Our family had so much fun here! The lifeguards and park staff are friendly, rates are super reasonable, and if you go when they open its not packed with people in the wave pool. What a great place to bring the kiddo's on a hot summer day. We spent about 5 hours here and the kids were begging to stay. Our boys are 8 & 4 yrs old and the rides and attractions were diverse enough to entertain both wonderfully. The park was nicely staffed and the restrooms were clean. Avoid like the plague Went during so called "Family Fun Night" - big mistake. Golf is closed (flooded), Haunted place is closed (seasonal) and there were no face painters or other "surprises" promised by the website. The "manager" stated it might rain and the owner didn't want to "take another hit". The rides are crap and there is nearly nothing to do. Not worth it at any price. There are two kinds of businesses in this world: those who value repeat business and strive to give you something for your money so you will be back and those that try to get as much as they can out of you once and basically tell you to kiss off afterwards. Now to be truthful, this park nowhere near compares to the behemoth competition that six flags, adventure land, or even World's of fun presents. But, if you are looking to take the day off and show your kids a good time, then this is the place for you. Especially since the new attraction, Makana Splash, opened up. That was probably my little brother's favorite part of the entire park. My wish for Fun Plex is that it will further expand its water park adding in possibly more water slides or something for the older kids to play on. Its amusement park attraction is as expected, amusingly pittiful. The one roller coaster is very old and tired. The go-karts are fun if you are by yourself, but if you have a little one that needs to ride side by side with you, then plan to wait all day because there were at least eight single go-karts and only two doubles. I could tell the staff was trying their best to keep up with the crowd, but you can only wait so long with a child screaming in your ear that they are bored at a place that is supposed to be fun. Overall the water park is the best part. It's so much fun to just take a weekday off and go in the earlier parts of the day, because about when 2:00 hits is when everybody decides they want to come to fun plex too. read more

A whole new experience! When I was growing up, Fun Plex was overpriced and dingy. In the last year or so, they have really spruced things up. The life guards are very diligent. The old roller coaster has been sold and new water slides have been put in. The new splash park with water bucket is fun for the younger kids and gives the parents a break. There are specials on Groupon and on week days make it affordable (not cheap) for a family to spend a few hours here as a treat. If your family loves it, purchase the season passes during Black Friday for next year. read more

I am going to split this review into two. I am going to review Fun Plex and then review The Park After Dark -- I kind of feel like it should be split up as the experiences are completely different. The Park After Dark is essentially the water park being open at 8:30pm until 1 am certain nights a week for 21 and older crowd. Fun Plex --- I honestly hadn't been here since I was probably 14 years old. I am now in my mid-twenties, so it has definitely been a while. I brought my partner here as he had never been there before. We went on a Tuesday where you got to enjoy the waterpark and rides for a cheap $14.95 per person. We stayed all day except for when we went to a nearby Subway to grab lunch (no way I'm paying those kind of prices for mediocre food). They open at noon and honestly the waterpark aspect of it was very enjoyable when they first open. It didn't really start to get crowded until around 2:30 to 3pm. But once it starts to get crowded its literally not very enjoyable. The motion ocean is entirely too small. The owners of Fun Plex should seriously considering upgrading and at least doubling the size of the motion ocean. On hot summer days, it gets packed and you can barely move without bumping into someone. I don't find that kind of experience to be fun at all. The rides are pretty much ones you'd find at your typical city fair. I do love the Tilt-a-Whirl though. It seems as if almost all the rides are extremely dated and don't really add much to the park. It seems hit or miss whether or not a particular ride will be broken down. The day I went there were 2 rides not working. Even back when I went there as a teenager, it seemed as if not all the go-karts and karts for the slick track worked. The same goes still. All in all, I didn't have a horrible time, but even on discount Tuesdays and Thursdays I don't think the money was worth what we got. If I did decide to go again, I would not pay full price and go on the discounted days. Honestly, I had more fun swimming in my apartments pool than being at Fun Plex. It's just too small. If you are going to go on the non-discount days you might as well make the 2 hr drive to Adventureland where they have a gazillion more rides and their water park is probably 4x as big as Fun Plex for just about 10 dollars more. It's a much better deal. The Park After Dark -- I only went to this because some of my friends really wanted to go. At the beginning of summer it was $5 to get in and you got a coupon for a drink. Then some things happened (I think a lot of rowdy, drunk people started fights) and Fun Plex upped the price to $8 and no drink voucher (to improve security), the same crap went on and Fun Plex cancelled it. The drunk people rallied and got Fun Plex to change their minds. It's now $10 to get in and once again no drink voucher. My friends, partner, and I got there shortly before 9pm. It was not crowded at all! Praise Jesus! We rent our tubes and take to the motion ocean... and there were literally gobs upon gobs of hair and debris EVERYWHERE. It was incredibly, incredibly disgusting. I assume the pool was not cleaned after they closed down and re-opened for the night. Really? They couldn't make one of their employees go through the motion ocean with a skimmer? I am literally not talking about some hair and debris here and there.. it was literally everywhere. It was so gross that we went to the lazy river. At that point my friends and I bought a drink. We set our tubes (4 of them) down and literally walked maybe 20 feet to the area where you buy drinks. We were gone from our area approximately 5 minutes. In that 5 minutes, some asshole decided to jack one of our tubes. Luckily, we told someone who worked there and they gave us another tube.. but so much for their security. So we are floating in the lazy river and it was nice. There were no kids and it wasn't particularly crowded. My friends apparently enjoyed their drink and wanted another. So to keep our tubes from getting jacked again, my partner and I stayed in the pool with our friends' tubes so they wouldn't get jacked again. At this point some extremely intoxicated girls came up to us and literally tried to start a fight with us. Once again.. so much for security. I would never go back to The Park After Dark.. I like to drink and have a good time as much as the next person, but I don't particularly enjoy swimming in other peoples hair or being harassed by belligerent drunks. I would just recommend to avoid Fun Plex. Sure, it might be the only water-park in Omaha, but it's definitely not worth the money. You'd be better off at a city pool or making the trek to Adventureland or Worlds of Fun. read more

