Truffle Mushroom Pasta
Mia M.

Oooo Tulipani! How I love you. From the fresh pasta, to the mounds of fresh parm it truly doesn't get better. Located in the Sawmill Market- this pasta spot is one of my tops in the city. You order at the counter, received a buzzer and can explore the market while waiting for your pasta to be made fresh to order. I have tried most pastas on the menu, my favorite being the lemon!

Green chili chicken creme pasta

So good! This is honestly my favorite place in Albuquerque for pasta. The food is always delicious, and the cooks are so nice. My only complaint is the customer service. The workers can be rude and they never greet you or make you feel welcomed. I really wish the service matched how good the food is because the pasta is amazing!

I've been a returning customer at Tulipani since the opening of Sawmill Market. I no longer live in Albuquerque, but each time I come back to visit, I go out of my way to eat here. They have a small menu that they execute flawlessly. Their fresh pasta is made to order, cooked al dente, and I love that the tulip shape helps retain the right amount of sauce. My personal favorite is the pomodoro. The creaminess of the burrata complements the tomato sauce well along with the herby pesto, and the pistachios on top add a nice, crunchy texture. My only minor critique is that I wish they'd bring back the spicy version. The green chile chicken is also worth trying if you want a creamy sauce with a New Mexican flair. They've recently opened up a location at Park Square Market (another food hall by the makers of Sawmill) in Uptown too. You can buy a bag of their fresh made pasta in a variety of flavors/shapes to cook at home.

I've stopped here a few times now and it's been pretty good! The food is served hot and fresh. I do wish there were more protein options. Currently, you can order any of the pastas and add chicken for an additional cost, but I'd love to be able to add shrimp. My favorite of the pastas I've tried is the pesto pasta served with chicken and tons of delicately shredded cheese.

Got the #1 most popular pasta dish... the green chili. Had a 3/10 on spice scale. Was amazing. They said 15 minutes and it came in 5 min. Overdeliver. Pasta was soooo fresh and tasted like it was made that day.

The best dish I've had ALL YEAR! Green chili and chicken cream pasta!

You'd not expect to find food of this caliber at a tiny little mixed venue - BUT - Tulipani Pasta gave us the best dish we've had ALL YEAR! = Green chili and chicken cream pasta. Thank you!

This market is super cute and once I saw housemade pasta I knew I was gonna get some. Mushroom truffle pasta was awesome, next time I'm gonna ask them to put some chicken in there and it would be perfection. Service was great, u order and they had u a little button and it goes off when it's ready. Fancy some pasta? They got great options.

Very nice place, they have a very good menu of pastas per day, the price is pretty good they also have a selection of drinks. We try like 3 different pastas and the best one was the truffle one, also this is the first place when ai try the pesto pasta in marinara sauce and it was good, different but good. The place It's convenient for an afternoon with your family or friends when they all want different things because it's located inside of a very nice food court with a variety of good food. The staff seems very busy and probably that is why the girl who is taking the orders was not so nice but I hope that changes.

The green chile chicken cream pasta was sinfully delicious. They put just the right amount of hatch chilies inside, it was spicy enough to add a kick, but not too spicy to rule out most people enjoying it. The flavors were also quite delightful. The cream sauce wasn't too watery nor was it too thick, perfect consistency, flavor, and texture. We also tried the creamy lemon pasta and that one was not as good. The flavor wasn't bad but I feel like it was missing something to really bring it home. It was just okay. They also make their pasta fresh and sell them in bulk by the pound. The service was friendly and knowledgeable, and you get the ambiance of the sawmill market food court. I would definitely go back for the green chile chicken cream pasta.

3.5 for the truffle and mushroom pasta. Good flavor, but not a lot of mushrooms. Portion size was perfect. Service was good, and the Sawmill is a great spot to grab a casual meal. Love that they have compostable containers... to bad Albuquerque doesn't have commercial compost. Perhaps the Sawmill could switch to reusable plates or bowls.

I loved the green chile chicken pasta. Loved the spicy kick. The pasta was also cooked al denote - perfection. There was also a good amount of cheese shaved on top. Service: average, not the fastest, not too slow Ambiance: Sawmill is a fun place to walk around, and it was nice and warm enough to eat outside.

This place is located inside Sawmill Market. Service was friendly. I ordered the green chile chicken pasta (When in Rome, right?) I could tell that the pasta was very fresh and the chicken had a nice flavor. Unfortunately, it was SO incredibly spicy (very heavy on the red pepper flakes) that I literally couldn't even finish it, and I really wanted to enjoy my meal. I would go back but would try something else.

