    35 IBS fish
    Megan B.

LOVED Tukka! We went to the location on the North side of the Island. My family and I all had the catch of the day (which is a special on Friday's). It was the best fish I have ever had. The stir fry vegetables that came on the side were my favorite part. My family all got alcoholic drinks - all were amazing. The owner came out and showed us the 35 IBS fish that was caught 2 hours prior to our meal. Great food and great experience. It was the only restaurant we decided to go to twice!

We had an amazing dinner with a beautiful ambience. This place is worth a try for sure. Food was incredible and beautiful setting!!

    Conch + Crocodile Fritters

We went to the Tukka on East End and it was amazing! We had the conch fritters, Kangaroo pops, and lionfish tacos. They have a dock to look over the ocean and gave us a dessert with balloons since we were celebrating a birthday! Definitely recommend this stop!

This is a wonderful place. The food was amazing. We tried a little bit of everything and sampled a lot of drinks. Pina Colada was a little too crème heavy for us. Bar on the dock is a great view and picture spot, they will give you drinks in plastic cups to take out there. You can buy wine by the bottle. Service was excellent and very friendly. Celebrated two birthday and they made it fun. Be sure and visit Tommy the 6' Iguana.

Great service by Omar. He was very friendly and the over all atmosphere is relaxing. We enjoyed some appetizers and drinks! Highly recommended local stop here in the Grand Cayman Islands.

Tukka restaurant is a great hidden gem in Morgan's Harbor West Bay in Cayman Islands. Mylene is a wonderful waitress and so attentive for sure. Taco Tuesday is awesome and delicious tacos as well. Great views of the waterfront harbor is so breeze and relaxing, great atmosphere!

Food was great, environment not so much. I had the hot and cold seafood platter which was delicious along with a mezcalita. I enjoyed watching the fish swimming below the deck. The mosquitos were HORRENDOUS. I had to inhale my food just to leave as fast as possible. I was slapping myself the whole time. Now I'm covered in bites and feel sick, but overall the food was good.

While I was eating at calypso grill, I saw Tukka very near by, so 2 days pass, and I decide to go, with my hope's high for my very first Australian food ever. I was disappointed. Outside the restaurant, you'll see that the majority of seats are outside, there's a surfing theme, a Mexican flag hanging over the front, and an outback scene inside the restaurant. Loud music I don't know what kind is also blasted in the background and there's taco Tuesday, along with curry and beer Wednesday. I don't know what kind of cuisine Tukka represents, because, there's some Australian food, but most food in that of a cantina, and some Indian is also in the mix. After taking a browse through the unappetizing menu, I decided upon ordering the angus beef burger. Afterward, when the food arrived, it only came for a small number of my colleagues, and took another 5 minutes for my burger to arrive, which was annoying, but otherwise, the service was good, but not enough to warrant a 3 star review. The burger was bland, had very little juice, and as a result, was dry. The fries that came with the burger were not salted well, but the kangaroo meat appetizer (appie) I got for the table were full of flavor but tough and a little dry, but were the best thing I ate there and rivaled the burger in every aspect under the sun. The food here is also quite expensive and not worth it for the bad food and meh service. Dessert was amazing though, because it always is, but it overstuffed me, and I crashed on a chair and dozed off. Tl;dr: Tukka is a cantina with an identity problem, including Australian, Mexican, American, Québec, and Indian food. The food it self is not that good, but service is okay and location is on point.

Shrimp tacos while not a good picture these were great

Some amazing food while in Cayman. Nothing bad to say about this find. I found the suggestion on Facebook and it did not disappoint

But this was worth the cab fare. My family agreed that grand cayman has the best bread baskets and cracked conch was no exception. It was a big basket that disappeared pretty quickly. We started our meal with cracked conch , which we figured had to be good here. I loved conch when visiting the Bahamas and Caribbean growing up but it was the last thing I ate in my teens before getting super seasick on a boat and then my conch days were over. I decided I could give it another shot 30 years later and it was delicious. We also shared a delicious Cesar salad to start - the only type of salad my kids eat so we had a lot of them during our vacay. For my entree I went with the conch chowder and octopus. I ate all the octopus (delish) but that filled me so had just a little bit of the conch chowder which was pretty good. My husband also raved about his mahi mahi. My kids ordered off the "big kids" menu and went with the wagyu beef and frites which they seemed to like. They had been eating seafood all week so this was a nice change for them. Our waiter was very on top of his game and great with the kids- probably because he has 5 of his own. We thought the service was great everywhere in grand cayman and this was no exception. This was our last dinner in GC and I think we saved the best for last

Ms. Piper's is right next to the Hampton Inn. The taxi driver recommended it when she dropped me off, and the front desk helped me secure a reservation. I was seated quickly after a pleasant greeting. Even though there were empty tables, the ones that were occupied had smiles and joy on people's faces. The place definitely lives up to its slogan, "share the love" -- I felt it. I started with a cocktail called La Vie en Rose, which was especially fitting since it's one of my favorite songs to sing. My server, Juanjo, was friendly, always smiling, and gave me great recommendations. It was a very relaxing experience. Watching him move around his tables, I noticed he was smiling even while clearing dishes. He moves with vitality and lifts the energy of the whole place. I told him so. The butterfly snapper was beautifully done -- both taste and presentation. The croquettes were tasty with the sauce, and the pepper had just enough spice to remind you it's still a pepper. A good combination. I ended the meal with a cup of rooibos tea. Highly recommended. There are so many dishes to choose from -- and the meal I had was definitely too much for one person!

The atmosphere itself is super fun and the live music really added to it. We started with drinks (glass of Reisling for me) and a few appetizers. We shared Mediterranean plate and hamachi (yum) appetizers. For our main entrees 2 of my kids ordered the Smashburger and my son and I both ordered the shrimp with sourdough bread. And my husband went with the Korean bbq ribs which were quite delicious from the few bites I enjoyed. The shrimp was also one of my favorite meals in grand cayman. Everyone wanted dessert, but my son was begging to get home for the bears game so we got the dessert crepes to go which were SO good. Highly recommend if visiting grand cayman!
