:) We arrived early and Brock's brother (can't remember his name- so sorry!) offered to give us a tour of the land.

The water at Two Rivers stays strikingly blue no matter which season you visit, so I think it's definitely one of the cleaner parks in the regions, when it comes to water quality. There also was no litter that I saw, so whoever is maintaining the park is doing a great job. Two Rivers has great walking trails around the lake, so it's a wonderful place to go get some exercise in a cool surrounding. It's also never been busy when I visited, so if you like a more tranquil walk, it could be a good option for you. They also offer camping, fishing, swimming, and other outdoor activities (probably more for in the summer season), as well as horse trails if you happen to have a horse! For boating, they only allow non powered boats, so keep that in mind if you're wanting to fish off your boat. While this isn't a huge park compared to a few others in the Omaha/Iowa area, it does offer a lot of activities and cool scenery for being a smaller park! Definitely worth a visit, even if it's a short one.

Horrible experience tubing today. We were told the river was low and the float might take longer…read more Little did we know that the float was 98% walking and maybe 2% floating. It was awful, one of our floaters tore ligaments in her knee and had to be rescued off the river by paramedics. There was never any mention of what to do in case of emergency. You are certainly on your own. The Nishnabotna is horrible terrain to walk through. I do not recommend tubing down the Nishnabotna at all, especially when water levels are low.

We have taken this trip for 6…read moreyears and every other year the owners have walked new people through how to best paddle the kayak. These owners try to put you in the worst and oldest equipment and send new kayakers off with out so much as a minute of coaching. Then when you are through, owner is there in a very sour mood to greet you. Not so much as a hello. Angry owner then emails you days later to complain that you didn't help him when he didn't ask for help. And accused us of losing a carry handle and plug. These items were probably missing from the start as one of the kayaks continuously sunk during the trip. Very unhappy people run this operation. Said they will be operating in the red. I dont know if he is holding a grudge from 2 years ago when a child lost a paddle during a trip (in which we paid him cash before we left). Beware. Be sure to check the old, cheap equipment for missing plugs and handles before you take off as well as Google your own training for maneuvering a kayak, if you are new. Dont count on having any fun, that is against owner's wishes.

Horrible products. Not the Ash Grove of my dad's day. I gained a lot of experience working with my…read moreDad, who has well over 50 years of concrete experience & I can tell you they have no quality control whatsoever & even less accountability. THEY ACTUALLY SUBCONTRACT QUALITY CONTROL OUT TO A STAFFING AGENCY! What does that tell you? - You can count on products not solidifying or curing correctly & removal is going to be VERY expensive. Compression strengths fail, adhesion fails, no durability and a complete lack of accountability. This crap will wreck your project & construction in record time. Don't learn the hard way. Ash grove / materials packaging will set your project back by months- AFTER you discover how bad the products are. Explain that to your pissed off customer. Even the president himself ((Stephen Boyland)) is a liar & dishonest con; and when it starts at the top, it goes all the way to the bottom. The Fremont plant is incompetent at the top & that really affects their products & employee performance. This is in large part due to mismanagement by an old uneducated 'left over' (Bob Iossi) who keeps his job due to cronyism (Boyland is his buttPal). Even the good employees there can't make the product to specs because of Boyland & Bill Iossi's 'mUCKagement'. Through Bob's absent minded, senile 'management' and his illiterate staff of high school drop outs (Like Christina Merchlewitz- glorified sUcretary, who can't even type a sentence with less than 3 spelling & 5 grammatical errors); screwing up orders and wreaking havoc on an employee base that outclasses them- this place is failing in every way. If you are a current customer and have received any written communication from them- you will know what I mean as you TRY to read it. They should be embarrassed, but I don't think they are even that smart. A very "Canned & Stale" environment and the products reflect that. The smart employees can't fix things because the inbred ones have Boyland's help in circumventing improvements. ("boy"land....just think about that name and what it probably indicates.....hmm..) Materials Packaging & Ash Grove's products are doomed to fail-Ash Grove, the parent company will eventually follow Materials Packaging, down the tubes.

Fun-Plex is the perfect size: big enough to keep both kids and adults entertained all day without feeling overwhelming. It's also surprisingly well kept and clean--none of the attractions felt run down or in disrepair. There's a great mix of water rides and non-water attractions, making it fun for all ages. I especially loved the lazy river and the water bumper cars, and there are dedicated areas that are perfect for little ones, too. I grew up in the Kansas City area and spent many summers at Worlds of Fun and Oceans of Fun. Fun-Plex honestly wins for me because of its more manageable size and overall cleanliness. One minor downside for me was the bar located in the middle of the park--it always seemed busy with parents drinking while kids played. That's not my personal preference, but to each their own. A few tips: wear sunscreen, bring snacks, and be prepared--food is on the expensive side (as expected for a park), but there are decent options. The ice cream portions are huge, which was a fun bonus. Overall, Fun-Plex exceeded my expectations and made for a fantastic day trip. Highly recommend for families looking for a full day of fun.

We had shade, a fan, seating, a chest for our things and a great view of the water park. With kids ranging in ages from 6-17 and many adults, we were thrilled to have so much to do. When I was a kid the real only toddler friendly water area was with the mushroom, and while sitting under the mushroom would heal me today, it was nice to have a new area with multiple slides and water features on the west side of the park. It was perfect for our 6 & 9 year olds. The drop slides and other slides kept the teens busy. The food options and the customer service were lacking at the chicken counter, but I did see other food stops with burgers and fries. We didnt get to the adult pool, but one day when I have a moms day out we will. As we headed out of the park the kids of course wanted to do a ride or two which are included in the steep $40 ticket. However, other local pools like the cottonwood are $75 a day, so this by comparison could be the alternative to that. Anyway overall, it was worth every penny we were there in the cabana from 11am-5:30pm! Love that they have kept this place up and kep tthe old staples and added new stuff.
