I moved here two months ago and needed a haircut. So I went to Supercuts and had a wonderful…read morestylist name Summer Knight cut my sons and my hair. She was excellent and was able to converse while working and the result was probably one of the best cuts we have had in a while. When we went back last week we were told she did not work there. We asked where she went and were told about Hair Shack. The Hair Shack was close and as usual we were given the same excellence and are extremely satisfied with Summers work! She does manicures and pedicures and coloring as well. Her prices were great and she is always quick. I stopped in to get a pedicure. Kim was available so she set me up. The business is renovating so…read morethey don't have prices listed or a menu for options. There are three types of pedicures and I tried the top of the line for $55.00. I chose the lavender packet and it was very relaxing. The massage chairs are standard and they are building a room inside the business for waxing services to provide privacy. The pedicure involved a bubble bath of lavender for your feet, a nice scrub and hot towel treatment. The polish options are not displayed due to the renovation but they have a color palette you can select from easily. Sadly my feet needed a lot of work and Kim was great fixing my cracked heels and trimming up my nails perfectly. There is minimal conversation even among the employees which I appreciate so you can just relax. I was very pleased with the results and I will definitely be back. It was also nice I could include the tip on my credit card. So many places want cash and I never carry cash. Great job Paris Nails!

Overall, I've had good experiences at Tuscan. I utilize this place for waxes (bikini or Brazilian)…read more The aestheticians that I've used have been really good. Both Michelle and Marissa are thorough, professional, and friendly. Considering how awkward the experience is, they both do a good job of making it as quick and painless (HAHAHA) as possible. Haven't taken advantage of any other services so I can't attest to the quality of anything else except the waxes. I'm satisfied with those (obviously). I'll continue to use Tuscan when I get in for my quarterly visit to WV.

This is about one experience only for a dazzle nail polish. Tuscan was the ONLY place in the…read morecounty that was doing dazzle. It was supposed to last as long or longer than gel but the selling point was it was not as damaging to your nails not needing cured. When the person was done I checked my nails and almost everyone of them had large gaps on the sides of the nails where no polish had been applied at all. It looked worse than doing them yourself. I was not sure how to nicely say they were a hot mess so I just showed her the edges how they lacked any color at all and she understood. She attempted to correct the problem, but it really did not as she did not give those nails the full treatment which was two coats and a top coat or coats but instead applied only one layer. This was not what was done to the few nails that were fully coated. Needless to say within the week, the polish came off on all the edges she had tried to fill in for a brand new manicure!!! Very disappointing and not the usual for Tuscan. Money wasted and I really did not get a chance to compare the dazzle nails to gel due to this experience.

literally went home crying! I came in super nice asked for acrylic manicure and gel pedicure, right…read moreoff the rip she was super annoyed with me and acted like she wanted nothing to do with this service. it wasn't busy, she was the only worker when I came in and nobody was in getting a service. when I asked if she had a butter yellow color, she told me to go look at the books cause she has hundreds of colors and she doesn't have time to keep track of a yellow color. super rude about it. I proceeded and while looking at colors she told me to take the books with me so she can get started already. again very rude and annoyed with her approach. she didn't speak at all to me so I tried to ask questions or make small talk and she rolled her eyes the whole time or either gave me another rude remark. I asked her which shade of white she would think bests match the style of nails I was going for and she said "don't ask me. They're not my nails and I don't have to go home and look at them. I don't care what color you choose just pick one." then the whole time she was doing my toes and nails, she was yanking my hands and feet, jerking me around and rushing through it all. if I barely moved she would yank me. and when it was time to put it under the gel light she shoved and threw my hand EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I was holding back tears the whole service and I even tried to kill with kindness. Telling her I loved the shape of the nails, she did so good, etc. Nothing I did or said was making her less mean to me. if I complimented her, she'd ignore me, roll eyes, etc. If I asked for anything I used my manners, please and thank you so much. I'm new here to WV, don't have any friends, family etc. I moved across the country and have been working my butt off, I never get days to just relax or pamper myself and the one day I finally get to, I was crying cause of how horrible I was treated. I thought she was just like that but TWO others came in and she was SO nice to them. she told them to grab some water and hangout until their appointment, she was talking to them and having great banter. Idk what happened but from the moment I walked in, until I left I was so nice and I continued to receive horrible treatment. Once it was time to pay, she charged me 85 for my nails and 65 for my toes. AFTER she confirmed it was 45 and 55. I didn't want to argue so I paid and left and when I left a smaller tip (8$) she said "you can go and have a nice day now" and pointed me out the door. I'm not even angry. I was so heartbroken from this experience and I was really looking forward to this. Zero stars if I could give it.
