They were so friendly and accommodating, even speaking to the endodontist on call who made arrangements to see her first thing in the morning tomorrow. So, I've been going to another dentist for about 4-5 years. I have a very good friend that works at this other dental office so I was always just able to text and go in. I'm not going to say the dentist was horrible. He had a decent bedside manner, however because it's a corporate office type dental establishment, it's very rushed!! In August I had a crown put on, they opted not to do a root canal on the tooth, I knew I needed one. Fast forward to September 2nd I went back in pain by this time and he said he was referring me to his endodontist who would not be back in office for two weeks. Frustrated, I started researching and came upon Dr Zegar (who is an AMAZING endodontist) who I ended up having do my root canal. Fast forward a week or so later I made an appointment with Dr Hatami as she was recommended by Dr Zegar but I had also been researching a new dentist anyways, and had read reviews on her office. I had my initial appointment/assessment and she recommended finishing my deep cleaning (which I had started with the other dental office but never finished as I was doing a quadrant at a time) so upon leaving Dr Hatami I scheduled my deep cleaning for 3 weeks away (I was a little bummed it wasn't sooner) the very next day they text me twice about two different cancellations for thats same day!! I took one of them. The hygienist Jennifer is AMAZING!! I had already read that online, but let me tell you if you have dental anxiety this place it your place!! It started with the bright and cheery greeting we received from Heather. Then on to an hour appointment with Dr. Wang, she is the most pleasant, cheerful, thorough dentist I have ever met. Not only did I get a COMPLETE cleaning along with a set of X-rays. Dr. Wang talked me through everything she was going to do. She explained where she wanted my teeth to be (look healthy and happy) and how to get there. My husband, who is not overly fond of dentists, took to her right away. She has a lovely calming personality, always smiling and explaining. If I could give her 10 stars I would. My husband had a crown pop off last night, he left Dr. Wang a voice mail message and received a phone call this morning to come in at 11:00 (she is closed on Monday's) to take care of the crown. My new patient visit included x-rays, a thorough cleaning, MANY photos of what my teeth actually look like (yikes, the plaque!), a tooth-brushing demonstration, and guidance about how to use a Water Pik. The treatment plan she formulated for me was conservative, fair, and reasonable, and there was not one attempt to try to upsell me. She taught me so much about my teeth and oral hygiene care in that initial visit. And like any good educator, she was transparent about the work she was doing and what she plans to do with my teeth. I found her to be so motivating and encouraging. As someone who has never been a consistently good dental patient, I really appreciated her approach. I went back a month later for a few fillings and she showed me (via before and after photos) how much I've improved in my oral hygiene and a few areas where I need to be more diligent.
