I was visiting Clarksburg and wanted to kill time. Plus pamper myself a bit. I stopped by Tuscan and they were booked up. They recommended this place. Staff was friendly. It wasn't super busy. I got a pedi and acrylics. I haven't had acrylic nails since I was in college. Both together was $125. The colors were pretty. When I got in my car, I did notice that my thumb on my right hand was a little messed up. However, I had to head home. I like my pedicure really well. I am grateful that they took me back during what seemed like a busy time as a walk-in. However, I had to self-initate the massage chair and wait 25 minutes before anyone attended to me. No offered drink or warm water to soak in while I waited. Notably, several staff members simply walked past me with a nod of acknowledgment. Once they got started, it was a 25-minute pedicure. They did a good job. But it was not worth $45. With tip $55, that is outrageous!! I come from TX where we get a 45-minute pedicure with a 10 minute massage, a drink (alcohol or non-alcoholic), and warm water while you wait for $35. I get it, big shoes to fill. But they are making hand over-fist on these prices. Not sure I'll be back, I'm still doing the recon for a solid local nail salon. read more

Racist and expensive. During my mani/pedi I was talking to the nail technician about how we used to live in Myrtle Beach, she said "I don't like it there, too many black people." To which I replied "well my husband is black so I can't relate." She realized she messed up and apologized a few times but the damage was done and I will not be back. Also, it is $20 more for gel polish. I don't know what the usual upcharge is but that seems excessive to me! read more

The technician was nice but not very friendly. Before my pedicure she showed me the price list and wanted me to get the 65. pedicure but I asked for the 45. After the pedicure, I asked if she had time to do a quick basic manicure. She did. Again , not super friendly. My manicure consisted of her clipping my nails very short and applying the polish I requested. It took all of ten minutes or less. My biggest issue was at the counter to pay. She gave me the bill for 90. I realized that she was charging me for the 65. not the 45. I felt like she was trying to get by with that. I had never been there and I won't go back even though it was a beautiful salon. I don't like having the "watch out" for overcharging. read more

Arrived at 9:37am for a fill, Linda the nail technician said she could take me as a client, while I was looking at the colors she rudely told me to come sit down that my friend I had with me could look at the colors for me. I came over to sit down to get started, she was extremely rude telling me that I needed to loosen my hands up even though I told her several times I have arthritis in my hands so I was unable to loosen up anymore than I already was. She worked so quick, not taking time to listen to what I wanted, instead she insulted me by saying my nails are crooked because I can't loosen my hands up. When I told her the shape I wanted she instead got them extremely boxy and when I asked for them to be corrected she rushed me to wash my hands, when asked do I wash with soap she said she didn't care what I did because she was finished with me. Before I could even pick up my purse from the chair she was instructing another client to come sit down. I will never go back nor will I ever recommend anyone to go to this establishment. She was very rude, unprofessional, insulting and projected a very intense environment. I was out the door at 9:58 am, it was that quick of an appointment for a fill, color change and trim. Now I have to go somewhere else to have my nails fixed because they are sharp and jagged. They don't even deserve the one star that I was obligated to choose. read more

What a beautiful and relaxing place! It is very clean, peaceful, well decorated, and professionally staffed. I'm staying at a hotel in the area and didn't have an appointment, but called when they opened and they got me right in. I tried for "the works," but was thrilled that they fit me in for a manicure right away. They weren't my first call because they only had 3.5 stars, but this is not the first time I've learned that many people are never satisfied and never miss an opportunity to post about it. Owner did my pedicure and after a week the toenail fell off, went back to tell her and was told "what do you want me to do about it?". No sorry, let me fix it, just an excuse about a bruise that was not spoken about until she was told about the nail that fell off. Almost an 80 dollar pedicure with a 20 dollar tip and that's the response? Also she put on gel, didn't ask but I paid the up charge anyway. She also made fun of my feet and how long it had been since I had a pedicure. I let that go but the interaction with the owner who performed that actual service was beyond disrespectful. No wait at all. They immediately had me picking out colors and then seated in a massage chair with something to drink. I decided to get the everything pedicure and I dont regret it. Between the hot stone massage and sugar scrub my feet and legs felt amazing. The staff was really friendly and polite! If you pay with cash you even get a $5 or $10 off coupon. read more
