We first learned about Wise Choice through Yelp, and although we were initially nervous about choosing a contractor for such a large job (they gave us the best estimate, by far!) without a personal recommendation, we couldn't be happier with our decision. They were great to work with throughout the entire process, from architectural and engineering plans, permitting, and the actual construction. The project manager, Sergiy, and foreman, Bogdan, were very honest, helpful, and responsive every step of the way. The project was completed pretty much on budget (with only a couple of unforeseen issues outside of their control) and on time. While that was an unwelcome surprise, I felt extremely fortunate that Corneliu was the one who discovered and ultimately fixed the problem. This issue was neglected by another contractor who had done siding work previously for me. Corneliu fixed everything the RIGHT WAY at a very fair price and worked as late as 7:30pm, long after the sun had gone down, to ensure everything was done before the next storm rolled in. We wanted a door installed in the interior of our home. Cornel arrived, measured the space, explained the different styles, asking what we'd like. Then he went to the hardware store himself, took photos of all of the options that fit our criteria, and texted us the options so we could choose, saving me time from having to go to the store myself. He also went above and beyond by offering to fix the opposite side of the door frame, which was ugly before the project started. We didn't even think it was an option to fix that. Cornel installed the door, painted it, and fixed the trim on both sides, on the same day. The final result is absolutely perfect. It's beautiful, and the quality is stellar. We will certainly be using Smart Construction again in the future for home projects that we can't do ourselves.

So when it came time to remodel our downstairs bathroom, we didn't hesitate to call him again. From the start, the demolition was done with incredible care and attention to detail. Dmitriy and his team then built a walk-in shower completely from scratch -- we didn't even use a pre-made one! Their precision and craftsmanship are truly amazing. They worked hard, starting early every morning and continuing through the late afternoon -- non-stop. They kept everything clean and organized each day, never leaving a mess, and were mindful not to block walkways. Everything was completed right on schedule. I also really appreciate how Dmitriy communicates. He responds to questions quickly and clearly, which makes the whole process smooth and stress-free. Wow! I'm amazed that Cedar River construction doesn't have more reviews on Yelp. We contacted eight…read moredifferent contractors to just get a fence quote and only a handful of them actually got back to us. One even gave us a quote and when I called to book the job, they never called back. We found Steve's website online and he called us back within a day, was out to do the quote with in a few days after that and started the job within about a week! He was prompt, professional and not afraid of technology (I.e he knew how to respond via email--which was great because then we didn't play phone tag.) He used quality lumber from a local company, got the job done on time and delivered high quality work. His quote was just a bit less than other quotes (yea!), but generally all the quotes we got were in the same ballpark. So it was really his promptness, communication and professionalism that sold us. The site was clean and orderly after they left and we came home to a beautiful cedar fence. I especially like the gate design. If we ever re-do our deck or extend the fence line, Cedar River will be our first call. I'd recommend Steve's work to anyone!

Our water heater flooded our master bathroom and our master bedroom as well as a small part in our…read moregarage. We found Luis Casillas Construction company on line after our insurance told us they could not recommend anyone because they had not contracts with anyone in our area. It was lucky for us that it happened that way. Luis came in and took a look at the areas and said he was unable to do the work until we had another water mitigation company come out and make sure things were done properly, because from he could tell it had not. We called south sound water recovery to give a second opinion and found that the first company that the insurance had sent did not dry our home as it should had been done in the first place. That led to another two weeks of demolition and drying in our home. Once that was completed Luis came back in and was super helpful. I trusted him because he was right about the first company and really had our interest at heart. He was always communicating with us and making sure that we knew every step of the way what was going on and the plan. If product we ordered came in and had any issues he was sure to share that information immediately. He was extremely busy but was able to get us on his schedule and he worked night and day between us and other jobs he had on his schedule. He still always did a quality job on everything. We appreciate his quality work and his professional manners! In this day and culture were company's are going more toward that the customer is not right, Luis is still a respectful and caring to the value of money and the work that he performs. He was in awe of their work. Everything was done to perfection. We had over 6 bids for bathrooms ( total redo) and their prices were amazing for the work they did! They listened to our concerns, came up with a plan. We could not be happier! Besides bathrooms, we were going to have them do our flooring- carpet to LV. Third floor condo - we ordered all, they bought everything up three flights of steps ( 950 square feet) - after carpet was up they noted flooring was off, and LV was not an option unless floor floated. We opted for carpet. They hauled all of the LV back down three flights. Zero complaints. Happy to do whatever was in our best interest! When we thanked them for their great work throughout, their response was always " we thank you. We are grateful for the work!"
