They were able to match the old arches of our 1927 to bring the character into our modern kitchen that we love about our house. They were extremely communicative about any changes, challenges, or delays. We even went on a long vacation during the project and we felt completely at ease knowing they were progressing on the kitchen while we were away. We recently brought Sadie, Medardo, and Gerardo back in for some plumbing, drywall, and electrical upgrades that became a bit of an upstairs project. This company is pure evil…read more I prepaid $75,000 toward an approximately $85,000 project, and these photos show the condition of the cabinetry on the day I was told in writing that Finished by Korzo had "delivered everything within our scope of work" and had no need to return to my job site. Yet the cabinetry was plainly not complete. I could not install my double oven into the cabinet as it had been left. I could not install my pull-out microwave. My laundry room wall cabinets were installed without top panels, leaving the interiors open to the drywall/ceiling above. These are not minor cosmetic punch-list items. These are cabinet areas that were still unfinished or unusable when the company declared the job complete and demanded the remaining balance. There are many other things I could write about my experience, but I want this review to focus on one simple fact: they declared the cabinetry complete when major cabinet areas were still unfinished and the appliances could not even be installed into the cabinets provided. I also think prospective customers should understand the relationship with Dominis Stone. Dominic works in sales/coordinating for Dominis Stone while also operating Finished by Korzo from inside the Dominis Stone location, where his cabinet displays and office are located. My own Finished by Korzo quote specifically states that countertops are purchased directly through Dominis Stone while Finished by Korzo coordinates the scheduling. That overlap matters when reading the Yelp reviews too. One of the two positive reviews appears to describe work Dominic handled through Dominis Stone, even though the review is posted under his own company. The actual work is done by Dominis Stone staff which are great. I originally went to Dominis Stone because I had used them in the past and trusted their reputation. I did not initially understand that I was dealing with a separate company. Had I researched Finished by Korzo independently before moving forward, I would have made a very different decision. Look at the photos and decide for yourself whether this looks like completed cabinetry. Additional Billing Discrepancy (one of many) Dominic told me the self-leveling material would be charged at $100 per bag. He later confirmed to me in writing: "13 extra out of 75, we poured 62 bags total." Despite confirming that only 62 bags were poured, Korzo's final invoice charged me for 75 bags at $100 each, totaling $7,500. The invoice itself describes the 75 bags as an "estimated" quantity. Invoice_97_from_Finished_by_Korzo.pdf Based on Dominic's own written statement, 62 bags were actually used, which would equal $6,200 at the stated $100-per-bag rate -- a $1,300 difference before tax. We worked with J&M on a bathroom remodel. Bathroom is 5x6 feet and quote was for 6 weeks work and…read more50k. We ended project at 18 weeks and 60k. During our project, the sub-contractors damaged the wall while installing our toilet by drilling through the wall and failing to hook up the toilet correctly so that water was pouring straight into our basement. The sub-contractor did pay for these damages. We had no supply chain issues with our project as we had purchased all the materials ourselves before hand. Our primary issues with working with J&M was that due to the amount of projects they had going on, it felt that unless we were actively saying we were unhappy with progress and calling J&M frequently, there would only be work at our home 1 or 2 days a week. When asking for estimates for components J&M were unable to provide accurate estimates. For example, it was estimated that tiling our shower would take 1 week with 2 people due to the complex design. It ended up taking 3 weeks. This is our only bathroom, so we lived with my parents for several weeks, but I would hesitate to recommend J&M to anyone who doesn't have a flexible timeline. In addition, J&M failed to notify of us of change orders that resulted in an increase of price. These were supposed to be agreed upon mutually before the work was completed, but instead J&M released them after the work was done and were forced to eat the cost. J&M did not provide any options to mitigate this cost even though this was in direct breach of our contract. Ultimately, we are reasonably happy with the final outcome of our bathroom, but extremely unhappy with path to get there. We ended up not asking for several fixes as we were so fed up with the inaccurate timelines and constantly changing estimates. Fixes include 1) bleeding paint on ceiling, 2) missed paint spot, 3) grout on window and tile, 4) miss-cut vanity counter-top, and 5) dip in floor tiling causing one spot to not drain. All in all, J&M has good general contractors, but seem extremely mismanaged in the back of office. If you do work with them, double check all billing multiple times as we found several inaccuracies. Hold J&M to prices and push back on change order process.

Drywalling a round home is a huge challenge. They did an amazing job and it looks fantastic. They are now installing a Murphy bed and a new bathroom vanity. He came to our home on time and did a thorough walk around our home and gave us a detailed bid. For reference we had most of our siding replaced, and the entire outside of our home painted, including front door, gutters, along with some other repairs. I found Jose and crew, to be professional at every turn, I liked that he had a detailed contract and several options for payments. His price was fair after receiving another bid. It is a lot of trust having work done in and around your home, Jose met and exceeded my high expectaions of doing an excellent, and detailed job. He takes pride in his work. Communication was seamless throughout the project, that is important to me, he even answered the phone when I was calling him while at the paint store getting a sample to try a color out. I highly recommend trying colors out on your house before finalizing your choice. Jose is generous with his knowledge, he showed me how to take apart light fixtures in order to clean the glass and spray paint them, They look brand new and saved us $ He even shared his recommended spray paint with me.
