Recently visited this dealership because I received a mail lottery ticket, and it stated I won a prize. When I went to the dealership, they tried using my confirmation code to match the number on the board and said I didn't win and said they also ran out of earbuds to give to people who didn't win. I stated that the serial number determines the prize awarded, but they disagreed, even though it says it on the ad. When I was getting ready to leave, another employee talked to me and confirmed that it is the serial number you need to compare to the board, so no one at this place has the same information theyre sharing to people. Regardless, I made sure to compare the serial number to the board and didn't see a match either for some reason. My question is, What is the point of having the lottery card game and saying you need to match the symbols if it doesn't mean that you're going to win anything? That's false advertising. Additionally, I also called the "winners call" number (since I thought I won something since I had a match across on the lottery ticket) and entered in my confirmation code, and the line confirmed that I won a prize and it's been reserved, but why even have that number and make the person go through all these steps if the dealership says you lose anyway? Your ad is incredibly misleading and if you made tickets for everyone to "win" just so that they could come down to your dealership for a prize that doesn't exist, then that is super lame. If this is how your business operates, I can't imagine what sketchy "promotions" you'll lie to people about in order for them to buy a car. TLDR; business sent out lottery tickets and I got all 6 in a row; called the line and it confirmed I won a prize, went to dealership and they gave me incorrect information and also told me I didn't win anything and they ran out of consolation earbuds. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. This place caused both me and my boyfriend nothing but stress and issues from the start. My boyfriend and I went and looked at a car there about a week ago and at the time the car seemed fine. We decided to discuss financing options and confirmed some issues that we asked to be taken care of on the spot before we would take the car. After we purchased and got the car we noticed that none of the issues were actually addressed (except the easiest one to fix which was to remove something that was drawn on the car with a marker). Every other issue was ignored. They didn't detail or clean the car, there was no inspection done, the wipers were completely shot and not working, the brakes were making odd noises, and the transmission was slipping a gear every so often. None of that was taken care of. We called to have them inspect it and they said they couldn't really do anything to help. Uh really? What happened to the so-called warranty we just purchased?? We were also rushed through the buying process. There was no walk through of the paperwork we signed. And then no follow through on the issues the car definitely had going on. Eventually we also learned that they charged us an extra almost $5k in other fees that were never explained and those fees made the total purchase price of the car way over KBB value. These people are very shady and do not stand by the vehicles they sell. They just sell you a clunker and then do nothing to help when it starts to have issues. You're on your own. They delete google reviews! Tells you something about their honesty. My review mysteriously disappeared so I'm writing the same thing here as a recent customer. Regarding financing, I financed with Mountain America Credit Union for a 5.24% rate on a used Toyota. As I was discussing the rate with the finance person/manager while reviewing the sale documents, he told me verbatim that auto pay would reduce the rate to 4.99% and that we can set it up now or I can do it with the bank directly after we finalize and sign all of the documents. I said okay great, I'll just take care of setting up auto pay for the reduced rate with the bank later. I sign all of the documents. I find out from the credit union that the reduced rate requires that it be set up at the time of the vehicle purchase with the dealership finance person directly. It cannot be done afterwards. Auto pay is still possible, but the reduced rate cannot be applied. I explained to credit union l that Cactus Auto was totally wrong about this, and they told me that they are well aware of Cactus Auto and that they do not always make it clear to the buyer that for the reduced rate, auto pay needs to be set up immediately. IF YOURE INTERESTED IN THE WHITE 2015 SUBARU BRZ Limited, read this IMMEDIATELY! I was interested in this car despite it being over priced (without a trade in vehicle it's almost $17k....and that's just the retail....without the lo Jack and dealer fees) I ended up getting a better deal on the same car in better condition (like $4.5k less then what they are asking here). this car is a RUST BELT CAR. It spent most of its life in Illinois/Indiana.....harsh winters and road salt and after investigating it looks like it wasn't well protected from the road salt. For a minute they didn't have pictures up on cactus auto of the vehicle, so after researching the VIN I found some auction photos from 20k miles ago. Let's just say those pictures opened my eyes to a lot of things about this vehicle that could be problematic if not addressed immediately The new pictures on cactus auto look "better" but The engine bay scared me away from purchasing this vehicle from cactus. When you go to look at this car, pop open the hood, don't be