We contracted out to Twain Harte Tree Service to fell 13 large bug killed trees on our lot in Twain Harte. Scott's bid was very competitive compared to other tree services in the area. We also talked with Scott about potential issues with dropping the trees in certain areas and he gave great additional input and suggestions on the limitations of the area and how he could make it work in the confined space. Well appreciated input and communication on his end. He and his crew arrived when scheduled and started work prepping the trees and falling them. They finished the job in a very timely fashion and the quality of his felling of the trees was excellent in reducing the disturbance to the surrounding area. Scott also facilitated the removal of the logs for us by contacting another contractor to bring in their log truck as well as hauling 3 loads in his trailer. This was very much appreciated! Overall - excellent service, quality work, very helpful. Definitely hire him and his crew again. Matt J. 12/3/17 read more

We live in a heavily forested area & need to maintain the required defensible space on our property. To do this we have removed a lot of brush & trees. Scott has provided us with the necessary space while still keeping the natural beauty of the area. On the occasions I have contacted him for advice he always responds & evaluates the project promptly. Recently we needed to meet a deadline for insurance purposes. I phoned Twain Harte Tree Service & asked Scott for help. It was short notice & he had a full calendar. However, within a few days he came with his crew & worked long hours to assure we met the deadline. My husband said he had never seen such hard workers. He had to drive to Los Angeles that evening, but stayed until 6:30 to finish our project. He even drew a sketch of our property boundaries & took pictures of the area for the insurance company. Scott is not only a professional, but a very kind, considerate individual. I enthusiastically recommend Twain Harte Tree Service. read more

We are so happy with this tree company. Over Memorial weekend we discovered a cedar tree about to fall on our cabin. The tree was leaning towards the cabin and lifting out of the ground. I called Twain Harte Tree Service immediately. Scott dropped everything and arrived within the hour. He secured the tree to another tree so it would not fall. That was Sunday. Scott was back Wednesday morning with his crew and a large crane. The tree was successfully removed. That weekend we were hosting a barbecue with friends and our three grandchildren and their parents were spending the weekend. If this tree had fallen onto the cabin, it could have been more than devastating. I am so grateful for Scott's quick response. This is the second time we have used this service. Scott is very friendly and professional. His service is excellent. We highly recommend this tree service to anyone and everyone. read more

This is the 3rd time we have used Twain Harte Tree Service. Each time they have provided professional, timely, efficient and safety conscious service. We recently lost 20 large trees in the Twain Harte "microburst" (read small tornado). Scott came with a crane the day he was called, removed 3 trees from our roof and buttoned it up against the rain. He removed several trees blocking our driveway and cleaned up the mess. He returned, discussed our needs and gave his professional advice. His team detached several trees hung up in other trees and also hauled off many downed trees. Again, they cleaned up as they went along. He has provided similar excellent service for my brother and my husband's sister at our recommendation. We highly recommend Twain Harte Tree Service as do 7 out of 10 reviews. We needed one Black Oak removed and 2 out of 3 major branches removed on a second that were encroaching on spruce and pine trees and hanging precariously over our back yard (estimated height 80 feet). The job was complicated by lack of direct access on our property. THTS crews (with prearranged permission) accessed the site by a neighbor's property. The crew showed up on time (with a confirmation call the night before) and in a single day took out the trees, without damaging an existing fence or the trees that were in the line of fire from the Black Oaks. The crew cleaned up the debris, removed all the cut wood, and made sure the area on our neighbor's property was left as clean as they found it. Courteous, efficient, well equipped, and professional all the way around. Wouldn't hesitate to use them again. read more

I have used and recommended Twain Harte Tree for years now and have always had a pleasant experience! Recently, Scott and his team took down a stand of trees for a friend of mine that had died due to the bark beetle (some sort of cypress, I think) that were at least 60' tall and very close to their house. They removed them with such precision it was remarkable! It was so great to have someone with years of experience and knowledge to make you feel comfortable about such dangerous work. When they were finished, you could hardly tell anyone had been there (except for the lack of the tall, dead trees looming over the house). Thank you for taking care of my elderly friends Scott! Look forward to working with you in the future! Kami read more

We had a dead tree between our yard and our neighbor, that my husband didn't feel comfortable cutting down. After talking to several people, I called Twain Harte Tree Service. They promptly came out to look at the tree and give us an estimate. They cut down the tree today and cleaned everything up that fell from the tree. Not only did they did a wonderful job, but their customer service was excellent. They returned my phone calls quickly and answered all my questions, in a way that made me feel like I wasn't bothering them. In an era where customer service is nonexistent and prices are high, Twain Harte Tree Service is both affordable and a joy to work with. I highly recommend Zach and his crew. read more

This company did a fantastic job removing a large cedar tree from the roof of our house. I was impressed at how fast Scott returned my call (I had called 5 other companies with no response) and how quickly he came to our house to evaluate the situation. Scott's estimate was very reasonable and he had a team here within 30 minutes of my approval. All work was completed as requested and they cleared up all the slash. They did all this with over 2 feet of snow on our roof and in our yard! I definitely will call on him again for any future tree problems I encounter. Scott and his team were polite and very considerate of our needs.I read more

We have owned property in Twain Harte since 2002. At least three times Scott removed trees for us. We found him to be quite capable. He removed a very large ponderosa pine from near the road without a hitch and another within eight feet of a building. He gave us good advice on which trees should be cut and which saved, keeping safety in mind. He was fair in his estimates and kept his agreements regarding clean-ups. We will use his services in the future. read more

We had four trees to take down. We're very happy with Twain Harte Tree Service. Scott, the owner, also took care of other tree problems we hadn't addressed for a very minimal additional charge. We are very grateful for his expertise in his field. Our job was difficult with obsticles in their way, such as a drainage ditch and uneven land. A 3 man crew and great equipment and our job was done. We are happy customers and would recommend Twain Harte Tree Service. read more

I called Scott for a quote on taking down a dead cedar that was close to my house. He showed up on time and gave a fair estimate. Scott and his crew quickly topped the tree and then dropped the lower part of the tree. They left the wood at my request and the bill came in lower than the estimate. I highly recommend Twain Harte Tree Service for the honest, quick, reliable and excellent work. read more
