Not only did Alex go above and beyond by listening to my complaint, but on top of that went and did the research himself, confronted the situation and rectified it all within minutes. I don't think I've ever felt heard at a dealership or a mechanic shop until today, and I've also never felt more trusting of doing business with a dealership than now. Alex, your dealership is earned my fleet account because of your service today. From good experience to bad service in less than a month. Bought a used car from them at a pretty good price and it went well with the exception of how long it took to final the deal and the mandatory add-ons they put on used cars that nobody wants. Drove the car home, parked it since it took a few weeks to get the insurance taken car of and......the car wouldn't start. Dead battery. Called the dealer up to get some compensation and got excuses, promises to return my calls (didn't happen) and then silence. Never known a car battery to die without some advance warnings, so I suspect they were jumping the car before letting me test drive and when I picked it up. A pity to waste a good review with a bad one for a few hundred bucks but oh well. In this particular case the old expression that "a fish stinks from the head" was appropriate since it was the General Sales Manager that told me twice he would call me back and didn't. I have a new hummer ev. I have taken it in multiple times for an issue that is unsafe for me and my family. I dealt with a Jose in service department and I told him of my concerns and left multiple follow up messages in regards to it. I took the car in and he personally drove the car and came back and said in his words oh my god that was super unsafe to drive. They decided to instead put the worn out tires from the truck on the back instead of replacing them knowing that it was the cause from the air suspension issues. She couldn't properly explain the car or answer basic questions, which made the experience feel unorganized. The manager, Kevin, also changed our agreed $2,000 down payment to $9,000 without proper explanation, which felt misleading and frustrating, especially after running my credit and impacting it. The 1st salesperson, Jerry, whose supposed to be helping us but he ran into a meeting was also unhelpful over the phone and told me to research the car myself instead of assisting or offering anything. Accepted the Internet price plus a manufacturer rebate. Did not haggle at all. Just wanted the deal to be done and leave with the car. Next day discovered there were 3 hard inquiries made to my credit when I was told it would be a soft id verification and after detailing the vehicle they delivered it with a quarter tank of gas. A subsequent phone call from Sheyla apologizing for the inquiry became a rude rant from her manager, Faizon, after he got on the call. It's amazing how nice they are when they want your business and how unprofessional they can become once the deal is done. Be mindful before purchasing a vehicle from GMC Tustin. I purchased my truck about a year ago and currently have 38,000 miles on it. The first issue I reported was a faulty seatbelt. I brought the truck in, but I was told nothing was wrong, even though the issue continued. When I scheduled that first appointment, I was told I would receive a rental vehicle. After driving an hour and a half to the dealership, I was informed there were no rentals available, so I had to drive back home without having the repair completed. I returned a second time for the same seatbelt issue and was again told nothing was wrong. Now, at 38,000 miles, I'm being told the repair is no longer covered under warranty--even though I purchased the Platinum Extended Warranty. Apparently, certain electrical and computer-related components are excluded. While I'm disappointed, I was willing to pay out of pocket if necessary. What was most frustrating was the lack of customer service. Before making the drive, I specifically asked if I would be provided either a rental car or transportation home since I live an hour and a half away. I was assured that accommodations would not be a problem. After arriving, I was told they planned to keep my truck for several days, but they would provide neither a rental vehicle nor a ride home. The service advisor, Victor, was polite but simply stated there was nothing he could do. At that point, I removed my belongings from the truck and left. My biggest disappointment isn't the warranty--it's the lack of communication and customer service. Had I been given accurate information before making the trip, I could have planned accordingly. I purchased a 2024 Toyota Prius Prime from Tustin Buick GMC with only 90 miles on it -- nearly brand new. I later discovered that the car had been fitted with Toyo Extensa A/S II tires, which are not original equipment for the Prius Prime. These