    Original tonkotsu

Got the original tonkotsu chashu(pork) and it was really good. Creamy broth, great mix of flavours, the meat was perfectly seasoned and tender. The egg complimented the broth well. The only thing missing was corn! The only thing I found a bit weak were the noodles. They were thin and a bit too stuck together.

I came here for their vegan ramen. They only have 2 options, regular or spicy. It's made with soy broth, green onions, baby tomatoes, spinach, corn, shiitake, wood ear mushrooms and tofu. Extra toppings and flavours can be added. The broth is served warm rather than hot. I like the texture of the spinach. The shiitake has a sweet taste like it's been marinated in sweetened mirin. The broth has a mild flavour. Overall delicious.

Nicely decorated resto with plants and vases. Service was pretty quick. Ramen was tasty but smaller portion than other places. The 1$ takoyaki special (limited) was very good.

It was a rainy, chilly day and Tsukuyomi was BUMPIN'. So many people were waiting, and we got a seat at the little counter area. I loved the vibe, it was so cozy and warm. A server helped us immediately, and the food came out quite fast. There are great vegetarian and vegan options. I ordered the veggie spicy miso tonkotsu, which was pork-based broth with tofu and vegetables. They have vegan broth available for those who don't eat meat at all. The broth was HEAVENLY. I ordered low sodium, and it was fine for me. The tofu came in very thin layers, and they were SO TENDER. I was in shock that the tofu could be so delicious. The noodles are the proper thin, straight ramen type. Soft-boiled were delicious (I got an extra one), and I felt that the portions were very generous. The chicken karaage was also excellent, especially the sauce that it came with. I would definitely come back. The ambiance and food are perfect for wintertime!

Flavourful and clean pork broth ramen. The egg was good, noodle quality was very high and they were cooked perfectly el dente. Chashu was a bit fatty for me but that's a matter of preference. Thé chili was actually quite hot, but the start of the show definitely is the broth.

My favorite ramen place in montreal. Best broth, love the creaminess. Place is very authentic and have cute decorations. Lots of appetizers to choose from. The pork is very flavorful. Egg has a unique sweet taste. If you like spicy, definitely try their takana and spicy miso. Also have a vegan option, but I prefer the pork bone broth. The matcha cheesecake is very good. They have a 5 to 7 where beers are half off, cheers! I enjoy the ambience and food is top notch.

This place was ok. The ika salad was completely disappointment, we didnt even finish it. The salmon was good. The ramen was made with what seemed like wheat noodles. The chashu was nice and tender.

Yum!! I really enjoyed eating cold ramen! It was my first time and it was delicious! The noodles were chewy, the toppings were super good! And the staff was pretty friendly. I recommend!

Yey! I found a new ramen place that I love! I was looking for something new in the area and I found this little place. Their spicy ramen is delicious and so is the regular ramen. The place seem to be pretty popular, we arrived around 17:30 and it was already pretty busy, by the time we finished eating there was a 10 something people line in front waiting for a table. It's inexpensive and rich in flavor and their takoyaki is pretty good too. Definitely will be coming back there again!

Quick service in a small ramen shop, but the ramen left me wanting. The noodles were good, the pork was braised great and super tender. However the broth of the tonkatsu did not stand out to me. It wasn't bad but it wasn't amazing either. I went with regular saltiness, but next time I'm going to try extra salt and see if it's better. If the broth is better, I'll probably edit the review and up a star I also had edamame that was pretty good. Piping hot and nicely salted. It's not a bad spot. Welcoming, pretty tasty, but there's a bunch of ramen spots in town that I may rather go to for now. I will be back!

I walked by this place a couple of times while in Montreal and it was quite crowded during lunch hours! I planned on having dinner there with my husband since it was recommended by the locals. Unlike most ramen places I've been to, this place was quiet and it made us look like loud Americans which we didn't intended to. Our servers were nice and attentive. She recommended us getting the Chashu Tonkotsu with spicy miso. I also loved that you could choose the saltiness of the broth! I went with low (from low, regular and high). I'd give my ramen 5 out of 5! Loved the pork bone broth and braised pork. I asked for extra egg and Nori and stuffed myself. Be aware that the portion is big, so don't order any extras unless you add really hungry! For $13.50 (Canadian), it's so worth it! And it's located in such a nice location in Mile End. I would definitely come back next time I'm in town!

