bit more flash than myself! Now I've put my gardening kitty to use I can safety assure you that Mr Mint, Lord Thyme, Miss Chives, Sir Sage, Prof Parsely and Queen Rosemary are looking better than ever! Four terracotta pots, soil, plant food, and a few other bits and pieces came to around £35. Ok, it's a bit more than I wanted to pay but the whole day was lovely. No long commute. No chain garden centre. Just a lovely walk around Islington followed by a day of getting my hands dirty. Perfect!

There is a lot to choose from at Growing Concerns, including a decent herb collection and plenty of wall growing options for most of the locals who I am sure don't have acres of garden space. Let down a little by the staff who seemed a little like the hibernating plants and devoid of much excitement or indeed information. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt as I intend to head back there for more supplies over the coming months. Its got a cute little set-up right on the edge of Victoria Park and has an extra gate onto the canal so if you're strolling you might pop by.

The selections they had were plentiful and the staff was helpful and knowledgeable. Finally, weeks after the rain, we decided to return here and pick plants. We bought a smorgasbord of trailing flowers, herb plants and tomatoes. Its great! They even accomated us to do out planting there since we have no place to plant at home. They even provided us with tools to do the planting. As for their location, it is conveniently located just around the corner from Victoria Park and next to Regents Canal. Overall, we are happy to have found Growing Concerns.

Funny the things you discover a road somewhere as you are passing In this case it's one of the…read moremajor roads coming into Old Street, but not a very pedestrian one. I was walking along, when beyond the speeding cars I noticed firstly some rather good graffiti art, and secondly a load of plant pots around the bottom of a billboard hoarding. I nearly passed on, but was just too tempted, and braved the crossing. On closer inspection I found a little corner of land, enclosed with a high wire fence, and in the shadow of a huge hoarding. Here rows of shelving have been set up, holding row on row of large pots. Those pots contain a massive variety: some are empty, others contain flowers, other vegetables. I wasn't sure what I was looking at: a garden centre maybe? A sign on the fence revealed all. It's actually a clever twist on allotments, with local residents being able to hire a row of pots to grow what they like. What a great idea!

And left me a phone message to tell me were they were. Other shops have tried my home and if I'm not there they take the flowers back to the shop, so very impressed with the delivery side of Igloo. since then i have used them to send flowers and wines. The lady in charge gifted me these flowers as they were past their prime. I rearranged them at home and took them to the studio today to use them on the models face and body. I need to update my review because the Boma Garden centre gardeners are such, such stars!!…read more We have been keen to tidy up our garden by adding some decking and building some raised flower beds etc... but although I was keen to give it a go and attempt everything myself, my husband was sure it'd be much easier *and...ahem...look much better* if we asked professionals to help. Our builder let us down (as he is so busy with other jobs) so I asked the Boma Garden Centre folks to quote for the work. In the end they managed to transform our messy, mad garden in just 2.5 days. They were polite, helpful, left everything tidy and were just a pleasure to work with. I am really glad that we decided to go with them. From storage units to cute little things to hang up on your wall. Everything in it is "soooo me". If I had a bigger room, I'm sure I'd empty out their store. If you're a fan of Sass & Belle, then you'll definitely be a fan of this cute little shop. However, I personally find it a bit on the pricey side (I'm not rich you know!). Nonetheless, it's worth a look around and you might find something you've been looking for!

Eight Square is a gorgeous shop in Spitalfields. It has some of the most beautiful furniture…read moreincluding bespoke chairs upholstered in luxurious fabrics. They have some exotic pieces as well as contemporary shabby-chic looking furniture. The French chandeliers here are just gorgeous and they sometimes have the most huge, amazing mirrors. The owner also brings in artworks by local artists to sell in her shop (I presume the owner is a woman because it's so feminine and beautiful). They also stock the practical items such as linen baskets etc and they have beautiful ornaments and trinkets as well. I absolutely love this shop-it's stunning and the prices match the quality of the products. Some are expensive and some not as expensive. The staff are very friendly and welcoming as well. It's a great shopping experience.
