I have seven Solatubes for the house and garage. One of them leaked on one storm. I called, the owner came, relentlessly said these were out of warranty and asked me to pay more to fix the leaking issue. I objected, they smeared the roof with some stuff and left. The owner also claimed it was my roof that needed to be replaced instead of their work done on the Solatube. That's the only leak I have around the entire house! They showed up today, as scheduled, to clean my second story dryer vent. I warned them when I booked the appointment that it was attic/outdoor access so it's not the easiest job. The lady actually checked with George to see if they would do it and called me back to book. So he shows up and was not friendly at all. Proceeds to tell me turn on my dryer. I'm thinking, ok, you know best. He proceeds to snake the dryer while it on and BROKE the spinning fan in the dryer. My husband said - it worked before you were here and his only response was he didn't do repair work on dryers. As if he didn't JUST break it! My wife and I already have central air in our home but our attic gets pretty hot in the summertime. Initially I had just been interested in the attic fan to keep it cool with all of our stored heirlooms, but George talked me into the whole house fan. I thought it was unnecessary because we have central air but wow was I wrong. The house fan uses less energy and utilizes the fresh cool air outside to cool the house down. We use it every night. It has been a great investment and one that we continuously say how happy we are that we decided to purchase it. When George and his son came by to install the house fan, I was shown the solatubes and again I thought I was being talked into something but again I was wrong. They are fabulous! They add natural light in the areas that are so dim and are just perfect. Additionally, we just had a gas fireplace insert installed and we couldn't be happier with everything. All of the products have been amazing but I would be remiss if I did not mention their customer service, specifically Leslie. Leslie is awesome. She's on top of everything and keeps you up to date with the process of everything. She's so friendly and cares about the customer. Not too happy w/consequences that showed up after install of a solar roof light & attic fan,,,I told the guy to be careful on the "cat-walk" up in my attic,, few days ,later I discovered he broke thru the ceiling of my hallway & installer did not say a word until I had to complain about it,,,Later I discovered my roof shingles were very heavily "worn out" or depleted,,,where-ever he had been working/walking,,,dont know what type of shoes he had on?,,,,but NOT happy about the obvious wear & tear on my roof...& the Solar tube was originally not properly installed,,& for the first couple weeks,,my house was infested w/flies(live in the country...cattle nearby),,,so overall,,,they just wanted to whip out another quick install(seemed to be in a rush,,,& showed late in the afternoon),,,nice enough guy(s),,,but the consequences/damage to my house,,,was & is infuriating,,,,cannot recommend ... read more

Even though we haven't used our wood-burning fireplace often it had been a number of years since we had the chimney swept out. After reading numerous positive reviews on Yelp and on Nextdoor, I contacted Leslie to set up an appointment. She was very friendly but George was really booked initially but I'm glad I waited. He and Robert showed up yesterday and did an excellent job of cleaning out our dirty fireplace. I had wanted to convert it from wood to gas for some time and already had acquired some of the equipment needed to do so. George happened to have the rest of the equipment needed in his truck so I was able to tack on that project after the cleaning. He works REALLY fast and the price for the cleaning and gas conversion was very reasonable. They put tarps down and kept the area quite clean and vacuumed up every spec of ash before they left. Very friendly to deal with...but.... Whole house fan was barely cooling my house at all. Called back out to re assess and was told they would need to research and would get back to me. I heard nothing more... When I called out a contractor to look at the system and advise what to do...I was asked why the ducting was just left to lay on attic floor (creating a 90 degree angle over the fan) rather than suspended/elevated as per their website photos..??? Central coast gets chilly in the winter. Had a gas fireplace Insert installed last Nov2020. Looks beautiful - esp during the holidays...and works to heat the house well too. Very professional installation. Had an issue with the fireplace recently though - it wouldn't turn on. Tried to fix ourselves. Several YouTube videos later, we were able to turn it on again, but then it wouldn't turn off without shutting off the gas. This time called George. A $100 service call later (unit reset & cleaned) and the unit works fine again. read more

I was able to setup a chimney clean online. Customer service got back to me with date and time window. They were spot on with time window. They were very thorough with not only cleaning the inside of the pipe but all of the inside and outside of our wood burning stove. And NO DUST in house. They had a large vacuum that caught and filtered all of it. Nice. I'd definitely recommend them. Oh... and they installed a couple of tubes for us several years ago. No leaks ever. Dan got a kick out of my comment about the problem that we had after they first installed the tubes... We kept trying to turn off the hall light during the day time. But they weren't on! Our experience with this company was so upsetting that it has taken us over a year to write a review. George installed 3 tubes. A few days afterward it rained during the night. Our kitchen was completely flooded. It took several weeks and nearly $3,000 to replace the damaged ceiling and wood floor. We feel he was negligent and blasé about the situation.
