Johnathan and his team cleared pine needles and leaves off my (very very tall) roof. They worked efficiently and professionally, and went above and beyond to leave the area around the house cleaner than they found it. Office staff is organized and responds quickly. I would be happy to use their services in the future. read more

Thank you, Jonathon, for the cleanup of my property here in Sonora Vista, Soulsbyville. Very pleased with the service, pricing, clean up and disposal of years of built-up leaf drop. read more

I have the right company. Jonathan was my primary contact. The crew never planted my lawn, installed a non functional irrigation in back that didn't cover the area and didn't finish the irrigation in front. I have to water my front yard by hand in the sweltering heat every day. Plus all but one of the five trees he planted died read more

Jonathan and his crew cleaned our property before we listed our home for sale. They came in and did a thorough cleaning of all areas. We had hired Northcali prior to this and once again we were very satisfied with results. Jonathan has excellent customer service skills and understands what needs to be done. 5 stars to Northcali. read more

Our yard is on the side of a hill and filled with thistles and sock stickers. Johnathan came out and helped us lay out a functional plan that will eventually eliminate that issue. It's a work in progress but his knowledge with gardening and landscaping is shaping our hillside into a place where we can take our pets without fear of them getting things stuck in their coat, feet, or teeth. Northcali was quick in response with all my questions, especially Johnathan, who took his time to explain how all the materials and costs would be mitigated into the project. We look forward to doing business with Northcali in the fall when the weather is better suited for sod installation. read more

Northcali Landscaping and Tree Services was recommended to us by a neighbor who had used them and was very pleased with their work. So, we gave them a call because we have/had a tree that was leaning more and more everyday. Jonathan came out, and looked at the tree and confirmed the tree definitely had to come down as he could hear the roots cracking. Jonathan is "one with the trees". Jonathan and his crew came out the very next day, and the tree was down and the area was cleaned up to perfection. We highly recommend this company, especially Jonathan and his crew. read more

The team was great from the start to end. They took time to understand our project, gave great recommendations, provided a plan and then executed and completed the project on time. This was in spite of the hurdles due to covid. Jonathan is an experienced supervisor and can handle any situation and guide his team to compete any difficult task! Highly recommend them. They go above and beyond for their customers!!! read more

Jonathan and company are awesome, really friendly, thoughtful, professional, and went the extra mile to give my house much needed curb appeal before listing it for sale. They helped design a landscaped pathway between my driveway and entrance to my front door which turned out beautifully. They also made additional effort to help clear off dirt and junk both outside and in my garage as well as made several return trips back for finishing touches. I would definitely highly recommend their services! read more

We recently had Northcali Landscaping come out and do weed eating around our house for fire clearance. I have been contacting Supervisor Jonathan Gonzalez. He always gets back to me quickly and is both professional and extremely helpful. He is easy to talk to and makes sure that the job is done right. Two of his crew came out (Luis and Miguel) and they had the job done in an afternoon. This job was no easy task, we live on a steep hill. We have been using Northcali for the last few years and will continue to do so! I would highly recommend them! Thank you Jonathan for all your help! read more

I needed to help my elderly parents prepare their Mono Vista property for fire season. I called NorthCali Landscape and got a quick response. Jonathan came out soon after my request and walked the property with me. He gave me an estimate on the same day and I am happy I went with his leadership and with NorthCaliLandscape. He oversaw a crew that is knowledgeable, hard working, and efficient. They did everything I requested plus some thoughtful, extra jobs that helped me immensely. I made an appointment and waited for someone to show up. No one showed up. No one even had the courtesy to call. When I contacted this establishment the next day, they apologized and offered 10% off. One of their men stop by, and said I would have a quote the next day. Three days later, I still don't have a quote. Don't waste your time with this company. Now, they responded that they had emailed me. I checked in my deleted mail, junk mail, regular mail, everywhere... nothing. read more

Northcali is one of the best outfits we've ever worked with after doing extensive renovations on multiple homes. Jonathan has been our main point of contact and has been fantastic to work with. Their team is professional, reliable, and thorough. We've engaged them on a couple projects now and will continue to do more. Highly recommend the Northcali team! read more

