we recently had an air conditioning issue! Heat index was 105 and the compressor stopped working in the middle of the night! Ugh! ok,so we called Tudi next morning at 6am. It was considered an "emergency " call. well, we are seniors and decided, ok, it's the July 4th holiday- we realize it's gonna cost us. Ok- the tec called at 7am. He was here by 8:15 am. His name was Josh. Great guy. Told us up front that this was going to cost more because it unfortunately happened on a holiday he was on call and-oh well-Anyway my purpose for this review is to give accolades to Josh! Great guy, great attitude! And it was blistering hot, not to mention he had many more calls to tend to after us! Thanks Josh! May call Tudi again for future needs. Hopefully not on a holiday- a little pricey. And yes the AC is working great! read more

Spring of '24, Tudi recommended a heat pump and installed it in our condo. When the temp is cooler or cold the fan NEVER shuts off. The room temp matches the thermostat but the fan continues to blow cold air. Tudi sent several different techs a half a dozen times to try to solve this. The last visit I was told "this is the way it is and need to live with it". That seems counterintuitive for a heat pump to blow cold air. I am taking bids to replace the heat pump with a standard electric furnace. Check out your options before dealing with Tudi or you too may have to live with it. read more

Tudi Mechanical and their plumber, Drew, are excellent. I recommend them 100%. I am the executor of my parents' estate. In order to sell their 78 year old house, the Township, and separately, the Water Authority, required a plumbing dye test, inspection, and verification of a Backflow device. I called several plumbers and Tudi was the only company that responded quickly and explained to me how the process would work. I scheduled the inspection with the Township, but because of a misunderstanding on my part I had to reschedule, and Tudi's office staff, and their plumber, Drew, walked me through that process. Everyone at Tudi was very helpful in getting this resolved. The day of the inspection was bitterly cold and the ground was snow covered. Drew arrived early, walked me through the process and showed me what would be inspected, including the Backflow Device, the gutters, and the drains. When the Township inspectors arrived, Drew worked with them to run the tests. What should have taken at most an hour took 3 hours given the age and condition of the house and its plumbing. Drew worked extremely hard to ensure the inspection was handled appropriately. Thanks to Drew, the inspectors were able to complete the inspection and the house passed. Drew submitted a thorough report and I was very pleased by his work. Unfortunately, the Water Authority refused to pass the house. Despite Drew's report, that included the presence of the Backflow Device, that Drew personally showed to me, the Water Authority insisted the Backflow device did not exist and they would not pass the house. In response to my call for help, Drew called me at 7:30 am, told me how to send the right pictures and description to the Water Authority and gave me his direct telephone number for them to call so that he could personally explain to them that the Backflow device did indeed exist, as he had explained in his report that the Water Authority had already been given. Thanks to Drew and his professionalism, the Water Authority quickly corrected their decision and passed the house. We were able to complete the sale of the house on time. My family and I are deeply grateful to Tudi and to Drew. They worked hard to make a difficult situation work for us. We would use them again in a heartbeat. read more

ZERO respect for other people's property. Used my yard as a dumping ground for parts and trash while working at the neighboring home. Felt free to walk wherever they wanted, tear up whatever bushes they wanted. NEVER asked for permission. Overheard them say - before beginning the dumping - "F**K this house". ZERO STARS. As an added bonus, they destroyed the grass in the area and now the mud is washing into my drain causing water to get into the basement. Come back and repair the damage you did! read more

Last year I had a system installed. It was expensive, but that's because it was the top of the line. I had to have two service calls since then. Nothing wrong with the system just a simple leak in the line. This is common in the beginning so nothing to worry about. But my review is in regards to customer service and quality of product. It is all excellent. Although my system is under warranty there is still a service call fee. However as a courtesy they waived the service fee for the visit because it was still very new. They were very friendly and quick to get things fixed. I really like TUDI and I feel confident about my system because they are a solid company. If you have the chance to afford it I highly recommend TUDI. read more

We have used TUDI Mechanical Systems since we bought our home several years ago, at the recommendation of our realtor. I must say that they have never let us down. We have enjoyed excellent service from them in HVAC, electrical and plumbing for several badly needed projects - several of them urgent / emergent. Most recently, our hot water heater just gave out, almost flooding the basement at 4:30pm. I called TUDI and the dispatcher said she would check with the on-call team. I had family visiting from Florida for the hurricane evaluation, and it was imperative that hot water be available. Well, I can happily say that when they checked with the on-call team and Dan C, Dan (who wasn't on call that night) offered to come over, knowing full well that I would likely need a new hot water heater. The on-call team, meanwhile went and picked up the appropriate replacement and came over to help Dan with removing the old unit and bringing the new unit into the home, saving (billable) time. Dan installed the unit quickly but beautifully, taking pride in his work and neatness of the installation and the job site, which was left cleaner and more organized than he had encountered it. I simply cannot say enough good things about Dan C, who has done several other projects for us. The home maintenance plan pays for itself with just 1-2 smaller or one large project, and we plan on keeping this up indefinitely. TUDI is not inexpensive, but you DEFINITELY get excellent value for the investment - high quality service that is not only done right the first time, it is done efficiently, professionally, and without cutting any corners whatsoever. Matt S. is a great new addition to the Tudi plumbing team and comes with years of experience. He repaired a leaky faucet in our bathtub that could have been a major repair but he figured out a more cost-efficient way to do the job without tearing down walls or breaking into the tile work. He also did an excellent job of installing a new kitchen sink faucet, sprayer and soap dispenser. He knows what he is doing and takes pride in his work. He is friendly, neat, and careful, and you can tell that he wants very much to make his customer happy. read more