tires are budget aftermarket models and not the OEM tires Toyota installs at the factory. At just 11,900 miles, these tires were already worn out, with visible cracking and uneven tread wear -- far below acceptable standards for a vehicle that was presented as nearly new. After researching, I confirmed: * The OEM tires for this vehicle should have been Bridgestone Ecopia, Michelin Energy Saver, or a similar factory-grade brand. * The Toyo tires were manufactured the same month as the car (Feb 2024), clearly showing they were installed after the vehicle left the Toyota factory. This tire swap was not disclosed at the time of purchase. I now face the cost of replacing the tires, performing an alignment, and ensuring long-term safety -- all because of a dealer decision to cut corners. While the vehicle itself has performed well, I'm extremely disappointed in the dealership's lack of transparency and concern for long-term customer satisfaction. This kind of tactic -- silently replacing OEM parts with lower-quality substitutes -- is the exact reason many buyers are wary of dealerships. Made an appointment over the phone with Rueben for service, brake job and program my spare key they gave me that wasn't programmed when I bought the truck from them for first thing Thursday morning 5/28/26. Pulled up, some lady said I have no appointment or they can't see anything with my name. I assured her I called and showed my call log the time and who I spoke to. She went and checked and said oh ya, Rueben didn't submit the appointment in the system so it didn't go thru. So they acknowledged they screwed up, but I still lost my appointment and didn't seem very confident I could get the work done that day. The lady said someone else will come out and help me and she stuck a thing on my windsheild saying "NO APPOINTMENT" I literally sat there for 20 mins while they helped every single customer who kept pulling in behind me and never came back. Hello, In August 2025, I attempted to purchase a 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 priced at $127k OTD--the beautiful blue one with the tan interior displayed on the showroom floor. Unfortunately, the dealership would not budge on their price. Their counteroffer was approximately $143k OTD, so I decided to walk away. Several days later, I learned that the vehicle had a recall and was not sellable, with no estimated timeframe for a resolution. Approximately three months later (November 2025), I received a call from the dealership. This time, they attempted to sell me a 2025 Corvette Z06, which also had the same recall issue. When I asked about the original vehicle I had tried to purchase, I was told it was still on-site awaiting a remedy for the recall. This left me confused. If the original vehicle is still unsellable and the 2025 model has the same recall, why is the dealership trying to sell me another vehicle with identical issues? The mixed messages have made the entire experience feel unclear and frustrating. My research revealed the following; "General Motors is voluntarily recalling model year 2023-2026 Chevrolet Corvette Z06s and 2025-2026 Corvette ZR1s in North America to resolve an excess fuel spillage issue during refueling. This is a rare occurrence, and malfunctioning filling station pumps appear to be a contributing factor. The safety of our customers is the highest priority for the entire GM team, and we're working to remedy this matter as quickly as possible." I spoke with a sales rep on the phone who invited us to come test drive the car we had in mind. Before our visit, he texted to say someone else would assist us instead. When we arrived, neither person was there. The sales manager then told us they don't allow test drives unless they first run a credit report and agree on a price -- even though we're cash buyers and offered to show our credit report directly from the Experian app on our phones. This was the most expensive car on their lot, and my wife and I were the only buyers in the showroom, serious, ready, and intending to purchase this week. I had a very poor experience with the service department. I arrived for my 8:00 a.m. Saturday appointment and waited 45 minutes to be helped. I reported a low coolant reservoir and a burnt coolant smell, which the advisor, Jose, also acknowledged. I was promised a diagnostic update by 5:00 p.m. that day and received none. I was also told there were no loaner vehicles and to "call Monday," leaving me without a car for the entire weekend. On Monday, I only received an update after reaching out myself. Instead of clear answers, I was pitched service packages. I was then told diagnostics could take all day and that loaners were "first come, first serve," despite my truck being there since Saturday. On 12/23, I was told my truck was ready, yet they claimed nothing was wrong despite continued coolant loss and