Sadly, I just had one of the worst experiences buying a car at this dealership. It wasn't my worst, but it was up there. I bought a Subaru Outback here in 2021 and had a wonderful experience. This time...not-so-much. And I'm never going back. When I need to trade in my Subaru within the next 12 months, I'll be driving to Phoenix from Tucson. For the record, my sales person, Debbie, was fantastic! Loved her. She was personable, asked good questions, and got to know me and my needs for a vehicle. I've been buying cars for 30 years. Debbie was fantastic. The manager is the one who blew the deal up like an atomic bomb. We couldn't come to make the numbers right (which happens and that is what negotiations are for), but it was all about him and "how he does business at Tucson Subaru". After a phone call to him, he still never understood how to treat a human like a human. Even to the point of cussing at me when he hung up the phone. Incredibly mature of him. I wanted to edit my review and just give a special shout out to my salesman CJ over an Internet sales. He did an amazing job on selling the vehicle unfortunately I wasn't in a position to purchase like I thought I was prior to going there, but if I were ready to purchase, I would definitely purchase it from him and definitely go with a Subaru for the way that it drives and handles. I also forgot to mention that the vehicles now are so comfortable. Just unfortunate that when I showed up the first time there was no one able to help me originally, but CJ definitely made up for it for the most part (hence minus a star). My transmission was leaking again after they "fixed" it. Jessie is my service advisor and is awesome. I'm just worried that the service technicians aren't up to code on training/ knowledge since the main manager of the service department had to fix my transmission leak the 2nd time. I have spent over $2000 over the last 2 months. I hope they will hire better technicians. read more

Wish I could give Tucson Subaru zero stars because our experience is definitely below a one star rating! We are looking for a new to us used car. Used a military car buying service to narrow our search. Found one at Tucson Subaru and went onto their website to compare it to the car buying service. They have a eprice button to click that is supposed to give you a special, lower price for internet customers. It actually is an information gathering tool to get your name and phone number. We asked to only be notified by email but the salesperson continually texted. The price she sent back was identical to their list price on the website ($11,500.00.) We asked for the out the door cash price and were quoted $13,580.33 after they added in the Government Fee ($183), Proc/Doc Fee ($599), Theft Shield ($274) and Total Taxes (1024.33). An increase of $2080.33. We asked if any of these fees were negotiable and were told no. Asked about veteran's discount and were again told no. Yesterday she emailed us that the price dropped $500.00 to $11,000.00 and we asked for a new total cash price. It came back as $13,355.83. A decrease of $224.50. However in this quote, she said the Government Fee was $502.00. An increase of $319.00. The Proc/Doc Fee and Theft Shield stayed the same and Total Taxes went from $1024.33 to $980.83. A decrease of $43.50. Not sure we want to buy a car from a business that says they have dropped the price $500.00 but in reality only dropped it $224.50 because they increased the Government Fee $319.00. read more

