5 of us spent the night at the Sleep Inn across the street from Biscuit World so we had to try it for breakfast. You order at the counter and they bring it out to you. Great service by the girl at the counter (everyone asks for napkins so I'm guessing she isn't allowed to give more than 1-2 out per order unless you ask). She ran stuff out to every table. Couple of us had the little tater combo. Mine was good but I only had a pinch off the biscuit and wrapped up the rest to go. Ate the whole bowl! Good but just needed a little s&p. Yuck. I was already turned off that it's in a gas station, but then we pulled up and the trash was piled in the trash can outside. We went in and the restaurant tables had leftover breakfasts that hadn't been cleaned up. We decided to roll with it and ordered anyway. I should have trusted my instincts We ordered the bob, the country breakfast, biscuits and gravy and a milk. We took a seat and waited for quite a while before the food finally came out. He apologized, because they "had a lot going on" - which meant the food we waited all that time for was cold. Not lukewarm. COLD. The gravy was coagulated, the bacon was COLD and weirdly pliable, the eggs were cold. The sandwich was decent, but the cheese - cold. Wtf took so long when we were basically the only people there and why was it all cold? I almost gave two stars because at least the guy was nice, but he was really just a body there to get the job done. He was doing the bare minimum. Not to mention, he gave us chocolate milk. When we asked for white (like we ordered and paid for), he let us know he was real sorry, but their shipment of white milk hadn't come in. Perhaps, he could have told us that before we paid the $3 for something we didn't want. Overall, it was irritating, but who do I complain to - the guy who wasn't doing shit already and was fully aware of what he served us? Bummed this wasn't as great as the other location we have been to. We'll never come back to this location. read more

Out for our annual tour of the New River Gouge and fall color and dawn was just breaking in East Beckley, My friend and I were both getting hungry and decided on getting something to eat to satisfy the hunger and to kill some time for the sun to get higher into the sky. First places we tried were in Princeton at Cracker Barrel and Bob Evan's. It was 6:30am and one of the Cracker Barrel employees who was reporting to work, told us they did not open till 7am. Same with Bob Evans Drove on up toward Beckley where we had planned on leaving I-77 and going down I-64 a bit and cutting over on US19 to Hwy 41. Last trip up last year, I had eaten at Tudor's Biscuit World in Charleston and knew there as was one here so we gave it a shot. First of all, the were open a lot earlier so when we pulled in they were open. I ordered the Politician Biscuit which was Bologna, Fried Egg and Cheese on a Biscuit. Excellent choice. My friend went with the Sausage Gravy Biscuits and they were great. Portions were very large, prices very reasonable, quality of the food was great and only negative point was that the Covid restrictions did make it a bit awkward. Good restaurant and we went one exit beyond our original intended Exit on I-64 but I would put up with that aggravation again to experience that dining pleasure again. A great stop! Connected to a gas station so you can fill up and get some basics, too. Great biscuits, really crisp hash browns. You order up at a counter, but there are tables and even booths. High chairs are available. Servers were friendly and helped us figure out what to order to avoid allergens. We all enjoyed our meals, mostly biscuit sandwiches for a late breakfast, but the lunch menu looked good, too. Shaved ham, fried baloney, and chicken fried steak were all hits, plus the prices are great. It was cash only while we were there, but there's an ATM at the gas station a few steps away. The cheese is American cheese, so if like me that's not your favorite, skip it. The rest is all yummy and great. At the end of our meal, we didn't totally understand whether it was a bus your own table type situation or whether the servers cleared it, since it's counter service but there are also booths and some metal silverware, etc. From watching others, it looks like you can kind of go either way but be sure to tip your servers if you leave your stuff on the table. *Only drawback was a sketchy young man skulking about the parking lot for a kind of long time, but that's no fault of the nice servers here, and we felt safe. Just lock your doors and have a great meal. Hopefully he's not there often. read more

