I wish I could give this place 6 stars. Dr. Hatamis office just does it right. I have been with them since moving to Redlands for a few years and they truly never disappoint. From the cleanliness of the office and amazing dental work of the staff. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I want to start with the front desk staff. They are efficient, timely and able to give you pricing in minutes.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I love their waitlist system for appointments where they will text you if a spot opens up! It's so much more convenient than a call when I'm busy at work.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They are so easily reached and responsive- and very kind.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]For the assistants/ dental hygienists I cannot say more great things about them, especially my hygienist Jennifer. She does a phenomenal job, is sweet and kind- as well as makes sure the suction is working overtime so you don't feel like your drowning during the cleaning![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Dr. Hatami is amazing. She is extremely competent, a dental artist. I came to have my front teeth looking better prior to my wedding and it was just amazing. I have had multiple cavities filled, teeth fixed (including a crown) and it has all been wonderful. She truly is an artist the way she crafts and creates the crowns/dental work. They use high tech instruments in the office and can really tell they stay up to date with new innovations in the field. I always joke but I truly mean it when I say that I love coming to the dentist because of this dental office. I've been a patient of Dr. Hatami's since I moved to Redlands in 2018. Before Hatami, I never experienced such a spotless, professional, top of the line technology, and customer focused place. Everyone including the temp staff have such great bedside manner. Plus, they are always playing the best music in their office! Pre-2020, they had these warm blankets they'd drape over your legs during your sessions. Post-2020, they even updated their air purifiers to keep the office air clean. Super proactive. Very recently I had a dental emergency come up and contacted Dr. Hatami on her emergency line. She assessed the situation promptly and was on it! I was patched up the very next day. My dental care is in tiptop shape thanks to coming to Dr. Hatami's. Her care and her staff's care are apparent every visit. Thanks for all you do, Dr. Hatami! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Amazing practice! Staff is all very friendly and helpful.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] no BS billing/charges and excellent work done. This places saved my son who was told elsewhere that he needed crowns/root canals and here he only needed some fillings. So thankful we found Dr Hatami. We are from the bay area up North and its hard finding a new dentist. Sad that my son had to be the ginea pig but glad at the same time so now the rest of the family will be going!! :) Thank you all for your honesty, professionalism and care! Dr. Karin Hatamai is the only dentist compared to all the other dentists, all these years I have taken my boys for checkups, have diagnosed my son correctly. This office's thoroughness revealed that my son had a genetic anomaly in his teeth. I appreciate that they don't just rely on X-rays but analyze the results. My kids always receive excellent care here, and they don't push for procedures if you disagree. With my background in dentistry, I know a good doctor when I experience one. 10 stars to Dr Hatami. The office is spotless. The staff are caring and excellent. The doctor has the absolute latest equipment and AI technology. She is a leader in her field who has one many awards. She's an educator as well. I've been a patient of Dr Hatami for almost 5 years now. My past experiences at dental officeS was you show up get your teeth cleaned maybe get a filling or two and be on your way. I never enjoyed it. After a colleague of mine recommended Dr Hatami I gave it a try and I'll never go back anywhere else. She has a different approach of treating the whole mouth, not just your teeth. Dr Hatami and her staff are the perfect example of people using their skills and qualifications to improve people's lives to the best of their ability. They don't just treat teeth here they treat people as a whole. As a side note I'm an IT professional and mainly service medical and dental offices. I have the choice of around 60 offices in the Inland Empire. My wife and I are both patients of Dr. Hatami and I recommend her to anyone who asks me about a dentist. . This review is strictly for the hygienist. My 18 year old went in today for an adult cleaning and she had her teeth cleaned. My daughter told me it was a horrible experience as the hygienist was silent the whole time and did not explain anything to her that she was going to do, nor did she lay her seat back to be able to clean. She was in and out in 20 minutes for an adult cleaning. I highly recommend if you come here for a cleaning to only see Jennifer or crystal or else you will regret it. This is the reason my family and I don't stay up on our cleanings if we cannot get Jennifer or crystal. Dr. Hatami and all the other staff are great, but the new dental hygienist that come and go are not that great. read more

