When by husband called regarding when our lights would be installed they said they were too busy and wouldn't be installing the lights. After my husband asked a few more questions she said they had to come out last year and replace several strings because of the squirrels. She also said that our house took too much time. He had to ask when they would be bringing the lights to us, it was another we have been busy and maybe this weekend. You pay upfront for the lights and installation then the third year you are too much trouble and they drop you. Would not recommend this company!!!

In the words of another reviewer this is the most unprofessional company we have ever had to build a pool, and we have had 3 pools built. If I could give them a minus star, I would. Poor communication. Equipment and supplies not delivered or not even ordered. Employees unprofessional to the point of rude. Plaster looks terrible and that's after draining it and repolishing it twice!! Slop and glop inside both skimmers. Copping coming apart, and it's only been one year. I could go on and on. Getting any sort of…read morecommunication throughout the process took multiple attempts on our part before we got so much as a response. Oftentimes the responses were minimal and did not address our concerns. There were issues during the build process like mis-laid tile, crooked coping, complete destruction of the yard and sprinkler, etc. When I brought up the sprinkler damage I was told that they would place a steel plate to prevent further damage after the repair, and that did not happen. Trash was routinely left all over the yard along with remnants of rebar, PVC, tiles, etc. They used my paving stones from other areas not in the worksite to help hold down their materials. I all, the work crew was very unprofessional and not respectful of the area. I was left to clean up after the work crew, because none of them took pride in cleaning up the job site as they went. Additionally they pulled/plugged the wrong drain upon install, so as I was filling the pool it was draining into groundwater. Many of the problems were as a result of lack of supervision. There was at no point routine checkins from the owner or another foreman, so workers were simply left to do as they please with no quality control or checks in place. We finally, 5 months later got to a somewhat finishing point, and now, after nearly 8 weeks we still cannot get a response to complete the punch list items. Our contact person has quit and I have been contacting the owner, Brian, for weeks with absolutely zero response.The auto-fill/leveler was not installed as discussed at design, so with the increased rains I have had to frantically and repeatedly call to get someone out before the pool floods over. I still have not been shown how to complete this as a result of their lack of installing the auto-fill/leveler. We requested a UV filter pump and that part is STILL not here, even though we signed the contract in August 2021. The pump will not properly communicate and continually shuts off. One of the spa jets is broken and does not spin. The spa jets are not consistent in their placement; some are exposed about 1/4in, and other 1/2 in. There is no consistency, nor are they flush as you would expect with a spa. The bubblers are not consistent on the tanning ledge; one is weak and one is strong, sometimes only one works. There are footprints in the plaster from where someone walked on it before it cured. For something that was supposed to have been an exciting home improvement project, this has been nothing short of a nightmare. If I could give Signature Pools a 0 star I would. I would NEVER recommend this company, ever.

Yes, there is an hourly charge. Detachment took 1.5 hours. I was charged for a full 2 hours bc there was 'prep work' done. Reattachment would require new flashing and took 4 hours but it would reset the warranty. OK what I did not expect is that I would be charged 50% of the price of a new install. Just a fair warning to get a price quote before a re-install after a new roof.

Since the bathroom light gets flipped off and on more than a light in any other room, it has saved on the electric bill. Over the years I would see their booth at the home shows, and they offer even more options now for fixture covers that would match your liking for other rooms. The light tubes funnel daylight from a light catcher on the roof. The tubes have optional LED light fixtures that you can have put inside the tube, plus optional solar glow light for a nightlight. I keep installing another and another wherever I can. The installer will not install during the hot months because he says he can't take the heat up there, so plan for getting one during the cooler months.

Ultimately Chad won our business with a bid that represented the best value and the most aggressive timeline. Chad's subcontractors were all professional and showed up on time. They made recommendations along the way that ultimately cost us a bit more money, but they were well received and well worth it in the end. Chad is an excellent project manager and has good relationships with his subcontractors which is key in getting them to show up nowadays. Chad was frequently on the jobsite checking on progress and ensuring we were happy with each phase of the project. Chad's project management skills are what sets him apart from other contractors in my mind. He plans for each phase of the project and ensures the client is happy before proceeding to the next phase which eliminates surprises, costly redoes, and keeps the project on time. Given the opportunity, my wife and I would certainly consider Chad and Beyond the Backdoor as a frontrunner for another outdoor project. They had a black Friday deal that if you bought a new iPhone 11 you would get a 400$ gift card in the mail in 4 to 6 weeks which never happened. I didn't get anything thing in writing which is my fault but "slick" had convinced me to "trust him". I had also bought two iPhone 10s at the same time. Slick charged me 40$ per phone to transfer the numbers from our old phones to the new ones which also didn't work. When we got home we realized that the numbers were not on any of the phones ! This was not a Corporate Verizon store, there isn't a charge for transferring numbers at the "real Verizon Stores" . I called him and complained and he said to stop back by the store and he would give me a store credit. I went by twice and he wasn't there and the girls working there said they couldn't help me and try to call him to see if they could do anything !! I think that this place is a total rip-off and would never do business with a "step down" store again. Hopefully this might help someone else from gitting ripped off.

When it was purchased, the owner was informed that we needed a vacuum that would pick up significant amounts of hair as everyone in our home has plenty. The belt burned up last week and was replaced. The vacuum would not work properly after that. I took the vacuum up to the business today and was treated like I was a complete idiot. I was informed (quite condescendingly) that we needed to take apart the roller brush and remove hair from inside. Nowhere in the owner's manual or the previous conversation during the sale was this ever mentioned. When I attempted to pull a few hairs off of the brush she acted like it was full of Ebola. Not a nice person and not a way to treat customers. We usually try to support local businesses over chains, but this woman makes me want to run to the nearest Walmart, a place I never shop.
