We live in Lincoln and won free tickets to Fun-Plex in Omaha--otherwise, I'm not sure we would have made the trip--but I'm so glad we did. We had the best time and will absolutely be back. Fun-Plex is the perfect size: big enough to keep both kids and adults entertained all day without feeling overwhelming. It's also surprisingly well kept and clean--none of the attractions felt run down or in disrepair. There's a great mix of water rides and non-water attractions, making it fun for all ages. I especially loved the lazy river and the water bumper cars, and there are dedicated areas that are perfect for little ones, too. I grew up in the Kansas City area and spent many summers at Worlds of Fun and Oceans of Fun. Fun-Plex honestly wins for me because of its more manageable size and overall cleanliness. One minor downside for me was the bar located in the middle of the park--it always seemed busy with parents drinking while kids played. That's not my personal preference, but to each their own. A few tips: wear sunscreen, bring snacks, and be prepared--food is on the expensive side (as expected for a park), but there are decent options. The ice cream portions are huge, which was a fun bonus. Overall, Fun-Plex exceeded my expectations and made for a fantastic day trip. My first time back at Fun Plex since 2015, and my how things have changed for the better! We came with a group of 12, and pro-tip, get the cabannas, We got two upper deck cabanas off the Lazzzy River, and it was 100% worth the cost (especially split multiple ways). We had shade, a fan, seating, a chest for our things and a great view of the water park. With kids ranging in ages from 6-17 and many adults, we were thrilled to have so much to do. When I was a kid the real only toddler friendly water area was with the mushroom, and while sitting under the mushroom would heal me today, it was nice to have a new area with multiple slides and water features on the west side of the park. It was perfect for our 6 & 9 year olds. The drop slides and other slides kept the teens busy. The food options and the customer service were lacking at the chicken counter, but I did see other food stops with burgers and fries. We didnt get to the adult pool, but one day when I have a moms day out we will. As we headed out of the park the kids of course wanted to do a ride or two which are included in the steep $40 ticket. However, other local pools like the cottonwood are $75 a day, so this by comparison could be the alternative to that. Anyway overall, it was worth every penny we were there in the cabana from 11am-5:30pm! Love that they have kept this place up and kep tthe old staples and added new stuff. read more

Hello everyone, I want to share my experience with this place. Specially, the bar section I came from California to Omaha With my Family for vacation and we decided to visit this place Honesty everything was wonderful, except bar section I was waiting for 10 minutes And it was a person Who I couldn't get his name, but I can describe him He was working on the bar with the ball head and beer and fat which unbelievable route and absolutely ridiculous attitude like I mentioned I was waiting there for 10 minutes. He completely ignored me. I don't know why, but I try to talk to the manager and they guide me to main line for complain, but main line was not operating in weekend. Hopefully manager or anybody who managing the bar can talk with that person and train him about the Customer Service and communication with the people will definitely help this business read more

Ok I haven't been to fun plex since I was a kid. Now I'm a mom of a five and two year old. It was a lot of fun. Kids loved to ride the rides and then enjoyed parts of the water park. It was great to have the option of rides and water. I would definitely take them back. For full disclosure my dad got tickets from his work Not sure if we would have gone otherwise but it think I would. $30+ per ticket so can get pricey fast but planning a nice long summer day I think it's great. Fun place my daughter loved the lazy river and the wave pool. They don't have just a traditional pool with diving boards but not everyone is looking for that anyway. I will say one thing I really appreciated...you pay just ONE price to get into the place and that includes both the water areas and the rides too. Great small amusement park in the heart of Omaha! There are plenty of activities for everyone. They have kiddy rides, a few more bigger kids rides, go carts, wave pool, water slides. Cabanas for rent are awesome! My favorite area is the adult swim up bar and pool area. Really nice to have some kid free areas to relax in. My 10 year old and I both have season passes this year. Lifeguards are young but we have had a pretty good experience so far. The disappointment comes with the costs of the cabana rentals and food service. We ordered food from the cabana today and the costs included a $4.99 service fee for delivery, fine we get it the cost for convenience BUT it is literally across the lazy river so a 2 minute walk. They also add $1 PER ITEM you order which is unbelievable! $120 for the cabana and $4.99 for service but the markup on the food as well. Ridiculous! read more

