When received the rubber was already fraying. After wearing for about 3-4 hours they already had major signs of damage. I went back and gave them my boots. They told me they would be ready the following week on Tuesday. It is now Friday and they haven't touched them because I need to some reason talk to the owner which the shop refused to give me their number. They've held my boots for two weeks now and refused to give me my boots back so I could take them somewhere else to be fixed properly. For those of you who are sitting there debating on replacing your soles on your boots instead of buying a new pair. Please. Save yourself the trouble and just buy a new pair.

This time I promised myself that I would do it ahead of my vacation, but again I procrastinated until the last minute. I found this repair shop and decided to call on Friday and see if my shoes were repairable in the time I needed. I'm assuming I spoke to Nick, and he said he can have the shoes to me by the following Friday (a week later) I needed them before Thursday as my trip was then. He said he can get them to me anytime after 2pm on Tuesday. I rushed over on Friday to drop my shoes off. Something to note, you have to pay before the repair which quite frankly I wasn't a fan of but I had no other option. I headed over on Wednesday and my shoes looked brand new! These shoes are so comfy and I would quite frankly cry if I had to toss them. The heel got stuck in the road on my trip and I was able to yank the heel out without ruining the job Nick had done! She apologized, gave me a reason why the repair didn't work and offered to repair the shoes again at no charge. I declined the offer because the shoes got ruined and I'm not going to wear them anymore. Then she called me and offered the free repair, and to reimbursed me the $20. I declined again. But my super amazing boyfriend overheard the conversation and decided to surprise me. He took the shoes back to be glue and get the money back!! :) Unfortunately, she couldn't fix the shoes because of the material. Got a pair of reasonably expensive boots resoled here (specifically the heels) and I was very…read moresatisfied with the fix! They were able to resole the original rubber heel with a Vibram heel cap, as well as fix a chip in the leather stack of the heel. They even fixed a small chip on the top of the sole. The heel cap was definitely not the original one - and thats fine - the new Vibram heelcaps are high quality and it looks pretty good. The pricing felt a little arbitrary (and possibly a bit expensive, but I have no point of comparison) but given the quality of the fix, I think it was a fine enough price for me. As a rough reference, the pricing for the fix was around ~10% of the price I paid for the boots. I think I'd probably come here again for other leather or shoe fixes, my first experience was pretty good all around.
