I didn't realize she could be even more kind-hearted. She knew I was having a rough morning as I just picked up my grandmother's ashes from next door (Allen Mortuary), and she was incredibly empathetic. I picked up the flower pedals right before we were about to head to SF to disperse my grandmother's ashes, and she could tell I was struggling. She had tears in her eyes as I spoke with her. That's how you know you chose the right small business. I'll never go to a big corporation for flowers again. The flower pedals were bright and colorful, just as requested and just how grandma would have loved. Also, her shop is just so gorgeous. I need to stop by again soon. Thank you so much, Violette. Don't let the name fool you. Once a full-service floral shop, they now have wonderful gifts, home decor, clothes, furniture, and who knows what else!! I've told them that they need to change the name to something like "Casa de Flores and Treasures..." and you'll see why! If you've never been to Casa de Flores (right across the street from Turlock Flea Market,) I have a question for you. WHY NOT!!!?? The staff is friendly, helpful, and will go out of their way to accomodate you. Their prices are out of this world and if you see an item you like, but you'd like to pay less, just ask...they may drop the price. But honestly, I wouldn't hesitate to buy it if you want it, because it may be gone the next day...(or hour!) Trust me, I learned the hard way! Yari is the shop owner, and her eye for picking out the best stuff is super sharp! You'll find collectibles, antiques, jewelry, glassware, and so much more. Inventory changes daily, and if they don't have it out front, just ask. They may have something tucked away in the back! Word to the wise: If you go on a Tuesday, get there early. That's the day of the flea market, and people are swarming Casa de Flores on their way to the market.