Speaking as an adult with no kids who just wanted a place to cool off this summer, I'd give Funplex a solid 3 stars. The cost of daily admission is $35 for an adult, which I think is too much. I know that the rides and amusement park are included in this, but I wish you could choose a lower-priced option for the pool only. With that being said, I got a season pass which paid for itself after a handful of visits (still a bit overpriced in my opinion.) I never eat or drink here because the concessions are pretty expensive too. Instead, I'll run out to the car and snack from my cooler (no outside food or drink allowed inside.) I do really enjoy the actual pool/ water attractions and think it has everything you could want. Lazy river, wave pool, slides, swim-up bar (adult-only area), and multiple children's sections. The water and attractions could definitely be a bit cleaner in my opinion. I've never had any issues with the staff. Overall, I go here because it's the closest pool to keep cool in the summer, not because it's my top choice. But I do usually enjoy myself despite the higher prices. read more

We had a great time here. We arrived at 11am (which I would advise if you don't love crowds). Enjoyed the rides, water slides, lazy river, wave pool, mini golf, and go carts. We went on opening day yesterday. So tell me how it's opening day and the lazzzzy river is closed? The whole reason I'm there. The staff at the snack bar were all teens who did not know what they were doing. Ordered a drink and had to ask for it as no one gave me one. It's a soda! Ordered a pretzel, asked about the cheese, and the girl says, "I don't think we have cheese". It's on your menu... like what? Another worker had to help her find the cheese in a box close to the floor. Some staff gave the free refills with the souvenir cup without a receipt and some needed it...Inconsistent. We went on a Thursday. 4-8pm. It's 10$ a person. Otherwise this place is hella expensive. Parking was tight and real full so get there early. We started on the side that has rides. My son is 8 so he wanted to ride the little roller coaster but he was an inch too tall. Too tall to ride most of them. So we went over to the ferry's wheel looking thing. It's nice and slow and relaxing. He got to ride the bumper cars and bumper boats. We decided to eat at the grill snack bar type place. Um. 6$ something for a plain nasty nasty, dry beef patty with NO condiments such as lettuce , tomatoes or pickles nothing. and only ketchup. Really? Wave pool was fun. Lifeguards are rude. I saw them yelling at people to get off the sides but no signs anywhere. Make your job easier put up signs. Lazy pool was nice. Although this park shows that it is multiple decades old when looking at the facade don't be alarmed. The rides, slides, pools and river are renewed. The price is fantastic considering what you get. The go karts and carnival rides are included in your entry fee. This place has a adults only pools are with a swim-up bar so we could unwind without all of the splashing and mayhem of little ones. I hadn't been to Fun Plex for something on the order of 10+ years, and while some things were the same (standing in line for the go-karts and breathing the exhaust still made me nauseous, steps for the slides are slightly rusty, and the roller coaster broke down while we were there), it ultimately ended up being way more fun that I remember. The initial reason for our visit was the water park - motion ocean, lazy river, water slides. For some reason they don't open until noon, and I'd recommend getting there right then, because after 3pm it was much more packed with lines for the slides, and no spare chairs to be found. Note for adults, there is alcohol available for purchase, but it comes at a premium. Speaking of which, you have to rent tubes for $5 each (though you get $2 back if you return it). Also, the lockers cost $0.75 - unless you know the special one(s) that are $0.50. You can bring in water bottles, thankfully, but no outside food or drink is allowed (we have a couple Gatorade's that had to go back out to the car). Oh and you can leave and return in the same day with a wristband. It's an atmosphere not really conducive to relaxation, what with the noise, crowd and kids everywhere. But ultimately it really hit the spot on a 90 degree day and there aren't a whole lot of alternative water parks around Omaha. For those reasons, we'll definitely make a return trip. read more

