Having bought several pieces of luggage at Lazar's over several years, I can say Jackie and Jay are…read morevery good about assessing business and personal travel luggage needs, and the store provides a wide selection of brands and colors. Traveling a lot, I look out for quality pieces that last, and this is the place to shop--not just for luggage, but for a wide variety luggage accessories, too. Even if you have all the travel luggage you need, there are plenty of items are available as GIFTS for that special person that has everything. This HAS to be the go-to store for B&R luggage--I found a deal here that bested Amazon's and Abt's prices! [Full Disclosure: This is why I took the time to write up such a detailed review.] Look for closeouts, as manufacturers change out colors or come up with their latest and greatest which for the most part are cosmetic updates because they're already high-quality travel pieces. [Note: IMHO, the customer experience is much nicer at Lazar's when compared to Savinar's. Although I reside near Savinar Luggage and have made purchases there, never again. I detest its personal experience... Everytime I've gone in, even along with my BF who bought several pieces of high-end luggage, I felt Savinar's staff paid more attention to people who 'looked' the part of someone who might be buying luggage, I'd be given minimal attention when I'd have questions, and worst off, there was the sense I was being followed around--feeling like a common crook. However, even when Lazar's has been busy, I've felt welcome and been assured they would help me with my needs.] Support this family business. Stop in and look around.

Service here was friendly and helpful, as they quickly gathering up other similiar bags in their inventory in case I wanted a newer replacement. I decided to stick with my bag as it works well for me and is a discontinued model. The repair was great.

Excellent service, great selection of luggage, and competitive (not the cheapest) prices. Marjorie…read morewas very helpful in helping my wife choose her carry-on luggage. She described the different features of the suitcase without seeming to push the sale. While we were at the store, several people came in with damaged luggage they had bought elsewhere. The store staff treated everyone courteously and suggested options for repair, even though they had not sold the item originally.

I am not sure that I have been treated as rudely as I was today by the staff at Savinar's. Here's…read morewhat happened: Years ago I had purchased a nice backpack from Costco, which has lifetime return policy. The beg began to tear in several places. Rather than return to Costco, I went to the manufacturer's website, entered the serial number and model # and other information. The manufacturer confirmed it's under warranty and gave me a printed PDF with RMA for repairs by Savinar's. I called them in the morning and they said "Yes bring it in!". They were out of the way for me, so it took 30 min to get there. Upon entering, before I could even make it halfway to the back where the desk was, the employee said "Oh no, we don't repair those, the warranty is only 2 years!" Instantaneously, 2 other employees popped out to say the same thing -- claiming that the manufacturer is "lying" and shooed me out of the store as quickly as possible. It's clear they do NOT want to do lower-paying warranty repairs on non-high-end items, instead opting to work on the fancy stuff for cash. They're a nice store with very high end luggage and bags. However, the treatment I received was what I expected a thief to receive, not a potential future customer who likely would have purchased nice luggage from them in the future, not to mention someone with a valid manufacturer's RMA slip! The store manager claims that NO bags created by any Samsonite company (including this one - High Sierra which is owned by Samsonite) has a lifetime warranty but the screenshot of this almost identical bag (this year's model) from THIS company actually clearly says "LIFETIME" warranty. Moreover even if it didn't have a lifetime warranty, why didn't the store kindly offer to repair it and have me pay for it rather than rudely kicking me out of the store and ignoring me? I still needed a repair for this bag. Again, I suspect they don't get paid much for these repairs and don't want that business. But if that's the case why remain an authorized repair shop? I would choose anywhere but this store.
