i've been a member for years and they really, REALLY make an effort to make this place as good as…read moreit can be. Always have. Even when freezing my membership during Lockdown and other times i couldn't afford it between gigs. Sure they inadvertently overcharged me for seven months recently by accident (and I didn't follow up) but it only amounted to $200 or so dollars total. So i asked myself: when does life become more important than money? Here. And the monthly charges are indeed hefty but I've never had a run in with rude employees, busted or rude employees of contract switcheroo's - all of which you find at other gyms. So i look at this way: as we get older, we exercise or we're going to have problems sooner. I'm past the old fifties and this could be my last active decade. Our phones are softening us up and not for good but there's also age so why not go out spinning, lifting and grinnin'! And another positive observation, Ace - how they do it here - I can't tell you but daily, they're mixing kids, adults, the elderly and every stripe of our cultural landscape together under one roof without any apparent issues at all. That alone is worth whatever they charge. We could all learn from this. Reminds me of my beloved Denmark. Normalcy, kindness and respect. It's nice to go to a place that's as much Peace Time as Exercise Time which of course makes Lifetime. Yes it's not cheap but if you want cheap, you become cheap. And investment here isn't subject to risk. You know those annoying brokerage or investment caveats? Not here: you put in the lifetime, you extend the life. And get this Yelp of an adage of mine: a gym is one of the few investments of time where if you honestly put the work in, you honestly get results. Yeah. That's what I'm talking about! Personal growth, Baby! Ah Rudyard Kipling. And you can't script this. I'm doing pectorals like Ren and the next thing I know, a phone call comes in from a Summit number and who is it? Berkeley Heights Life Time! "Sir um is this Charles Savoth?" "Why yes", says I. "Well someone returned your credit card at the front desk!" Honest members, honest gym, honestly I'm not the sharpest "bulb" in the gymnasium firmament! But really are bulbs sharp? I don't know but I'm happy as a clam Lifetime has my back, my Buddha front and my slippery plastic! And clams are happy - they're always smiling. Again personal growth on a mollusk-u-lar level!

Nice gym, had everything you could ask for! Bad part is the price. The cost for one person is…read more189.00 a month. They do have a salon, steam rooms, sauna, indoor and out pools. Cafes and if you get their cup you get free refills. Ample parking and child care services.

So it started badly, as on the way in, I got yelled at profusely, and I mean really yelled at, by some old man telling me I was driving the wrong way through the parking lot - and he stood in my way to yell at me too. It wasn't well marked and was banal as nobody else was driving in the lot. Then when I got on with my cardio, the TV was staticky, and while the gym had some decent stuff and some fit-looking members, I have to say these are not great facilities and the space is a little cramped. They offer no towels, no hairdryer, and in general, not one of the best I've used. I'd give it a 4 if not for the fact that the TV, lack of towels, parking issues, and especially getting yelled at, all made me not enjoy my workout much.

Prior to Covid, the facility was put on notice by me regarding unacceptable hygiene and cleanliness…read moredue to patrons leaving behind their wipes in the cup holders of various equipment. Only after a meeting with managers and CEO did it improve....briefly, while the employees walked up and down the floor giving me dirty looks because they now had to do something. The practice continued and did not follow normal hygiene practices, nor was anything enforced, ever. Covid comes, and enrolled patrons are notified that they can suspend membership until a specific date, and if not (suspended membership), it will automatically be re-enabled and charged unless notified. No ongoing communication has occurred since then, and only verbal information is/was provided. As of July 1st, no resumption of gym facilities yet they steal money from my on file credit card making an assumption that they may soon be able to open, and placing the burden of me having to keep extending my requested suspension. I'll assume I'm not going back as I'll be at risk, and because of their lackluster previous inabilities, I'm certain they may never return to normal. One might think that they would contact persons to ask if they minded them to have their funds stolen.

Well, I had my final weigh out yesterday and I'm happy to report that I have officially lost 25lbs!…read moreFrom 253lbs to 228lbs in 6 weeks. After eating breakfast, lunch, and a 1/2 gallon of water, I was really nervous to get on the scale. This is the best I've felt and the lightest I've been in 3 years. I personally want to thank Amber and Ryan for creating and running a program in which myself and countless others have thrived. This is just the start, because I am gonna keep it going with a membership. I encourage all of you to get on over here and take the leap towards a healthier, happier life than you're currently living. I feel like I ate an entire chicken farm and half the worlds population of tuna in the 6 week challenge. There were even times when I needed a rolling pin to literally roll the knots out of my legs just to walk down the stairs but it was all worth it. I let the extremely shitty year of 2015 consume me and I really struggled with all of the involuntary changes in my life. If I've learned anything, it is that tomorrow is always gonna be busier than today and that the older I get, the more shit seems to get piled on. Take advantage and do what you can now because you never know if you'll be able to do the same things tomorrow. I'm fitting back into my clothes again and I'm gonna even get my dad's ring resized down from my old sausage finger status. I think it's safe to say that the old Doug is back.