Our system is 3.5 years old and it keeps braking down. We bought a top of the line system with variable motors and replaced the furnace and a/c and every single year when it's time to switch to cooling or heating the system won't work at all. 14k spent on a system that is constantly breaking down. Abs when I called this weekend to get emergency service because my child is sick and can't sleep from the heat some d-ck named Josh let me know they're only helping customers who pay for some special plan and we can't sign up for their special plan until Monday. So they have times available to help but won't. And can I speak to a manager? No. Can I speak to someone else? No. Call back on Monday. read more

I did not go with the heating because the representative was demeaning and had an overall poor attitude toward me. Our rental property in Pittsburgh - Beechview neighborhood - had the furnace go out the night before and being we live in Wisconsin we contacted Costco to see who they have an arrangement with for a new furnace. We'd used that process in Wisc for our primary home and were very happy with the whole deal. Tudi is the company. I called them and literally within 30 min they were ready to send someone out to give an estimate. I got the estimate within several hours from beginning to end - Heather and Rich made a good team. The 3 different prices with the rebates were appreciated. Heather even called Costco to determine they would make an exception for certain paperwork that required original signatures to do the deal with costco. Ultimately we didn't go with Tudi - mostly because we needed to get a new furnace in ASAP (the renters have kids) and it was going to be a week for them to get us on the schedule. But if you don't have an emergency then I think we would have gone with them. read more

Had Patton Electric upgrade the electric at a new rental property including adding some baseboard heaters in May 2021. Initially we were pleased with the work and the professionalism but recently learned from our tenants that the baseboard heaters were not working and when we contacted Patton we were told that no work prior to the their recent merger with Tudi Mechanicals would be covered under a warranty even though their merger announcement stresses a seamless transition and continued focus on quality work and customer satisfaction. I have left Nick Patton a message twice sharing my concerns but have had no follow-up. This was a $10,000 plus job and very disappointing that their new company is off to such a poor start. Definitely will not be using them on future jobs and would not recommend them. read more

Twice now, I've encountered their vans being driven on Rt51 and the West End Bridge with no regard for the safety of others on the road, speeding and weaving in an out of traffic and nearly hitting other vehicles. An email to them about this reckless behavior was ignored. I have no interest in using them again if these are the sorts of employees they hire. read more

I manage 100 residential property units mostly for private investors who choose their own heating and air-conditioning companies they want to use. Had the misfortune of needing the services of this company because the owner of this property chose them to install brand new heating and air-conditioning systems to a duplex costing well over $20,000 in total. Made an appointment to have the air-conditioning systems checked trying to keep good maintenance of the systems service man comes checks one system takes less than five minutes I ask him if he's going to check the other he said no .I said well the two systems here why would you only check one ,he said no one mentioned two systems and walked away and got in his truck. They have cute commercials and well thought out jingles ,perhaps they should spend more time training their employees on good customer service, there's a four letter word for the gentleman that serviced my unit today that word is jerk. read more

Tudi installed my central air conditioning system 13 years ago and I have always used them for annual service check ups and repairs. Their service is the best! The office secretary is most competent, efficient and polite. She does her best to accommodate my requests in scheduling for appointment times and service technicians. She even adjusts their schedule if I need someone to come ASAP. The technician that has come the past three years is knowledgeable about my ac system, effectively diagnoses what needs to be done, tells me what it is going to cost, is neat and cleans up after his work is done, polite, and explains what he has done. He provides information on changes coming to the air conditioning industry in the future ie elimination of current coolant being used and what I need to anticipate doing because of this. Tudi I called for emergency services my basement was filled with sewage - they came last Saturday 10/27/18. Upon arrival they reviewed issue without resolve - telling me my pipe was collapsed. Digging my yard would be required to fix supposed collapsed pipe. the technician did not have appropriate equipment. I had standing water in my basement, so was placed on emergency list for repairs for Monday morning, 10/29. A repair person did not contact me until 11 a.m. Monday then told me they would get back to me. He did not contact me until WEDS at 1 pm. I had no use of my water. I called another plumber/sewer service who fixed this in less than an hour. I incurred expense of an air b and b... I had children in the house - and was very upset at the lack of concern and response from TUDI. read more

I am a established customer as is my mother in law. During the recent extreme cold weather my mother in law had a frozen pope in a toilet. I emailed Tudi at 9:00 P.M. And the next morning they contacted me to arrange for service that day. They arrived as scheduled and fixed the problem in 20 minutes. I do not believe that most other plumbers would gave been as attentive or prompt and am very pleased with their level of service to established customers. read more

If you are a looking for a job, avoid this company at all costs! I responded to an advertised position and was notified that I was scheduled for a phone interview. My phone interview consisted of being told not to 'waste my time' because the position had already been filled. I was not even extended the courtesy or professionalism of a conversation about my qualifications. The hiring person even bragged 'This never happens this fast' as if they were proud of the situation. If they treat prospective employees with such a lack of basic business ethics, I can only imagine what it would be like to work there. read more
