A Gel fill. I said that several times. She did not understand me. She said I do gel. I haven't had my nails done in a long time but I had gotten a gel set of nails on Sept 24. I needed a gel fill. So she's filing away and made them very short. Then she asked me to go wash my hands. I questioned wash my hands. You don't wash your hands when you have a gel fill I do gel. She says OK I wash my hands and come back. I'm confused. Are these gel nails? No they are acrylic. I do I do gel over them. I said oh my God I'm allergic to them. She just looked at me and continued on her merry way now. I know the gel fills are more expensive but $55 for a fill and I told her I was allergic to acrylic I don't know what will happen. The insides renovated. They've got a lot of pedicure chairs and seem to have enough people working to keep up with walk ins. The lady of course recommended the most expensive pedicure option which is $55 and I said I suppose as it had been a while. In comparison to the gal on my left who got the cheaper one we were done about the same time! So there really wasn't much extra for the extra money. Then I of course didn't realize that the gel Polish was an additional $15 so when she said my total was $70 I had instant remorse for coming in lol. Far too expensive for the services. I have gotten much better services for a lot less money at other companies. Oh and I realized at home that there's a smudge on one nail and my heels still need more lotion or pumice. read more

Friendly staff and great customer service. They had a wide variety of color selections so I didn't have to settle for a color I didn't want. She continued to sigh the entire time and based my nails solely off a picture and asked no questions about my preferences. My nails did turn out beautiful, but the process was a little rocky. She clipped my skin a few times with the electric file, and my fingertips were covered in nail glue when I left. I feel my acrylics are thicker than what I've received in the past, so I'm worried how my natural nails will be when I get them taken off. Also, bring cash. Went there with a friend she treated me for helping he with yard work. The Pedicure was ok at best, the Manicure was a joke and I am pretty picky on nails more so if paying a ton to get them done. Not once did she cut the cuticles nor take off the extra skin, the nails looked as if she was drunk all crooked and uneven. never cleaned under nails within 2 days my nails looked like crap even the person that took me there kept saying she was sorry. These people get bored with there job and it shows, if I am going to pay 80 bucks for both hands and feet to get done I expect a great job not just at best OK I wont be returning and advise others to skip this location there are MUCH better places for the price and you wont look like a 3 year old cut your nails. read more

Run, don't just walk away. I should have known the minute I walked in and saw how unsanitary it was... I came in for a fill and a polish and I ended up with multiple cuts and bleeding fingers. I'm on my way to the urgent care so I can get checked out and possibly start a round a antibiotics and antivirals because they don't sanitize their equipment and don't use new/disposable files. She cut me multiple tiles with her dremel and even after I ask her to please be more careful, she is looking over my shoulder at the door to see who just came in WHILE STILL DREMELING MY NAILS! WTAF? Lesson learned it I ended up getting necrotizing fasciitis of the fingers. Please don't go here. Spend the extra money and go to a clean shop. It's not worth your fingers or toes. read more

I went here for a fill, and could not be happier with the result! The full set I had put on 3 weeks ago was waaaay too thick, so I was looking to have that fixed. Sam took a quick look at my nails and, before I could even tell him I thought there was something wrong, he identified it AND asked who did my nails last time! LOL he was ready to go yell at someone for making such a newbie mistake. :) Not only that, he identified a few other problem areas (like heavy-handed filing) and talked me through some extra things he was doing to make sure the nails held well for a longer period of time and did not start pulling up away from the nail. You guys - I didn't ask for any of this! I am not even a particular person when it comes to this, but after getting the royal treatment with Sam, I think I just might be from here on out! Had the best manicure of my life the other day at Turbo Nails! Tried the "dipped" nails and while it's a fairly long process, they look amazing!!! Highly recommend... always so nice and friendly and you don't have to wait forever. Best part is if there IS a wait, they are actually honest with you and tell you when to come back! Other salons I've been to tell you it will be 20 min just to keep you from leaving and you sit there for an hour or more! These folks are great! read more

