Jashley was amazing. I needed a *minor* warranty part from her when I called on Thursday afternoon. She said she didn't have it, but she'd go to the factory on Friday, pick it up, and bring it to the Palatine location on Saturday AM. She then called on Friday night during her drive home to say "I've got the hinges you needed, see you tomorrow". Then she texted me on Saturday morning letting me know the location was closing early due very dangerous weather conditions but she would wait there until I arrived. 5-Star customer service experience from Jashley. I strongly recommend people buy their sheds from her as she clearly demonstrates service, attention to detail, and flawless follow-through on commitments. read more

Terrible customer service and follow through. We placed an order for a shed and after confirming with our sales rep on an installation date, no one ever showed up. The situation had to get escalated a manager. Furthermore, we were told upfront that no permit was required, but when the situation got escalated, we were told that an additional barrier of obtaining a permit was required. The major problem with Tuff Shed is lack of communication and follow through. Just getting a hold of someone is next to impossible as multiple voicemails were left to get a hold of someone. If you are looking for a shed go elsewhere. For the price you are paying, there are better options, and you will also be responsible for having a foundation poured beforehand unless you want the shed sitting on bricks that will sink over time. read more

Still waiting to hear if I will ever get my Tuff Shed built. Do not pay $1 to Tuff Shed until you have all your questions answered. After you pay Tuff Shed customer service is non existent. I choose Tuff Shed due to their endorsement from Home Depot and that was a mistake. I was told 5-6 weeks delivery time. They must have forgotten to mention that was for paperwork delivery alone. I had to constantly stay in top of them to get responses and kept asking Tuff Shed if there was additional steps I needed to do. I also spent a LOT of money to prepare the site inside the original Tuff Shed quoted 5-6 week time frame. I have contacted Home Depot to point out this reflects negatively on their brand also. A lot of customers walk into a Home Depot and buy the service and tell folks it is a Home Depot product. read more

Be prepared to take a day off of work, pack a lunch and spend your whole day here. It's been over 35 minutes of waiting to be helped and we were told it's going to be at least another 25+ minutes. The sales person (Palatine IL location) basically disappeared after the initial sale, even though he promised to provide ongoing support and help with any issues. We were promised an installation date about 4-5 weeks after signing the paperwork, but it ended being double that. Emails were not returned and basic questions not answered, let alone following up after installation to check on issues (which we had). The actual shed looks good and solid, but we had to call for service twice in the first week, due to roof shingles not being done right. read more

After posting my earlier review citing the less than stellar service, much to my surprise, a district manager from Tuff Shed reached out to me and offered to make things right. Since I had already completed the needed repairs myself I told him thanks but effectively "it's too little too late!" He nevertheless steadfastly pressed me to give him and Tuff Shed a chance to make things right. We eventually agreed, that since the work was already done, the best path forward would be to reimburse me for the materials and labor, which they subsequently did, in full. My faith has been restored and I am once again a very happy and satisfied Tuff Shed customer. As indicated in my original post, they provide a great product, and now I can happily say, they do stand behind their product and will provide ongoing support and service when needed; a side note, if at first you don't get through to the right person, ask to speak to their customer service manager for your area, they as noted, stepped up in a big way for us. I'm giving them one star for just building it. We have a horrible experience with them. We always got their answering machine, it is frustrating when you want to set up a time and they don't call. They were very messy; caulk spills everywhere on our NEW driveway and pathway. During 1st visit, they ran out of materials. How can they be out of materials?!? 4th visit, we were excited that the shed will be FINISHED FINALLY. But we were crushed that they didn't bring any white paint. They would have to come back. What. The. Hell. I'm painting the shed myself! They are the most disorganized business I ever seen. read more

I had to give them one star because that was as LOW as I could go. DO NOT GO THROUGH TUFF SHED!! I designed my own shed, went in to the Palatine location and dealt with Lee, an absolute clueless salesman. Not only did he take personal calls the entire time we were working he could not get anything right. It only went downhill from there. My phone calls and emails were never responded to. I had to go above LEE due to his lack of communication. Then when my Shed was finally build they brought the wrong paint; therefore, I had to give up another day of my time to be home for them to correct their mistake. They left the job site a mess, I had to clean up after everyone that came to my house. I am telling everyone to NOT use them. read more

Agree with all other reviews. We went there to select a shed based on a plan we had done online. The help while there was great. We told them exactly what the village needed for requirements for permit and our specific for the certificate of insurance for our HOA. The plans were emailed to me before I arrived back home. BUT...there was no follow up after that visit. I had to leave a message to remind him what I needed before we could pick a build date because my HOA has the final say. NO FOLLOW UP. It has been 3 weeks. He even wrote everything down in front of me while there. I should NOT have had to make a call to check on it. If this is how they work before the sale is made I can only imagine how they work after they have your money. No thanks. I'm not willing to pay them and do all the work for them by making all those reminder calls. Go elsewhere. read more

Our family gives Tuff Shed a 4 star rating because our shed is GREAT! Bill Hein was extremely helpful in guiding us through the selection process which in turn created a shed that meets the needs of our family. I would have given Tuff Shed a 5 star rating; however, they needed to come out twice to finish the shed because the first guys were not given all of the vents and parts to complete the shed. Once again, Bill Hein acted quickly and sent out two new guys with the proper parts and got the job done! We are very happy with the finished product! Thanks Bill! read more

I have tried to call them about purchasing an add on product. Called 5 times during there normal business hours, get a recording EVERY time. Then call the main Tuff Shed customer service to get another location to buy it. I call there and get a recording. Forget It, Don't wate your time. I'm giving tuff shed 1 star and I'm being kind by doing that. We have had a horrible experience with this company and find their customer service nonexistent. Our shed was supposed to be installed on a Friday between 8 and 10. At 10:30 we called to find out what was going on. We were told that our time had been changed to 12 to 2. Of course there was no apologies about the time change that was never expressed to us. Come 1:59 the guys show up and install half of our shed because it got too dark. But they said don't worry we will be back 1st thing the next morning and finish everything. But let me tell you I'm glad I did not hold my breath waiting for that to happen, because then I would have missed out on this great opportunity to write this review. This morning my husband called the company to tell them what happened and In Return received the response that someone will be out in a few days to finish this job. Of course no one cared that this has been inconvenient or not what we paid for. But unfortunately you can't return a half built shed. This company is awful.