Customer Service: Their customer service is superior to anything I've ever seen out of a dental office. I am writing this review after my first visit and I can't stop talking about how impressed I was with this office. Everyone here deserves to be acknowledged. The receptionists welcomed me with a smile, made the check in process extremely easy and were happy to explain in detail how my benefits worked and broke down the costs of services. I spoke to two young ladies at the reception area and both were great. My dental assistant was awesome I don't remember her name but she was really friendly and made my experience enjoyable. Dr. Hatami is wonderful, from the beginning she did a great job at explaining everything that was happening step by step. Her communication skills and style were excellent and above average. You can tell that she has tons of experience and expertise and you can also tell she loves her profession. Cleanliness: The office was really clean and even the decor in the waiting room is pleasing to look at. Everything seemed really sanitary. Financial: This is an office that shows that they are there to take care of you and your treatment. I didn't feel at any point like they were trying to sell me anything I didn't need. Great experience from start to finish, nobody likes going into a new Dental office and I will 100% recommend this location to any of my family or friends. The office is so beautiful and clean as soon as you walk in your greeted by the nicest front desk they help you with your paperwork and any questions and my wait Was less than five minutes. The doctor is so thorough and knowledgeable. She was able to help me understand everything that I needed and why it was needed. The Assistant who took my x-rays was gentle and made sure I was comfortable with the upmost care my Hygienist was amazing. She was friendly. She was sweet. She was thorough. And didn't hurt me at all I've never had such a great experience this team is a 10 out of 10 for me read more

Researched for new dentist and read 5 star Yelp reviews for Dr. Hatami. Scheduled appointment and met with Dr. Hatami, and she recommended changing silver crowns for white; I agreed. In pain after procedure as it's common for first week or two. I was scheduled for a cleaning two weeks after procedure, and I voiced about the pain continuing. Told by doctor to wait it out another 2 weeks. Returned over a month later as teeth still sore when chewing. Doctor unable to determine problem, and referred to root canal specialist, whom I called a few times with no call back. The reason for Dr. Hatami's two stars instead of four... Staff member reviews dental insurance to determine coverage, and I am notified the amount to pay out of pocket. I always leave a doctor's office and pay in full. With this office, I had received two different billing statements for additional monies. Not experienced this before, which is frustrating. read more

I would absolutely recommend this dentist office to anyone in fact I have been. Dr. Hatami patient care manners are the best, she is very transparent and explained everything throughly making me feel at ease. Her staff is amazing from the hygienist to the front office staff. They are all amazing, warm and inviting. The candles throughout the office almost makes you feel like your at a salon. The office was very clean with new technology. Dr. Hatami is an ANGEL. I was seriously in a desperate situation because my flipper (which was for one of my front teeth) was disposed and crushed...BY MY TODDLER! I work at a job where I have to talk to people my entire shift, face to face. I would be mortified if I had to go in with a missing tooth. So this was my livelihood. I called Dr. Hatami's staff first thing in the morning and they were VERY sympathetic to my situation and got me in! Not only did they get me in, but they also got me a flipper in the same day within hours. She is truly a perfectionist (in a good way!) and not only did she make my retainer better then it has ever looked in my entire span of having one, but she also made me feel confident and I left the office like a new woman. Even my family members were in awe of how great she matched my teeth. She is a master of her craft and deserves more than 5 stars! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND read more