From the beginning Jonathan was responsive to my inquiries and questions. We scheduled a site visit for our home in Sonora, CA and Jonathan came to assess the scope of the job. We live on 5 acres and needed help with tree work, pruning, and clearing for fire safety 100' around the house. A crew of 5 staff worked diligently for 3 full days. Pricing was fair. During this time, Jonathan was on site several times to supervise the work and check in with us. They did a stellar job with attention to detail from pruning our numerous trees to weeding around landscaping to weed whacking the orchard to removing and pruning fruit trees. If something was missed or not quite up to our perfectionist standards, Jonathan rectified the issue. We would definitely use them again. read more

We needed to have about 4 acres of land "weed-whacked" and some trees trimmed back from the road for fire abatement at a mountain property. I tried to contact several companies in the Sonora area, including Northcali. Within a few hours, Jonathan got back to me (only one that did). Due to the scope of the job, he decided it made sense for him to come out and walk the property. We set up a time and Jonathan showed up at the scheduled time! He gave us a fair quote and told us what day he'd be there. On the appointed day, he arrived with his crew and they got to work. During the day I received several texts from Jonathan as he noted a few other trees and dead limbs that he felt should also be removed for fire safety--he even sent pictures to get our approval before cutting the trees. All and all, a great experience. We've used other individuals in the past to do similar work and none were as professional or reliable. Jonathan is the first one who showed up when he said he would and did an outstanding job. Our across-the-street neighbor came by to see what we were having done and was so impressed with Jonathan's work that he hired him on the spot to do his property. We will be calling Northcali for all our clearing and tree trimming needs from now on. We are pleased to give Northcali a 5-star rating. read more

Jonathan and the entire team at Northcali Landscaping & Tree Services are FanTasTic. They had the best and most complete estimate over all the other tree service companies I considered. They arrived on time and completed all the estimated work in a safe, efficient, and professional manner. I had additional tree and yard work for them and the included all that at a very reasonable rate. They even did some yard cleanup that another previous week-whacking service left behind. Please consider my reference for them on any landscaping and tree services you may be considering. read more

Jonathan and crew came out and took down three oak trees damaged by a combination of devil worshipping carpenter ants and wind gusts in early summer. Trees were felled with no damage to adjacent trees. Except for a half empty water bottle, the area was cleaned up after the work was completed and all was well with the universe. Pro team. Pro service. Would have written this review earlier but kept procrastinating. Now the carpenter ants are pi$$3d and doubled their efforts in seriously damaging another oak tree that's now broken at the top. Who am I gonna call? Jonathan and crew for the tree and Rambo for the ants. read more

We have had a hard time finding a landscape maintenance company that will do maintenance when we need it not on a weekly or biweekly schedule. We don't have grass to mow, or flowerbeds to weed, we do have 3 acres with hedges, trees and bushes that need attention about every 6 to 8 weeks, with our minor maintenance in between. Johnathon and his crew did all the work we had discussed and even a little more, and a great job on all of it. I will say they are a little pricey, but before work began I had a written proposal and knew the exact price going in. Well worth it. read more

Awesome work and customer service! My yard needed major weed wacking and cleanup. I called 8 landscaping companies leaving messages, 3 called back and Northcali was the only one that followed through with checking the property and quoting. I called the other 2 landscapers that responded and their voicemails were full so couldn't leave a message. Karen was very responsive with voicemail and email. Work was completed within the week and they did a great job removing all the weeds and dead leaves. I highly recommend them! read more

Northcali Landscaping & Tree Services was hired to chop down two trees inside Stanislaus National Forest. One of the trees had grown into the house. It was delicate work. Gave us a quote on decking and stairs and pathways around the property. We accepted and work started. These guys are obviously NOT builders. They tried to build stairs with 1" pine boards, 3' wide. Each step was a different size and distance from the previous step. Attached with brad nails. Not treated and not reinforced in any way. They tried using untreated 2x4 as posts in the ground with 5" of concrete. My wife lifted the post out of the ground with one hand. I had to stop them from building the deck. They were using 1 2x4 as joists, laid flat. The concrete for the posts were not poured correctly and again, they did not use any pressure treated wood as specified in the quote. It took them 3 tries to cut steps into the hillside before they just simply quit. I thought Jonathan was a good guy, but he ghosted us after receiving payment for unfinished work. It seems that the landscaping work is where they need to live...anything more and they don't have the skillset or professionalism to complete the task let alone do it to code or even safely. Very disappointed. I have the contracts if anyone would like to see them. read more
