An 8' piece of (very accessible) pipe would need to be replaced with estimate of $2500!!! I asked how they could justify that price - they said, "we're not as expensive as some companies." I said how much do you get an hour? $400/hour! AND $450 for 8' pipe. We said, no way!" Had job done with new pipe - and inspected by gas company - for $800. Buyer beware of these guys. They also offered to replace our "stack pipe" - drain pipe from upstairs fixtures - for $14K! Why? Because of a leak at the bottom of the stack in the basement. To be fair, though outrageously expensive, they have done decent work for us in the past.

He ran all new plumbing, everything looks clean and beautifully done, and the entire process was smooth and efficient. On top of all that, the pricing was very affordable. Highly recommend Mr. Waterheater to anyone who wants professional, reliable, and top-quality work!

I understand companies have labor, overhead, and service costs, but based on my experience, the quote felt significantly higher than what I believed was reasonable for this repair.