odor. When I requested a second opinion, I was told it wouldn't be done because it might "hurt the technician's feelings." I also overheard Jose referring to customers as "dumb when it comes to cars," which was offensive and unprofessional. While my sales experience with Raj was excellent, the service department showed poor communication, lack of accountability, and unacceptable professionalism. I will be taking my business elsewhere. I ended up emailing the person that replied to my review, until this day I have yet to hear back. Again, failure in their customer service but not surprised. I ended up going to Laguna GMC for a second opinion and they found the leak in my radiator in a day. They had the best customer service and kept me updated through the whole process. I will be trading in my truck at Laguna GMC this week. I would recommend to stay away from Tustin GMC! They go above and beyond when you buy a car but after it's a different story. My experience purchasing a 2024 GMC Hummer EV from Tustin Buick GMC has been nothing short of a nightmare. From the beginning, there was a blatant disregard for my time and my business. The dealership was unapologetically disorganized--I was sold a $120,000 vehicle with only 13% battery charge, it was dirty, the tailgate wasn't even functioning, and it took over three hours to complete the finance paperwork because the finance manager was too busy socializing with a coworker instead of doing his job. As an apology for the terrible experience, the dealership offered to purchase the Sky Panel storage containers for me back in February. That was over three months ago. Since then, I've made dozens of calls, texts, and emails, and every time I've been told they're "on back order" and "coming soon." Today I finally called the parts department directly--turns out, there is no record of anything ever being ordered. Even worse, when I reached back out to the dealership for clarification, they completely ghosted me. Not a single response from anyone--not even from General Manager Ronnie Bloomquist, who hasn't replied to multiple emails. It's now crystal clear: they just don't care. What's most disappointing is that this offer was made in exchange for a positive review on GMC's corporate survey, which I submitted in good faith. Review for Tustin Buick GMC - 2025 GMC Yukon XL AT4 Diesel Purchase We purchased a 2025 Yukon XL AT4 Diesel at Tustin Buick GMC in October 2025. What should have been an exciting experience turned into a series of issues that damaged our trust in the dealership. 1. Pricing Issue Before purchase, a salesperson told us they could "get us our number." (89k) The next morning, the same vehicle appeared on their own website $1,000 cheaper than what we were offered. We still moved forward because we liked the vehicle and hoped to build a long-term relationship. 2. $17,000 in Add-Ons We were presented with nearly $17k in add-ons and told it was a "really good deal." (offer 115k) We pushed back several times. Although they reduced the add-on pricing (not the vehicle price), we still paid roughly double market value for most add-ons and were sold at least one redundant product. 3. Steering Wheel Damage We paid in full and left with the vehicle the same day. Shortly after, we noticed a cut in the leather steering wheel, which we reported immediately. 4. Lack of Follow-Up When we reached out about the add-ons and the steering wheel, nobody from sales, finance, customer relations, or management replied. Only after requesting cancellation of certain add-ons did a finance manager call--interrupting multiple times, raising his voice, and telling us, "If you don't appreciate us, you can give the car back." He also admitted one product they sold us was redundant. We requested written communication only. Instead of hearing from management, we received a text asking us to "fill out the survey completely satisfied with all 10s." 5. Reaching Out Again We spoke with the customer relations representative, who admitted management wasn't informed and said he would pass it along. No one contacted us. Before 2,000 miles, the Yukon showed transmission and 4WD warnings--again, no response from Tustin GMC. 6. Steering Wheel Follow-Up Only After all communication and a full written explanation of everything that happened, Tustin GMC finally reached out -- only about the steering wheel. No other issue was acknowledged. We were never provided any pre-sale photos showing the steering wheel condition, and after we wrote that if they felt we misjudged the situation no further communication was necessary, we never heard from them again. 7. GMC Corporate Complaint We also submitted an official complaint with GMC corporate, but it did not change anything. Overall, the Yukon itself is excellent, but the post-sale support, communication, and transparency from Tustin GMC have been extremely poor.