distracted by the tacky red painted components and look at everything that is metal. look at bolts holding the serpentine pulleys system. Look at the metal tube holding the dipstick. One thing I can see just from pictures is that The bolts are all still corroded. Even still in the "clean engine bay" photos, they have not been replaced. Replacing these corroded/rusted bolts is going to be a mechanics nightmare, if they snap while replacing pulleys, it's a serious problem for the mechanic. You see if this corrosion or rust has already started to make its way into the crankshaft, this vehicle is going to need to have its motor rebuilt in less than a year. Say the bolt on the harmonic damper randomly snaps...you're looking at Component Separation. In extreme cases, a failed bolt can allow the entire harmonic balancer to fall off while driving. This immediately stops the alternator, water pump, and power steering, often leading to rapid engine overheating. If you're interested in this car, and you're okay with the overpriced sticker on this vehicle, have cactus auto replace every corroded component in the engine bay. If they have integrity, they will do it. I think then they could possibly list it for almost $17k and it be a fair price after the corrosion is addressed. Also look at the frame, if rust is present visually without looking hard, there is forsure rust hidden deep within this cars structure. The 3 stars are only for Heather and her transparency that the vehicle was still in transit when I was inquiring about it and wanted pictures. She was professional. Hopefully they fix this and don't try to sell this potential Corroded nightmare to an unsuspecting buyer. Was told that the car would go to the shop before being given to me, since there was a crack on the windshield. Picked the car up Monday, only for it to COMPLETELY NOT START on me Thursday. I was stranded and had to get a friend to pick me up. Not only that, they told us the bank didn't approve the original cost and wanted to increase it on us. But when I went to the place to give the car back, the man was saying that the company can actually cover the difference and just to sign the new contract. I've put 150,000 miles on that truck without any issue except a fuel pump just recently. I am constantly on their site checking inventory, I'm ready for a new truck. The price is always right. This is an update to my previous review. They have had my truck since Monday, & this afternoon (on Thursday) I called them to get a status update. I was told the parts arrived, & they would start breaking it down tomorrow. Now I am being told that they will know more on Monday!!! I have a rental car that I paid for. Now I am going to have to extend the rental even more???? This is completely unacceptable! When I spoke to someone in service on Wednesday, they said if they got the parts in soon enough on Thursday (today) they would have it ready by the end of Thursday. If they didn't get them in in the AM, then it would be Friday. So where the hell is Monday coming into this? Why was the broken parts not already removed so it would be ready to put the new parts in? Very disappointed in the service so far. Service department is supposed to talk to my sales associate about compensation for this, but I am not holding my breath at this point. I feel I would be remised if I didn't share my experience with auto sales company. All went well with sales staff and test drive, it wasn't until price negotiations that raised many red flags. PLEASE NOTE: Special price is with trade-in only (w/i 8 yrs and under 80,000 miles). 1. If you pay cash, they use black market price which is increasely higher than KBB. They wanted to charge pricing when car came into lot (01/25, over 90 days on lot) which was significantly more than the retail price on the car sticker. I was told that they need to stay in good standing with banks and I was not financing. Not sure what additional benefits they receive from banks when a buyer finances but it seems significant since it was clear that the Finance Manager DID NOT want my business. 2. The car was found on CarGurus, where the selking price, not "special price," was lower than the retail sticker price. However, they would not honor the price. 3. They stated they install a Low Jack in every car which will be an additional $948 or so that is not included in the pricing until you start negotiations. Interesting that you are not given the option and their will be a cost to remove. I feel that this is to their benefit, like repossessions, not necessarily a benefit to the buyer. In my opinion this car lot prefers to deal with high risk buyers. Please do your research. There is too many red flags on this Car Lot to give them your business. read more

Went in for the advertised price and when the break down was shown to me the "advertised price" was drastically different as advertised. I talked to them about the managers special and it's basically trade in a car or have money down which is typical but very disappointed when you can't negotiate the price. Went in for a truck as advertised as 23k but was told it was actually 26k so out the door prices quickly jumped to 30k which was very disappointing for a 6 year old truck with 90k miles. I was referred to Cactus from a friend. I contacted the same salesman that helped him. It was late Friday evening so we decided to meet Saturday morning at 10am. He doesn't show up! Great start right. Now I get another salesman Frank. He is helping someone else so he asked what I was looking for and pointed to the area in the lot where I can find what I am looking for. I