They gave me a two-hour window for the appointment, and showed up just 15 minutes in, major plus since I hate when companies show up at the end of the window. I had a pretty straightforward job: nail-down carpet in a bedroom that had built up a lot of pet hair over the past year or so from my cat. They mentioned up front that pet hair can be tough to remove, so I kept expectations realistic. The tech showed up right on time, set up quickly, and had everything done within 30-45 minutes. Told me to give it about 24 hours before moving furniture back in (besides the bed), and when it dried and wow. Carpet looked brand new. All the pet hair was gone, which honestly surprised me given what they said. Price-wise, totally fair $150 flat for one room, no hidden fees, no upsells. Exactly what they quoted. For a one-room deep clean that hadn't been touched in two years, I thought that was a great deal. Overall, 5/5 professional, on time, easy to book, and did an excellent job. They're terrific, punctual, careful, and effective at removing stains from carpet and upholstery with no chemical smell. I have 2 small dogs and believe me, their service is amazing and so reasonable! I just recently noticed that they also do dryer duct cleaning, so I asked them to come out and clean mine. I have known for a while that there is an issue with my dryer venting to the outside, but no dryer repair person or siding person wants to be bothered with it. John fixed it. My dryer had a disconnected pipe inside the wall and needed to be replaced, because the section from the inside wall to the outside was not continuous and the dryer was emptying into the wall. There was metal tape and insulation and dryer fluff all getting everywhere, when I ran my dryer, and I tried to clean it myself, but I could not fix it. John took off my vinyl siding, the vinyl dryer piece, and removed the loose fluff, loose siding, made a new wooden housing inside the vinyl to nail the vinyl dryer vent to and now the new metal pipe extends from inside to outside completely. He replaced the vinyl trim, and now there's no more bump in my outside vinyl wall from stuff building up in there. WOW. Can I say that this is my favorite repair ever? John and his son can tackle any handyman project. I've tried for 13 years to get this fixed, and now it is fixed. Thank you, John!! Amazing!

I had actually used them before on my couch and everything turned out great, so I trusted them to clean my patio cushions as well. The cushions sit in a shaded area and had some algae stains (which I didn't expect would fully come out), but I wanted to freshen them up as much as possible. Unfortunately, when the cushions dried, visible rings appeared that had not been there before (see photos for before-and-after). When I reached out, I simply asked if they could do a second rinse to remove the rings. At first, I was told the technician would be happy to come back. But after over a week of silence, I was told instead there would be a $60 fee--even though the issue arose immediately after their cleaning. Their explanation was that the cushions were damp when they started (true, it had rained the day before), but this was never mentioned as a potential problem during the service. Had the technician raised it, I would have gladly rescheduled. Instead, I was left with new stains and no accountability. Here's the timeline of my outreach: July 17: Date of cleaning service. July 19: Once cushions were completely dry, I noticed the rings and reached out with my initial message asking what could be done. July 22: Follow-up; told my message was "lost" but the tech would reach out. July 23: Tech texted saying he'd be happy to come back, but his schedule was packed. I asked to set a date anyway so I could plan ahead. No response. Aug 1: Sent another follow-up. No response. Aug 8: Sent messages to both the tech and One Clean. The tech replied that it would be an additional $60 because the cushions were damp, which they called "improper use." I asked why that wasn't mentioned before they started, but got no reply. One Clean never responded at all. It's now been more than two weeks with no response. After nearly a month of delays and silence, I hired another company (DenaliClean in Crystal Lake). They were fantastic to work with, had great communication (they explained the cleaning options and what their recommendation was), and in the end, the cushions came out gorgeous. See my review for them for pictures of how great the cushions came out. The bottom line: Poor communication, no follow-through, and unwillingness to stand by their work. A business proves itself by how it handles things when they go wrong--and based on my experience, I can no longer recommend One Clean.

It didn't work, the tech thought it might be due to a low battery. He offered to go get me a new battery, he did and still the code did not work, because I am an idiot and transposed the numbers. The tech was patient, and really worked with me to get the job done. He sent me extensive pictures of all his work, he did an amazing job... particularly on the steps. The carpets were pretty bad and he made them look like new. Do not hesitate to hire this reliable, conscientous, hard working company.