I wish someone from the organization would reach out to me on this, but until then I will not be coming back- I've been coming here for many years since I was 10 years old and always loved it, until recently. We went to the bar to order a mixed drink with coconut and strawberry flavor and they ended up double charging us. They did not tell us the cost of the drink before hand, they processed it and took our card and when it came time to sign we noticed the extra price. We only got 1 drink but was charged $25.00 for what was marked $8.99 on the menu, so it was actually more than double. We asked why it was so much and they said "our order is gross and we were weird for ordering strawberry and coconut together. It is not a flavor we normally do." We were upset for being called weird and our flavors being mocked so we did not tip. They also did not explain to us why they charged so much for the 1 about twelve oz. drink. We are the type of people who always tip, even if service is not the best, so it was quite an event to not tip for the first time ever. We have never been insulted randomly before, (other than highschool bullying.) I have tried to reach out and leave a review on their page about this and hope for them to get back to me, but instead, they deleted what I had to say, and blocked me from reacting and commenting any further. It is so hurtful to grow up and see a place you've loved for so long shut you out when a worker mocks you. I have come every year on a membership for many years now through my family and then eventually buying my own, but I do not feel comfortable spending my money on a place who do not address or even give an explanation on why I was charged so much after the upsetting comments from staff. I knew the behavior of 1 sour employee over 10 years does not reflect the entire staff of Fun plex, but it starts to seem like it when they try to cover up the situation and block me out instead of confronting the situation with me and reaching out. I hate leaving reviews like this and I hate the publicity and attention from having to leave a negative review and the anxiety that comes with speaking out, but this was such a horrible experience out of all the years I've been here, and when I tried to post about it, they blocked me out and made it so I couldn't message them on messenger anymore. I feel as if the bullying and lack of care continues from their entire team online now as well, by doing this and hiding what happened to me. We celebrated my son's 10th birthday there and everybody was so helpful and kind we rode the go-karts the most but really enjoyed water park side as well. They had many workers and everything ran very smoothly. Everyone rotates to different sections often so you get to see familiar faces, who really seem to enjoy their job! With travel still being a little restricted, we decided to get creative this year and get a cabana by the lazy river for my husband's birthday. It was very fun!, Most of the facilities are pretty clean, food is very good for a park and the drinks are tasty and strong. I was here when the young boy drowned. I will preface this by saying, i am trained in pediatric and adult CPR/AED/First aid. The lifeguards did all they could to revive the boy and they did not stop trying to resuscitate him like some people were saying. There is 4 life guards on duty in the wave pool and they're constantly whistle blowing the kids climbing on ladders and going against the rules. This makes it difficult for them to watch everyone. However, my 1 star rating is around the customer service. That day we spent 15 minutes at full price for them to shut the park down. We could only get a rain check. That's fine if the pool broke or a ride shutdown or the power went out. But for an incident like that, i'm not taking my child back there because i'll just be reminded of the boy and feel extra worried if my kid runs off alone. What fun is that. So I decided i'm not going back for a while and wanted a refund. They refused because it goes against policy. As a business owner, I get you have to protect your business but when serious events happen, that's what reserves are there for. So you can help the people and not take advantage of them. I'm not happy that I couldn't get my $240 back and also sad for those people who were affected by the incident and couldn't get there's back either. We're forced to go back so we can remember what happened and enjoy the park by worrying the whole time for our kids. read more