Typically, I don't write reviews. I can't recall the last time I wrote one. However, I feel compelled to express my gratitude to this dental office. I knew this dental office was special from the moment I walked through the door. Upon entering the lobby, I felt the sentiment of elegance and sophistication. The establishment's ambiance provides a "chic boutique" vibe coupled with a warm, friendly, cozy, and family-oriented environment. It's the best of both worlds. I noticed small and subtle things - like the luxurious fragrance in the lobby. It was reminiscent of entering an upscale establishment like the Ritz Carlton or the W Hotel. I wasn't sure if they were doing dental work in the back or if I walked into a spa resort! (jk) The setup in the office seemed very streamlined, efficient, and professional. Appointments seemed to run smoothly. I have not seen a patient waiting for a prolonged time in the lobby or complaining about the wait. They are punctual and accommodating if you're running behind. The establishment is clean, hygienic, and well-kept. Dr. Hatami is excellent. She is very personable and professional. Her clinical acumen and bedside manner are very comforting. I would go so far as to say that, compared to providers in the past, Dr. Hatami is top-tier. She also has the latest technology available in her office, which shows me she is up-to-date in her specialty. I have been impressed with Dr. Hatami since day one. At my initial visit, she explained my options in detail. She shared with me which plan was projected to have the best outcome. She was very open and honest about what I should expect. Transparency and honesty go a long way with me. My impression was that had I been a close family member, she would have given the same recommendation - which is good. I never felt as though she was ever rushing with me. She took her time and showed great gentleness and compassion in my experience. At one visit, I noticed what I believe to be a student training to be a dental hygienist or dental assistant tagging along with their team. Dr. Hatami and her assistant were friendly toward her. Dr. Hatami and her assistant used the opportunity to contribute to the student's education by teaching at the bedside. Having been a "lifelong student" myself, I found this to be a wonderful touch to the establishment - a place where trainees can learn how to do things RIGHT. I'm a strong proponent of "reach one, teach one." The establishment gets extra points for this. The dental hygienists and ancillary staff have all been superb. This includes Amber, Jennifer, and Madonna. More individuals have helped me throughout my treatment, yet I missed their names - but they all deserve the highest praise. The communication with the office has been seamless and efficient. The automated text reminders are helpful. Patients can even communicate with the front office directly via text. This feature is beneficial for someone on the go! I recently had an issue that needed more urgent intervention. Dr. Hatami and her staff got me in right away within 24 hours to address my concern. I am receiving some services with Dr. Marcus Paulson (Orthodontics), and the communication and coordination between the two offices have been great. My experience so far has been nothing short of amazing. The process thus far has been smooth and seamless. I couldn't be any more pleased with their service. I highly recommend this place to anyone who needs help and wants to make the best of their dental experience. read more

I hate going to the dentist but this office makes it easy. Jennifer is amazing - friendly, patient and explains every step. She calmed my nerves after not going to the dentist in many years. Billing is fair - my spouse was charged way more for the same cleaning at another dentist and will be switching. Easy to change appointment or pick up a cancellation opening over text. Always starts on time, when you are scheduled. Dr.Hatami is awesome she takes the time to meet with each patient and hear their concerns, never making you feel rushed. I unfortunately did not have a great experience here, I picked this place because of the great reviews. The staff here are great and extremely friendly and professional besides Dr.Hatami. When I first made my appointment I was very transparent and told them that I haven't gone to the dentist since I was a teenage due to not having insurance or the funds and now that I have insurance and a good job I am very excited to get work done on my teeth because when I was younger my parents took me to Mexico for dental work since it was cheaper. I regret being so vulnerable and transparent with her because Dr. Hatami used this to literally make fun of me WHILE working on my teeth. Referring to the crown that I got done in Mexico a dinosaur tooth, constantly just talking about how large that crown was, asking where did I get this thing, who did this, asking "what do you think is the reason for all this decay" It was so inappropriate and I was literally in tears while she was doing this. She obviously thought I was crying because of the pain but honestly I was just really sad and shocked to be treated this way. I OBVIOUSLY did not make another appointment or plan to go back. I was not going to write a review on my awful experience but then yesterday about 7 months from my last appointment I received a $600 bill for the work that was done. When I asked why I was charged correctly on my last visit they responded by saying well the insurance paid less than expected.. Not only did they send me the wrong invoice for another patient which shows their medical information and billing information (HIPPA violation) but I do feel like they charged me more due to not make a follow up appointment. Dr. Hatami needs to learn professionalism and kindness. I wouldn't recommend this place. read more

I needed to find a new dentist since the one I was going to seemed to stop caring about his job.... I found Karin Hatami because she was close to parents house. And I'm beyond happy I found her. She and her staff are behind the nicest people I've ever met and are the most accommodating people. I called several other places before finding her and made them aware I was pregnant and each time I had to call them because they scheduled x rays for me, & they said x- rays won't hurt baby. Ugh yah right... lol. So anyway I called this office and the girls were super sweet on the phone and called to remind me about the appointment the first time. The hygienist and the doctor managed to do my cleaning and exam without any xrays. They even told me they could fix the chips on my enamel that doctors before said they couldn't do anything about. So COVID19 happened so I had to cancel that appointment but I went again today now that everything is opening back up. They remembered my pregnancy for the most part and didn't need to numb me to fix it my multiple chips and cracks. They used safe practices with COVID19 guidelines and took my words and notes into consideration and they were able to do all this safely without giving any medication that could effect me or my baby. I highly recommend. Seriously. Beyond the nicest dental office and dr and staff I've ever met. read more

History

Established in 1992.

