I bought an eversave groupon type deal here for 3 hours of cleaning. Its the 2nd time I've bought a…read moregroupon cleaning deal but first from this company. I was expecting them to arrive at 6 and stay till 9. They came at 6 and left around 7:20 saying that because 2 people came they only stay for half the time. Ok-- fine. The cleaning was ok but they didn't have a chance to finish 700 square feet? They cleaned most things but didn't finish mopping the floors. It was a decent cleaning, but I probably wouldn't go with them again. The idea of a groupon type service is to get a really low price for the customer and sell them on the quality of your product so they will return without buying another groupon. Unfortunately they didn't even bother quoting me for another visit.

After paying for a "3 hour clean," and waiting 2 months for an appointment, I finally was able to set up a time for yesterday morning. I was not home when the cleaning crew was there, but when I came home, it was clear that my "3 hour clean" only included: 1) washing a handful of dishes (kitchen floors not mopped or vacuumed, stove and counters not wiped clean); 2) a superficial bathroom cleaning (some surfaces--like part of the faucet--wiped with a cloth, so you could clearly see the parts that were ignored); and 3) sweeping and dusting my bedroom. All of that would probably take me less than 40 minutes. My living room and dining room were ignored (the floors were not swept or mopped, the dining room rug had large, visible tufts of dog fur on it, the dining room table had food and cup marks all over it, the coffee table had cup marks all over it), as were the hardwood stairs from the 1st floor to the 2nd floor. All in all, it was a huge waste of time and money, and I feel like I was scammed. There's a certain amount of trust that is required to agree to have strangers come into your home and perform services for you. L&G takes advantage of that trust.

The crew was an hour late, which I'd usually find highly annoying, but at least they called to let me know when they'd be here. Despite that inauspicious beginning, 5 stars for the brilliant performance!! We get our house cleaned regularly but this is the cleanest it's been in years. Fingerprints? Gone. Dust bunnies under the bed? Gone. Dirt in that weird ridge on the outside of the tub that no one ever cleans except me because you can't see it unless you're lying down on the floor? Gone, gone, gone!! Unfortunately, as soon as my husband and son wake up tomorrow morning, I know the house will start the slow but inevitable descent into chaos. Rather than kick them out and break up the family, I'll just ask L&G to come back.