Bring you own food to eat outside, very expensive to eat inside. They do allow you back in with hand stamp, if you want to go somewhere else to eat. On the day I went 7/2/2017, it was not crowded, but I went during the twilight session and there were tubes everywhere, so we didn't have to rent one. Great for children between 2 and up, everyone had fun. Was surprised that a two year old could go on the one big roller coaster, I didn't take them up on the offer. Anyway we had a great time there and will go every year going forward. read more

You might be impressed if you are under ten years old, but having already gone to some of the best amusement parks in the world, this place just doesn't do anything for me. I think Nebraska should've already become the roller coaster capital of the world by now, it's the perfect geographic location for a record-breaking amusement park. Everybody has that one lame nearby park that they always go to, I can just see the rest of the nation noticing a new park and saying "hey, we've never been to Nebraska before". There are plenty of people who'll drive across the country just to ride a roller coaster (myself included, went all the way to Jersey for Kingda Ka a few years ago), and I see it as a highly sustainable investment. Until then, I will continue to drive to Worlds of Fun or Cedar Point when I want to ride coasters, and I'll drive to Iowa when I want to gamble. If Nebraska could fulfill any of my entertainment needs, I wouldn't have to spend all of my money elsewhere! read more

What a crying shame. These people have had all spring to get their facility in tip-top shape. But Monday, June 4th, the beginning of the 2018 season, the first disappointment we encountered was the Dragon ride was OUT OF ORDER! Huh? We just paid over a hundred dollars to get into the park, and the ride that the grandchildren adore is broken. No one is fixing it. It is just sitting there with parts strewn around. So the little kids run over to the airplanes and guess what? That is out of order too. I asked to speak to the manager and explained that if rides were unavailable, a sign should be posted outside so people could opt out of using the park that day. She said she would do that. Several hours later, as we were leaving, we checked. No sign, She was just "funnin'" us apparently. Some restrooms had no soap. Some restrooms had toilets that didn't flush. Why would you not have your facility in pristene condition at the beginning of the summer? Entrance prices are high, as are food concessions. To have to deal with a broken-down facility is not a fair exchange for the customer. Get your house in order! read more

Worst waterpark I've ever been to. I was there for 15 minutes and went down the slide once. I paid for access to the waterpark and amusement park. After 1 slide down (which I got stuck on during the ride down) I was about to go look at what else there was, but then they temporarily shut down the park for thunder in the area. After the 30minute wait, they opened the park back up. After five minutes more thunder and they had to close down the park temporarily again for another half hour. I talked with management to see if I could get a refund since I would assume that this would happen for the rest of the day. They said they would not offer a refund unless the park closed. Assuming that the park would open and temporarily for the rest of the night I decided to leave. Even the 15-year-old girl at the register I talked to the issue about said that they never issue refunds. All in all I drew the conclusion that the park never closes and therefore never issues refunds so unless you want to throw a decent chunk of your money down the drain it would probably be better off that you donate the money to charity. I will never return to this area and I will never tell anybody to go to this area as it was a waste of money and a waste of time and I am highly unsatisfied with management with the way they run the park with all the money that they rip people off with you would assume that some of that money gets turned back into the park. However, this is not the case as this is one of the dirtiest and worst water parks I have ever been to. Do not waste your time. read more

the games are dated and poorly maintained. the staff is less than helpful mostly made up of high school kids with low motivation or basic knowledge of the establishment and problem resolution. the prize selection is very deceiving and limited--kids are left disappointed because every prize they picked was "out of stock" read more