Bought a 2018 Jeep Renegade last August of 2025, and I already sold it to Carvana just to get rid of it or I would be losing a lot of money every year just for it to run. Needs new engine mounts bout every 2-3 years which is about $950 and it kicks up at random times. They will ignore your call as an old lady with white long hair completely ignored our calls before we made the 2 he drive, luckily Daniel sold to us but was way to good to be true plus if you contact them they wont respond. I bought a new Premium Outback Limited XT from Tucson Subaru in July of 2024. The sales process was very good and the people were very competent. Once I walked out the door and took possession of my vehicle that is where the good service ended. The first thing they did was apply the cheapest window tint available at a ridiculous sticker price before I bought the car. I had to have it all removed and had premium heat reflecting ceramic tint installed. This is Arizona and you need good window tint not cheap junk. For the last year and a half I have had nothing but trouble with car repairs and their service department. Every time I get something supposedly fixed I have to have it back 2 or 3 times to have it re fixed again. You'd think the Service Writer Brittany would check to see if the work was done correctly before turning it over as done to the customer. First I had wind noise in the cab and had it back at least 3 times for that. Finally they simply said oh that's the way the car is supposed to be. Why didn't they tell me that after the first time? Then the roof rack gasket was pulling away from the body and the entire rack had to be replace which meant removing the interior headliner. So they fixed the roof rack which took a week and then I had to return 3 or 4 more times to refix the interior trim they reinstalled incorrectly in various spots. Then one day the cover over the front window roof pillar simply falls off. It took 3 trips to get that fixed correctly as it fell off again after the first repair. It was broken and the tech simply kept trying to reinstall a broken cover. Finally they got a new one the last time. The last and perhaps most aggravating incident was the finish on my new gray leather seats was chipping off. Once again back to the dealer. They ordered a new leather seat back cover and I had to return again. While installing the new cover the technician broke the zipper on the replacement cover and had to reorder another one. Yet another trip back to have it installed when it arrived. They never called me to tell me the ordered part was in until I called. After the seat repair I later noticed that the right sight plastic panel that holds the seat controls simply fell off. Once again another return trip to fix it. I get it home and after a short time I noticed the panel fell off again after just being repaired.. Another return trip. After all these miscues and being disgusted with the Service Advisor Brittany I got a new advisor. His name was Jesse and he was fantastic. His attention to detail and customer service was exemplary. Finally had someone who knew what they were doing. After the last seat repair upon inspection I noticed the terrible work done on the lower seat back. Nothing fit right and was pulling apart so Jesse got the Service manager out and agreed that work was shoddy. So they agreed to order 2 new plastic seat parts to make it right. A couple days ago I returned yet again and had them install the parts. Finally after dealing with Jesse the seat appears to be fixed correctly. It only took 4 or 5 visits to get the work done right and each time lost an entire day and had to get a loaner. Once again nobody called me to say the ordered parts were in until I called 2 weeks later. This is my first and last Subaru. The total incompetence of the Service Techs at this dealership is mind boggling. The lack of professionalism and the failure to check the repairs by management before they return a vehicle as done is unacceptable. I am sure Scott Gregg will follow this review with another comment about how this does not match up to their standards and how they are sorry for my inconvenience. I can only say it's all BS and save your breath. I even emailed him about the last needed seat repair and no response. This is a systemic failure in the service department from top to bottom and nothing ever changes. I am going to sell my first and last Subaru and get a new Honda. I am done with Subaru and their incompetent service department. read more

Why are-the sales managers so smug with pricing? $200 off isn't crap. Suggestion. Be a smart, informed consumer... Take a road trip up to Phoenix or even out of state and pick up a nice new Sub for way less than here! Final "sales price" never includes any other items like... special coating, extended warranty...tires... scheduled maintenance... be ready. We recently bought a used Subaru form Peoria Subaru. We brought it into Tucson Subaru and paid for a used vehicle inspection. We discovered there was a gasket leak, torn bushings, and AC issues( leak and new condenser needed). We called Peoria who advised thre was no leaks and Tucson Subaru shouldn't have authorized those repairs. Tucson Subaru attmepted to call Peoria Subaru and help solve the issue. They also discovered in a video from Peoria there was an active leak that Peoria didn't report. Tucson Subaru refunded us a portion of the overall check, even though they didnt have too! Peoria Subaru hid behind the law and did us dirty. Tucson Subaru fixed our vehicle and helped us solve the problem. They will forever get my business. I appreciate the fact they stood behind thier employees and the active leak that they demonstrated existed and still understood and valued thier customers. I've dealt with this Dealership on several occasions and have found it wanting each time. First time was shopping for a used car and not being able to make a deal at a reasonable price on an overpriced vehicle until I drove off another dealers lot with a Subaru and received a call from this dealer agreeing to the offer from five days previous. Write it off as that's just what happens. Second time was shopping for a new car several years later, finding the one I wanted and agreeing on the list price and then finding out that they wouldn't include tint, and getting an email in all CAPS from the sales manager. Emailed Chandler Superstore and got same car with tint for a lower price. Very simple and professional. Since then have purchased three more from out of town dealers and recommended others to do the same, which they had. Having two new cars I've used Tucson Subaru on three different occasions for routine maintenance. First time wife took hers in and the advisor made a show of guaranteeing that the work would be well done and then when picking it up telling her everything looked good and the all the fluids had been checked. Next day driving down the road warning light for lower washer fluid comes on. Checked and added a jug. Went back and had an in person conversation with the service manager who had the car rechecked to ensure work had actually been done. Second time took mine in and they gave me the same we've checked everything it looks good, drove off the lot and it started raining on the way home so I hit the wipers and the blade was half torn. Last time I took mine in for 30k was last week. I picked it up and drove off and part way home noticed that the reminder sticker showed that next service would be 1/5/2025 and 674 miles. Checked the digital screen and it said the same thing. Returned to the dealer and got some goofy explanation from someone who wasn't the adviser and who couldn't properly complete the update on the screen but did accomplish giving me a new sticker. Did the digital update myself in five minutes at home. Not really sure what the problem is with their phone system either. Called five times in 30 min trying to reach service between 4-4:30 and no answer and no voice mail. These are obviously not issues with the advisor or line employees but rather a systemic issue at the dealership coming down through ownership and upper management. read more