I won a birthday giveaway contest on Instagram for a free ramen and drink so I came here to try it out on a Sunday evening. I got takoyaki as an appetizer as I was starving, and it was yummy; crispy on the edges and ooey gooey on the insides; it could have been slightly more hot/fresh, but was still satisfying. I got the miso ramen with the spicy sauce on the side, which I suggest you do so that you can taste the broth on its own. The broth itself is not too thin and somewhat thick, and has a great depth of flavour. The meat is super tender and not oily. The noodles are very thin and soak up a lot of the flavour! The addition of some green vegetables was welcome and balanced the rich broth and meat. I really loved the fact that the garlic oil was at every table to use as one pleases, which adds a lot of depth of flavour. I added some oil and some of the chili sauce/oil (that I had requested on the side) with each bite, and it was a wonderful harmony of salty, spicy, and umami. The only aspects I miss are having the pork be a little crisp on the edges, and the wiggly strands of seaweed (not nori) that are sometimes in ramen bowls (at Sansotei). Overall, I found the ramen very authentic and brought back memories of my time in Japan this year. Service was friendly, and the atmosphere was fun and with an open concept kitchen. They also have a happy hour special on Sapporo beer!

Foood was really good, They serve most dishes in a cast iron pot and your food finishes cooking right in front of you while your starting to eat it as well

Even during peak summer season the restaurant was crowded and even had a line starting to form at peak lunch hour. There are not very many large tables so don't expect a large group to be sitting together. The menu is pretty straightforward with the typical miso, tonkotsu, and shoyu broths. But they even have a tomato broth with Hokato scallops for those more adventurous. We ordered the Tonkotsu Black $19 & the Tonkotsu+ $19. Is it pricey for Ramen? Yes. But was it worth it? Yes. The Tonkotsu Black had a rich broth with prominent garlic oil. The Tonkotsu+ was really the show stopper. With 3 different styles of meat: Smoked pork pastrami, meatballs & chashu. The truffle oil was fragrant and earthy. But the biggest surprise was shiitake mushrooms. They were marinated/seasoned to perfection, with a hint of sweetness. I would've been happy with just a giant bowl of shiitake mushrooms, and truffle oil. The broth was much lighter and delicate than the Tonkotsu Black, yet strong on the truffle. If you're not really a fan of truffle, do not get this. We were tempted to go back again, but we opted to try other restaurants around the downtown area. 10/10 Would go back again! The staff are very friendly and quick. Give it a try! They have multiple locations, especially if you're looking for something new, yet comforting.

I stopped by around 8:45 PM, 15 minutes before they closed, but the staff were so kind and lovely, let me dine in, gave me a free drink on the house, and even told me to take my time and not worry about closing. I ordered the spicy garlic pork ramen with thick noodles, and I was blown away with how flavorful the broth and QQ (chewy) the noodles were. I didn't like the pork that much and found it a bit tough and gamey, but they do have two other types of meat (chicken, beef) as well as a vegetarian option available, as well as seasonal menu specials. If I was at McGill, I'd probably visit this spot a bit too often LOL, and I highly recommend checking them out for their comforting ramen bowls and incredibly kind service!

However, no dipping sauce is provided, all other joints that I've been to will give you a mayo dipping sauce, not here. The Ramen - noodles were perfectly cooked, however honestly package ramen had a better flavor than their Original pork ramen unfortunately. I had expected this rich and creaminess of the pork broth, that was sticky-lipped intensifying, but it was not. This was disappointing and thus can only give 2 stars. I can't say for other noodle type, but original pork ramen needs a lot of work.

I also ordered the BBQ chicken with tortilla and salad, as well as vegetable gyoza. Everything was incredible. Truly. The gyoza came topped with green onions and was SO crispy and hot and was perfect with their soy sauce. I thought sea bass was wonderful with a unique almost smoky flavor that melted in my mouth paired with the slightly sweet sticky rice. The barbecue chicken was great as well and better the next day. One thing I don't really understand is why they served plain flour tortillas cut into quarters with their food. We didn't utilize this, nor the white butter/mayo sauce that came alongside it. I thought I had pre-booked a reservation, and we were running late. Parking in this area can be a trick. I dropped my wife off and continued to locate parking. She contacted me and said there was no reservation. I panicked as I parked my truck and sifted through my emails for a confirmation. I hustled the 0.4 miles back to her. When I went in the hostess said it wouldn't be a problem and brought us to a table. My wife later told me she was offered tea while she waited. The waiter was on spot. He knew their menu and provided us with his insights. All the food was Devine. Beautifully laid out and brought out each course in the perfect time. My wife loved the hibachi, she doesn't eat much in general and I do most of the cooking at home. She couldn't get enough of putting items in the hibachi and moving them around. And the Saki I had was delicious and looking it up for the going rate they make around $5 per bottle based on what they sell it for and market retail price (place around the corner up charges 110%).
