While visiting Springdale, Ohio with family, one of my family members searched BBQ restaurants in the area online and found Turkeys R Us. So we decided to check the restaurant out. We went on a Saturday early afternoon, and there were actually no cars at the restaurant. The restaurant is a carry out only restaurant. We ordered our food via drive thru, and upon talking to the woman that took our order, we learned she is from Michigan, which was really cool! I believe she was one of the owners, and she gave us history of the restaurant and why she chose the area to start the restaurant. So it was nice talking to her! We ordered fried chicken wings, and a two meat meal, which included rib tips and beef brisket. And two sides, which were mac and cheese and coleslaw. The wings were ok, had a nice seasoned flavor, but wasn't fried long enough how I would like, and plus I do not like wings that are big, if that makes sense. The wings were too big for my liking, I like smaller wings, like wing dings. The beef brisket was good, and the rib tips were ok. I didn't care much for the Mac and cheese and coleslaw, and neither did my family member who I shared the meal with. Also, the meal was supposed to come with a corn muffin and we didn't receive that with meal. So overall, I didn't mind trying the restaurant, but I was not super satisfied with the food. I happened to see this place off the side of the road after leaving the post office. Someone yelled from the truck to tell me it's a drive thru. The gentlemen at the window was very friendly. The food though OMG it was soooo good! All of it....the salmon, the rice underneath, the roasted potatoes, and the Mac n cheese even though I asked for greens but it probably sounded like I said cheese. We decided to try a new bbq place and we are SOO glad we did! This place was fantastic and you get so much food!!! We ordered a lot thinking that we wouldn't get much but we ended up not eating it all in one sitting. The food was delicious and so worth it. This is a hidden gem. Well I tried it again and just really wish I hadn't . The second time was not good either. I ordered the fried wings this time. Said it would be 15 minute wait. That's fine but they came out a little earlier than that and to my despair, THEY WERE NOT DONE AT ALL. My ribs were piping hot but once again, it was pretty clear they had been reheated with boiling or steam of some sort. Despite have the look of a quality BBQ rib, it is not. Shout out to this drive thru. I saw this while in route to Springdale and had to try it. My instinct was to get everything on the menu but I had to he realistic about what I could finish. I grabbed the ribtips which were a great choice. The only reason I couldn't rate this a 4 star is because I didn't enjoy the barbecue sauce, it was too tangy for my taste. The tips themselves were tender and smoked well though so I would grab them with the sauce on the side. Also I got the sweet potatoes as a side (I didn't order them, I ordered beans, but I ain't even mad), and I usually hate sweet potatoes unless my family makes them... Guys, they are awesome!