find what I am looking for he gives me the keys slaps a plate on and says take it for a drive. I buy it, on my way home the stereo starts going off and on. I call Frank and explain what's happening. He says no problem probably a loose wire.. But we won't be able to get to it for a month. We set the appointment a month out and I bring it in. Service guy says couple of hours it be ready and that he would call me. After he finds out the stereo has to be replaced he tells Frank and Frank says no don't fix it and he would call me. So after 8 hours I call the service guy and he says Frank didn't call you? I will transfer you to him now.Frank don't answer, leave message. Call Frank next day no answer leave message did this 4 times. Him not returning any of my calls is the reason for this review. Over a 75$ radio. That should have just been taken care of. Ricardo allowed me to test drive several cars and listened to me while I stated my pros and cons to him. I finally found the car I was going to buy, a Jeep Grand Cherokee. When I purchased the Jeep I noticed there was an issue with the UCONNECT system and went to Ricardo about the issue. He worked really hard and pointed me in the right direction to fix the problem. Can't say enough about Cactus Auto! I'd give them 6 or 7 stars if that was possible. They are one of two Kelley Blue Book (KBB) dealers that come up here in Tucson, when you get a KBB quote online. They gave me exactly the price that KBB quoted me on my 13-year-old Toyota Corolla. It was a seamless, quick process, and I walked away with a check for my car, and they even provided me a ride home. Shout out to Zander who inspected my vehicle, and had a check cut for me in less than 30 minutes. Very impressed with how easy he made the process. No sitting in back rooms and back and forth checking with a mysterious "sales manager". And no ridiculous lowballing on what was offered by KBB. Also, Vanessa was the one who answers the phone and I met her briefly as well. She's high energy and seems to have terrific customer service skills. Also met Tommy when I first arrived. If I could give 0 stars I would. I ended up doing business with this dealership because I was contacted through Facebook due to their interest to buy my vehicle. I decided to head over the same day I was contacted (Sep, 12th) but beforehand I was running an errand. I was originally asking $8k and got talked down to $6,700 and a free ride home by an employee. I had a pair of Sony WH1000XM4 headphones which value to about $400 after tax, which I had with me while I was running my errand. I placed them in the center console because it was storming outside and one shouldn't drive with headphones on if that wasn't obvious. I have video proof of myself leaving with them and not returning home with them because they were in my car. Once I got to the dealership, I spoke to the Women I was messaging via Facebook and she would walk out every few minutes because she was playing messenger with whomever I was negotiating the price with. They had to go through my car to determine how much it was worth and they left me in the office while that took place. After we were set on a price, they took my keys, gave me my license plate and I didn't see my car after that, nor saw who went through it or even seen who I was negotiating with. They didn't ask if I had anything in the car, and of course didn't mention the $400 headphones inside the middle console. I do admit it was careless of me to leave the item in my car but the car was clean for a week beforehand with nothing in it until that day. Whoever went through my vehicle or moved it afterwards decided to take them. Not to mention half of their staff don't look a day over 25 and these are popular headphones on Social Media. I called, emailed, and even showed up in person but was avoided by the owner because he decided to let me know to come by conveniently right when he was leaving. He decided to make it right with a convenient brand new pair of Amazon earbuds that were left at the office which I decided not to take. I've asked to be reimbursed because the vehicle was in their possession when they disappeared therefore their responsibility. I asked if they could look at the cameras and of course they don't have cameras. The owner then decided to ask all the employees who were responsible handling my car and surprisingly no one seen a thing. Would it make sense for them to be truthful and come forward about stealing a pair of headphones from a customer and it not effect their job? I'm disappointed by the owners negligence and their inability to take responsibility over his employees action's, especially after doing business with a first time customer. I've been emailing the owner for the past two weeks and have been told to take it up with my car or homeowner insurance company. After having me come down $1,300 on the car and being an owner of a dealership it shouldn't be that inconvenient to reimburse me for the stolen item. The owner Xander has mentioned in his responses to low ratings on here, about keeping a great reputation and I wish that were true. Only if I read some of these reviews before doing business with them. I was looking for a VW Routan all over the country. They are inexpensive mini vans. Not a lit of them around under $8K. Everything I saw would be a rust bucket. So eventually I ended up seeing one and buying one in Arizona. Communication with Xander was good. Got my van shipped today. Everything he told me about the van was like it is and I feel like it was worth it to spend a little bit extra to get van from so far away. read more