Fun Plex brings back a lot of great memories for me as I spent a good amount of time here in the summer with my best friend. I recently went back after a 15-year hiatus and had a great time. First, BUY THE GROUPON. You can purchase a groupon for $67 which includes admission for 4 adults (this would normally cost $100). We used this groupon for 2 adults and 2 kids and still came out ahead (if we didn't have the groupon our family cost would have been around $85). When I was a kid, we used to be able to purchase a swim only pass (with no access to rides) but now they only offer a park purchase, which includes ride and swim. Many of the original appeal exists - the lazy river, waterslides, wave pool, etc. They added a great area for kids aged 4-10 (in my opinion) that includes several waterslides (that I enjoyed going down), lots of spraying features and water bucket in a large jungle gym type area (think of something you might see at Great Wolf Lodge). I also enjoyed a couple of drinks at the swim up bar. The drinks were tropical, great tasting and surprisingly well priced. The park is clean and for the amount of traffic they see I think they do a great job of keeping up on garbage. the food leaves a bit to be desired, but I don't go to place like this expecting a great meal. Rides are mostly for young kids with the exception of the go-carts, bumper boats and the roller coaster, but our family had a great time. We were here for 7 hours and could have stayed longer. They do gouge you on the prices for renting a very small locker (think the small lockers you would spend $.50 on) - $10, but you get $5 back if you return the key. Tubes are also $5 each, but you get $2 back if you return them. This is definitely something we will make a habit of 1-2 times per summer. read more

I am disappointed with the decisions made by the family that runs Fun Plex in regard to their summer camps. They have not been very forthcoming with how they are running their camps - but are refusing refunds to those of us who have requested it. They have made revisions to their camps that are very cryptic. Fun Plex is the only summer camp that hasn't provided a refund - and we do several summer camps every year. I hope that Fun Plex has kept every commitment they made prior to Covid-19. If they haven't, they should think very hard about keeping money from working small families with health conditions, Grandparents that were sending out of town Grandkids, people with multiple children and healthcare workers. Fun Plex should do the right thing and refund those who have requested a refund - it is the right, ethical thing to do. read more

The adult swim was supposed to last till 11pm. It got shut down by 10:30. The only other water choice, besides the pool bar, was the lazy river. My friends and I were not allowed to use it, because they closed it down at 9:45. Paid for tickets to just get in. Thankfully, I'm a faithful Yelp user, so my expectations were set appropriately before going to Fun Plex. It is what it is- an aging amusement park, but the single-best option of its kind in Omaha. The rides are old and many of them look like they belong at a pop-up carnival but the (young) kids love them and the lines are pretty short. The 'water park' is small but has all of the essentials- lazy river, wave pool, kiddie pool and waterslides. On the day we went there was a HUGE corporate event so the place was absolutely packed. Lines for the rides remained short (probably due to the extreme heat) but the water park side was packed. We paid about $20 per person for an unlimited all-day pass (had a $6 off coupon from Val-Pak.com) and stayed for 4 hours. If the waterpark hadn't been so crowded we probably could have stayed another hour or so. Overall, you'll have a great time if you go with an open mind and ready to have fun. If you're expecting something that rivals major water/theme parks you'll be sorely disappointed. read more

We have been coming here the last few summers with the family and for the price of the season pass it's not awful. It has a bit of something for everyone from my older kids to my infant. The slides seem to been improving and the toddler area is good. The ride always seem a bit rundown so that has me a bit nervous but they seem on level with rides from traveling carnivals. I wouldn't pay more than $20 a visit but for the price and convenience it's worth it. They do get packed most days and the parking sucks but that's with most theme parks. Management is AWESOME!!! The staff is AMAZING! I called with a weird request, and they were more than happy to help me out. It wasn't over the top, but if they said no, I wouldn't have been too shocked. I spoke with management and the on-duty manager, Katie, said my request wouldn't be a problem. On the day we came in, I called ahead to double check and another manager, Sarah, I believe her name was said Katie wasn't in that day, but the situation was relayed. They're THAT organized! So when I got there, the staff knew what was going on. I didn't have to explain myself. It took a lot off my shoulders. They are very competent and organized. Our group had a great time.
