I ordered a flower arrangement for my girlfriend for Valentine's Day, and Becky was the one who took my order. I could tell in her voice that she truly cares about the customers. She asked about allergies and other things in order to help too build a high-quality flower arrangement that would bring happiness to my girlfriend. This is a place where you'll find compassion, empathy, and a lot of the character traits that seem to be fading away in businesses these days. Absolutely amazing! My husband recently sent me a gorgeous bouquet of roses for our anniversary. When I saw the flowers, I immediately started to cry. Excellent little Mo Town spot! I live in Oregon and need a good florist to send flowers to my friends and family for special occasions! I've used them a couple times now! They are super impressive! My friends and fam have been absolutely delighted with their arrangements! It's really nice to have a beautiful florist in my pocket that I know and trust can deliver the sentiment I am wishing to convey to my loved ones! I used them last summer for a birthday and told them how much I wanted to spend and it was a lot a money. They really came through! I had them do my wedding a few years ago, they did not listen to what I wanted for flowers. I said no pink and no roses... I got pink roses.... I was NOT HAPPY WITH THEM. Most brides love to keep their bouquet, I let my horses eat mine. It was literally the worst flowers ever. I went through the flowers before first got there with scissors and cut out all the pink. They are expensive and the owners never said sorry, never gave our money back (or at least some money), and they blamed it on me even though i showed them pictures of what I wanted. They were completely rude to me on my wedding day. Something I'll never forget! I dont even want to give them one star...definitely not recommend. I left a review on their Facebook and they blocked me. They know they are in the wrong. read more

I would not recommend this florist to anyone! I placed an order for white orchid plants four days before the requested delivery. On the delivery date they sent the plants in a dark color. ( It was very important to me and my family that the flowers were white ).When I found out I was very upset, as I had placed the order four days before delivery date and asked if they could accomodate my request and they said they could. Well they took the order knowing full well that they couldn't. I believe they took advantage of someone calling from out of town ..thinking that we would never know that our request wasn't honored. In following up with them they were very full of themselves and said..."We at Twigs and Stems only do extraordinary work". The gift you sent out may have been the wrong color but know that it was beautiful" Well as far as I am concerned...it was lousy work because they didn't deliver the order that I placed with them They think they know best...but they surely don't. I am sure there are plenty of other florists in Modesto with whom to do business who will take the time to listen to the customer and create accordingly. read more

It was so exquisite and different from the "usual funeral arrangements," that everyone commented on it, even the funeral staff. We were sent to this florist by Salas Brothers to purchase flowers for my fathers funeral. I called the day before we came and spoke to Alex to make an appointment to come in the next day. We arrived on time and were shocked at the horribly rude greeting we received - I introduced myself to and Alex simply grunted at my sister-in-law and myself and stuck a book of flowers in front of us to look through, without saying a word to us. He then walked off to take a personal call on his cell phone. After a minute or so we were both completely disgusted and walked out - he cared so little that he did not bother to ask us to stay. I am totally shocked and repulsed by how we were treated, especially at a time like this. We went to a florist down the street where we treated wonderfully, I am so happy we walked out. I most certainly would never recommend them and am frankly shocked the funeral home would recommend this florist. Simply horrified! read more

I can't believe I haven't posted a review for this place yet. I have been a fan of Twigs and Stems for years. I first learned about this place when they hosted a mixer for the Modesto Chamber of Commerce a few years ago. I no longer buy flowers anywhere else. I order flowers for my husband for valentine's day and his birthday every year from them. They always deliver on time. I have bought arrangements for engagement parties, dinner parties and every other occasion in between. Reggie and Alex are both supremely talented. The floral arrangements are exquisite and unique. They use roses in some arrangements sure but they add orchids, Peruvian lilies, Casablanca lilies, ranunculus, hydrangeas, peonies, anemones, and whatever else that is in bloom. That's why the lovely arrangements last for days. I have bought flowers from other places where the flowers wilt in matter of two days. But the flowers from Twigs and Stems are fresh so they last longer. Regardless of the price point, the flowers last sometimes up to 10 days. That is a long time for some flowers but it is wonderful to enjoy such beauties for longer than a few fleeting moments. read more

I walked into Twigs and Stems pretty impressed with designs inside of their store. I made an appointment to consult the florist about floral arrangements for my September wedding. Come the day of the appointment, I drove to Modesto and arrived promptly only to be informed that the consultant would not be showing up to the appointment. Confused as to why, the male receptionist followed with a "Oh, they must have not called you" excuse. He then proceeded to pick up a pen and some piece of scratch paper laying around and doodled some pathetic excuse for notes as to what I was looking to get a quote on. He "jotted" down my email address (not my telephone number) and assured me the onsultant would contact me ASAP. It's been two months ago and I have yet to hear from them since. Not even a phonecall apologizing for the miscommunication or to reschedule. Very disappointing and would not recommend them for wedding day responsibilities. They obviously can't handle menial tasks. read more