Dr. Hatami has been practicing dentistry since 1992 with the opening of her first office in the Bay Area. She relocated to Southern California in 2000, settling in Redlands and practicing in San Bernardino. She decided to move her practice to downtown Redlands in 2015 to be closer to her patient base and to provide high quality service in a state-of-the-art facility.

Meet the Business Owner: Karin H.

Dr. Hatami was born and raised in Germany. She moved to the United States to pursue her undergraduate studies in Biology at University of San Francisco. She completed her dental training at University of Pacific, graduating Cum Laude (Honors) in 1992. Dr. Hatami never stopped her pursuit of knowledge and continued education. She completed extensive training in Cosmetic Dentistry at Loma Linda University and USC. She also received 3 certifications in restoring implants and 2 certifications in Botox treatment of jaw pain. Dr. Hatami practiced in the Bay area for 10 years before marrying and moving to Southern California in 2000. After her move, she settled in Redlands and began building her practice in San Bernardino. She volunteers at the Ronald McDonald house, serving meals to the families and donating her time at the Free- Dental -Clinic for Kids. She loves spending time with her family skiing , camping , cycling and has been an avid equestrian since the age of 5.

This place is ran with little to 0 communication between front and back office. You will not be greeted when you enter and you will overhear the office staff talk openly about claim information that makes the waiting room uncomfortable. There is a reason most medical facilities operate front office behind a glass, to protect patient privacy. Our first visit wasn't so bad, but they were unable to do my child's fillings, so we reschedule. An empty waiting room and it still took 13 minutes to check my daughter into a room. Seated by 12:46. Not until about 1:07 does the dentist come in and numb her mouth with esthetic. We start waiting. I look inside her mouth and don't see the "cavity". Last time I was told two fillings, two cavities. Today I learn it's the space in between the teeth. When I look I see nothing more than a little dirt on the top her teeth. Well the dentist goes back with another patient and leaves my daughter to numb. He doesn't come back until 1:41 when I tell him I must leave at 2 because of work. They seemed to have no disregard for patient time. They do the filling in less than 9 minutes! So, they made us wait over 1 hour for a 9 minute procedure! Seems a bit odd. We are not greeted by staff again and no samples are given. Every dentist I have ever been to give toothpaste and toothbrushes to ensure future teeth hygiene. I look inside her mouth and the dirt I saw was filled! I don't understand why they drilled the top of her teeth that were not even a cavity. As parents, we are unable to see what the dentist is doing inside their mouth with all the tools they use, unlike a physician in which we can ensure proper injection procedures. Dentists can be drilling away at previous teeth and ruining them forever, when simple treatment or cleaning be rendered. This is a medical facility that does not care about the personal experience as only 2 people out of 8 were friendly. I regret coming here will never be back again. It is places like this that will ruin your child's teeth per mantels and tell you cavities exist when they haven't even began to form. Compared to my first visit, the friendly dental hygienist clearly had issues with the work flow of the office as they interrupted my daughters procedures to ask questions. Also, a facility with 8 waiting rooms is a HUGE indicator you will be waiting for a long time. The rooms are very open and again, it lacks respect for patient privacy. People forget that HIPPA still applies to dental and when someone is walking around saying room 6 this or room 5 this, people can see who exactly is in which room getting what procedure. Pavilion dental by food for less does a better job in less time if your looking for a local dental practice. Don't waste your time, other places will not treat you less important based on your insurance. Medicaid discrimination is real and you will notice it with this facility. The people whom you book the appointment with on the phone are a call center, they do not even work at the facility!!

My issuance provider specifically explained the details of what was covered and how much I already paid and the person at bright now dental said we were right we didn't owe. They'll remove the billing immediately and it's still not removed this was back in October and again in January still I'm being billed for something I do not owe.