Sawmill Market is a fantastic, vibrant culinary destination that offers an incredible variety of…read moreethnic cuisines in Albuquerque's historic Sawmill District just north of Old Town. Located in what was once a working lumber yard dating back to the turn of the 20th century, the striking industrial-yet-modern design brilliantly pays homage to the property's rich history with high ceilings, open structures, and authentic architectural touches. Inside, you'll find choices from more than 25 local vendors -- Vietnamese, Japanese/sushi, Thai, New Mexican, Mediterranean, artisan burgers, salads, sandwiches, fish & chips, local craft beers, wines, and specialty cocktails. There is truly something for every preference and the options can accommodate almost any dietary restriction imaginable. The layout features plenty of comfortable indoor seating, plus a fantastic outdoor space (called "The Yard") that offers extra seating, a lawn area, and a stage for live events. Finding a parking spot in the two off-street lots adjacent to the building can be difficult during peak hours, but with a little patience, you can usually find a spot in one of the lots or on the street.

We found the food hall and honestly didn't know what to expect. However, we were so pleasantly surprised that we ended up coming back TWO days in a row. The concept itself is wonderful. You have so many different food options to select from, which is perfect when you're traveling with people who all want something different. We decided that rather than commit to one place, we would try a little something from several of the restaurants. One thing I want to acknowledge is the pricing. Coming from Colorado, we were pleasantly surprised by how reasonably priced many of the options were, especially considering the quality of the food. I will note that seating was a bit of a challenge on our first night. We believe this may have been due to homecoming, the upper floor being reserved for a private event, and the rainy, cold weather making the outdoor seating less desirable. There were plenty of people enjoying the market, but not nearly enough seating available for everyone at that moment. Now, onto the food! We tried several different restaurants throughout our visits, including Hiro Sushi, Outlaw Chicken, Tulipani, and Flora Taco To Go. Hiro Sushi had an AMAZING spicy tuna roll, and if you've followed my reviews, you know how long we've been searching for one that delivers the perfect flavor. We actually ordered it twice! Outlaw Chicken was another delicious experience. The chicken was flavorful, and the fries and broccolini were cooked to perfection. Tulipani absolutely won us over with their Creamy Lemon pasta. It was so delicious that we ordered it twice and even took some home with us. We also explored Flora Taco To Go, where the carnitas tacos were easily the highlight of what we ordered. Overall, I love the concept of Sawmill Market. It gives you the opportunity to explore several different cuisines, enjoy a little bit of everything, and find some truly delicious food. Despite the seating challenges on our first night, we enjoyed ourselves so much that returning was an easy decision. This is absolutely somewhere I would recommend visiting when you're in Albuquerque!

Over the years I keep going back, about once a year: I've had their sandwiches, their pastries, their pies . . . all kinda "meh" and all priced pretty reasonably but not inexpensively. Sandwiches give you a lot of everything . . . except flavor. Pastries are . . . fine. Pies are . . . fine, and kinda small (and not inexpensive, maybe reaching towards pricey); it's the kinda thing you are willing to pay for in order to bring it to a gathering, only to find almost no one bothers to eat it. And so you don't bother. The cookies are pretty good, actually. (And, yes, I know Italian delis - my Italian grandparents brought me to them in New York when I was a child. However, I'm not judging Tully's against these (as in "it's not as good as Back East"), I'm just saying it never really turns my crank.) Today I had a hot chicken, cheese, onion and pepper sandwich, the Carmela. It was a lot of food. But . . . not a lot of flavor. A whole lot of drippy mess in the bottom of my basket, though: water absolutely sopped through the (completely unmemorable tasting) bread loaf and pooled at the bottom of my basket as I ate in. The potato salad served alongside was fine - like what you'd get at Albertson's. The chicken was tender and . . . essentially without flavor, not even salt. There had clearly been a little marinade (I could sense some oregano and maybe garlic in there) but man could this thing have used about five times as much seasoning and then a healthy dose of a vinegar/garlic/oregano dressing on top of it. Bland. Lots of food in that $17 (almost $25 with tip) sandwich, but not a lot of enjoyment. I've had other Tully's sandwiches (both for here and to-go) that were better, but I can't really recall any of them . . . and I _never_ rush back. Like I said, this is a place I think about ("Hey, I'm right nearby; I should try Tully's again!") about once a year . . . and then, meh. To be fair - I believe that I am pretty out in left field on this take: Tully's is popular and always hopping. Get here early unless you want to stand in line. I only had to wait about three minutes to order, but by the time I left at noon this Friday there was a line to order all the way from the counter to the door. In terms of the room, it's a deli. Reasonably well set out with a decent amount of seating set out well, as well as some outside seating that you might want to try when it's not in the nineties. You order at the counter, pay, go get your own fountain drink (they also have some beer and wine, which they will serve you), find a seat and they'll bring it to you. When you're done, you bus it yourself. Pleasant staff - I don't regret tipping, although they don't do much. (As others have mentioned, if you get a cup of water, Tully's generously gives you a decent sized Solo cup - another plus.) It's fine. If you go, at least get yourself some cookies - they're pretty good.