We used the drive thru to pick up a late breakfast while traveling, and we the food filled us up and stayed with us for a long while. The location is right next to a gas station, so we got people food and "vehicle food" (gasoline) all in one convenient stop! Both of us ordered a large coffee, which gave us some energy. Hubby had the Mickey biscuit combo and I ordered the Mary B biscuit combo. We had a little bit of a wait at the window for the food, and it appeared the hot and crunchy "tater rounds" (and probably everything else!) were freshly cooked. The biscuits are huge and delicious, and the only complaint is that the egg on my Mary B had a lot of cooked egg white hanging out of the biscuit, which looked and tasted less appetizing than if the egg had been scrambled first. I will definitely try something different the next time I find myself at a Tudor's Biscuit World. read more

Came upon this place after seeing the sign for it on the interstate. It's not often I see a place specializing in biscuits, and since we were hungry, we gave it a try. We ordered the chicken biscuit (not advertised on the website menu) and the shaved ham/melted cheese biscuit. Both were large portions, tasty, and very filling. We couldn't finish our biscuits nor the generous servings of crispy hash rounds that came with the combo meal. The biscuits tasted and looked homemade. Next time when passing through, I would like to try one of the biscuits filled with fruit. *This location is conveniently part of a gasoline station (don't let that discourage you from trying), but there's a creepy, disheveled young guy casing the outside which made us get gasoline somewhere else. read more

I love how when you get fast food they screw up your order and you discover this when you get down the interstate and they tell you to turn around and come back and show them. A true West Virginian establishment. Biscuit World is the truth, they offer biscuit sandwiches of all kind. Sausage egg and cheese, bacon egg and cheese, even a bologna biscuit each with their own different catchy name. The bologna with egg and cheese is named the Politician, you know, full of bologna. Everything on their menu is tasty and filling so loosen your belt going in. It's not just biscuits they offer sandwiches and full meals. One of my favorites is the grilled cheese and chili. Busy in the mornings and at lunch. The closing times vary, some until after dinner 7:00 pm and some at 2:00 just after lunch. The stores are clean and family friendly and some have holiday trees decorated for each season and holiday. read more

I ordered the chicken strip lunch with green beans and pinto beans. The chicken strips were dry and the green beans tasted funny. The pintos were good and the biscuit was buttery and very fluffy..pretty good actually. But the restaurant and bathroom was dated and dirty and the cashier had no personality. read more

Wow! This place was amazing. The biscuits were soft and fluffy on the inside, crispy and done on the outside. I had the fried apple biscuit, which was very good. My husband had a BLT which he also thoroughly enjoyed. The prices were great, the staff was friendly, and it was just what we needed to refuel on our road trip. Pretty good. I got the little tader meal. Great value at $3.99. Potatoes with scrambled eggs cheese bacon and a biscuit on the side. Huge meal. Biscuit was awesome but they give you margarine instead of butter. Potatoes were ok, scrambled eggs came on top but as a patty instead of looking like scrambled eggs. The cheese was a sauce instead of real cheese which really took away from the meal. I asked for the bacon on the side and they were very good about accommodating. I don't eat meat so it went to my kids and they loved it. My kids had the 3-pancake meal. They are 3 large thick pancakes and neither of mine could finish it. They give you an individual warm pot of syrup which is nice. My husband got the single biscuit and gravy for around $2.75. Again the biscuits are great and he said that 1 was enough for him. Over all the meal was good, but I don't like cheese sauce and the way they do their scrambled eggs. Service was good, clean enough but the restroom needs updating. read more

Oh they are big Fresh tender yummy biscuits; Fried Potatoes, Creamy sausage gravy. A couple days later we had Breakfast Biscuits- Country ham, egg, cheese. It's so big I couldn't fit in my mouth, had to take it apart. That's ok Enjoyed EVERY Bite, Friendly staff. Can't wait to visit WV again. =) read more