Absolutely disappointed. I have been getting my fills done there a couple times and every time there is something different that is done wrong. The whole appointment was rushed and messy. My one hand looks perfect polish and shape are good, and my other hand is absolutely terrible, like she never even took a look at it. Didn't even try to do the coffin shape, and all we lopsided. Absolutely horrible and will never be going back. Always have to wait 20 mins for my appointment when people can just walk in and get in right away. Poor customer service all around. Had a manicure and a pedicure.... both took all of 40 minutes... cuticles not done well, shaping of nails was terrible, they don't leave any time between coats of nail polish for adequate drying time... and it is noticable, and they did a terrible job on my heels of which they are still rough. It was not worth the price or my time. They were nice, but a very poor service. They need to improve drastically on their time management. read more

I sent my two daughters there to get a pedicure. I am writing this review with their thoughtful input and help. My oldest is 20 and my youngest is 8. My 8-year old gave Turbo Nails a 20 out of 20! She loves getting her nails done, so I'm not sure how impartial she can be. My 20-year old has had many pedicures in her life. She said... Cleanliness: Very good. The business is not brand-new, but my oldest didn't have any concerns (and she knows to look for anything unhygienic). Selection: Average amount of options. Both girls found what they were looking for without settling. Quality: So far so good. The next day my youngest went to school without any chipping or issues. My oldest spent the day at the Mall of America without any problems. Tennis shoes, socks, lots of walking -- that's a good sign of a quality pedicure. The design and polish is very pretty too! Customer service: Fantastic! My oldest thought the gentleman who was running things was awesome. He was personable on the phone and while there. He had very interesting stories to share, which the girls loved. They really enjoyed their time there. Also, I didn't realize that my 8-year old hadn't been cutting her nails at home. After a quick laugh, they kindly trimmed her finger and toenails "free of charge." Value: Very good. Very pleased with regards to the overall experience based on the price paid. My friend and I got a our nails done and one girl was extremely rude. I asked for an appointment at 1, because of how far we had to drive and she said come at 12:30. I told her that we will be late but we can try. We showed up at 12:50, she told one other lady getting her nails done that they can't do her pedicure because we were late. She did my friends nails after about 10 mins and giving her insults about how short her nails were. I waited 45 mins before she started doing my nails. When we went to pay she basically demanded that we paid her in cash. They accept cash and credit cards! We didn't have enough cash on us and she got upset about that too. Pretty underwhelmed by this nail salon. We had to wait 30 minutes after our scheduled appointment to even sit down (and then even longer before someone started our nails). The pedicure itself was also disappointing. We paid the extra $5 to get our calluses done (strange that this is extra), and the callus treatment was laughable. My technician was hardly pushing on my calluses, and almost no skin came off (I typically have dead skin flying everywhere). The massage that came with the pedicure wasn't too bad, but pretty weak and mainly just touching my calves instead of using any pressure. My nails ended up looking good, though. Went to just get a pedicure, waited 25 minutes in the chair before anyone got to me. I got a classic pedicure with gel polish which added another $15 to my bill which I think is a little ridiculous for the quality of the pedicure and paint. During my pedi the lady asked if I was doing my fingers also I said no I will probably get them done next week closer to my vacation... after she was all finished she told me to wait in the chair.. confused I sat there for about 30 minutes before I got up to leave. Basically the entire staff was trying to talk to me to see why I was leaving before getting my manicure (that I told the lady I was waiting until next week to get) I had to explain to all of them at least 4 times that I never intended on getting a manicure today .. the salon was full of people. Been here many times. Just keeps getting worse. Went in for gel removal on toes and pedicure. All together was 25 minutes... 10 of which was him taking off my gel polish. He used a cuticle clipper to rip it off then a power tool to grind off the other toes. My nails were so sore. One coat of of regular polish on toes. Did not clean cuticles or nails well at all. Very rough. Made 2 toes bleed. Was super awkward and just stood over me when I did not tip. Mumbled something to everyone else in Chinese and they all stared at me. Worst manicure ever! She filed my nails short when I told her not to. She changed the shape from oval to round... everything I asked her not to do.. she did. Also they sell an Anti Fungus product!
