Due to a series of unfortunate events, we found ourselves unexpectedly needing to move out of our old house the following morning and into our new house immediately afterwards. We were turned down by several other local moving companies due to the very short notice. However, Train To Go Movers (TTG Movers) agreed to come at 9A the following morning. The two moving guys, Julius and Oscar were excellent, demonstrating great care and respect for our belongings and furniture. They worked quickly and efficiently and were very organized in their process. It was clear that they were very experienced movers and worked very well as team. We also greatly appreciated the TTG Mover's office lady, Karizma, who set up the move and then followed up with us several times to ensure that everything went smoothly. My moving company contracted 3 movers out from TTG Movers to pack up our things. They packed well. However, we told them that there were items that they should NOT pack up and that we were taking in the car (valuables and our suitcases). We got the movers waters throughout the day and tipped them well towards the end. We left when they had packed everything but our bed as it was getting late and they were almost done. We put our valuables away in our bathrooms and shut the doors. When we arrived back a couple hours later, they team was fine. All of our items had been rummaged through. I am now missing 2 diamond rings from my jewelry box, an heirloom gold necklace from my grandmother, Beats headphones, cash, and Visa Gift Cards. We have filed a police report, but we all know how long that takes in Chicago. I do not recommend or advise using this company as we had meaningful and valuable items missing. read more

if this is Train to Go Movers horrible horrible horrible. Booked them for a move and they never showed up neither did they call. I called continuously and never answered sent multiple text messages no response. Called from another number they answered asked was i mad I stated yes when he realized I was not the intended female he was speaking to and hung up. only to send a text message to call I'm sure to verify it was not the persom he was suppose to have called. Sent an unprofessional message related to how he handled business. He sent a picture of someone in the hospital and stated he got bit by a dog. Don't waste a phone call on Train to go movers not professional or dependable. I had to find immediately movers which cost me greatly. they should close the doors. read more

I highly recommend hiring TTG Movers. I've used a few different moving companies in the past, and I must say I'll never use another moving company moving forward. I have never seen such hard workers and people who move/take care of my belongings as if they were their own. This moving company is great! We just used them last week for moving from our townhouse to our new single family house. They packed up all of our stuff for us in the truck, held it for us in the truck, which actually ended up being for two nights instead of one, and then moved everything into the new house a couple of days later. We needed them on two separate days - one day for our basement belongings and another day for the big move. I hired TTG Movers to help move us out of our 2 bedroom house into a storage unit. Juan (owner) was extremely friendly and responded to all my messages and questions right away! He said he would be at the job himself with two of his best guys and he was indeed! We got the house completely packed, drove to another town and unloaded in our storage unit within 4 hours! I wish that I could say I would recommend TTG. The guys that came and moved our furniture worked really hard and were friendly. However I do not believe this company is bonded/insured as Juan assured me. Unfortunately during our move some of our walls and furniture were damaged. We were frustrated but understand accidents happen. Juan sent someone to come and repair our walls, however when we asked about some sort of compensation for our furniture he stopped returning our calls. Walls are easy to fix but the furniture took the brunt of the damage. There were not only scratches to a couple pieces, one of them actually had major gashes all across the top. This was not something that could be repaired, this piece of furniture is ruined completely. We inquired about reporting it to insurance as that's what we thought was protocol and Juan stopped returning our calls/texts. If filing an insurance claim was not preferable then some sort of compensation should be given. Doing business this way seems shady and dishonest. I would warn anyone who asks us who we used to beware of companies that operate this way. read more

TTG was super efficient, safe with our belongings, and fun to work with! They moved us from Andersonville to Oak Park. It was easy to plan the move with Juan, and I really appreciated the insurance coverage that they provided. It was way more than other movers, which told me that they would be careful with our belongings and our houses. The movers themselves were friendly, personable, and kept asking us if we had any feedback or preferences on how they were moving things. I would highly recommend TTG for anyone. Juan and his team did a great job on my move. It took a little longer than quoted, but he stayed to the original agreement. So I gave him a little extra. They did not once stop to catch a breath.
