I've been coming to this tailor shop for years and am always happy with the work done. I've mostly come in for simple hemming of pants or jeans (I'm 5' tall, so even petite clothes sometimes need altering for me), but I've also had zippers or elastic replaced, moth holes repaired, a dress shortened (both torso and length), and even had a men's jacket altered to fit my small frame. The sport jacket belonged to my dad when he was younger, but it's not something he wears anymore. Now I have an awesome custom vest. Something I really appreciate about the owner is that she is completely honest and forthcoming about the alterations being requested. For simple jobs it's pretty straightforward, but for some of my more detailed requests, she always lets me know how much work an alteration will require. More work means more cost, and it's nice to know up front so I can make informed decisions. She also will make suggestions based on what she thinks will work for my frame. She has (thankfully) stopped me from making alterations that wouldn't work for the material or that wouldn't come out the way I intend. I've been to other tailors and the prices here are comparable while the work done is better quality. I would recommend Tsolmon with anything you need to get altered! read more

I was in the market to get a pair of jeans (original stitch) and some work pants hemmed. It was a total of 4 items. I remembered my husband came here to get his suit altered for our wedding years ago and it turned out great so I gave this place a try, though it was way cross town for us. Honestly, I was very impressed by her (I wish I got her name!) work and she let me pick up within a week! She was so nice too. I agree with the those that said this place is terrible -- I went there once to get a simple hem job done and the lady was extremely rude and cranky - I'm usually a very nice and reasonable person, but her attitude was completely uncalled for. I recently brought a skirt to get hemmed to a shorter length. She charged $43 to hem and taper the sides. Overpriced for a gem & taper compared to Nordstrom tailoring. They do t charge that much and usually I go to Walnut Creek to get tailor services. I decided to bring my daughters skirt here due to the convenience of living nearby. However, the day I dropped off the skirt the lady charged $43. She said her machine was taking forever to show my transaction went through. I checked my online bank app and it showed the transaction went through in a pending status. She said I'll check later. I said ok and let me know if there is an issue. So she called me and left me a voicemail to let me know my payment did not show up on her closed receipts. I called my bank and checked my online bank app. The transaction showed paid. This transaction happened on 8/16. My online payment showed paid. I called my bank and the Representative confirmed the funds were taken out of my account and showed paid. When I came in the store today. I told the lady. I received your voicemail stating I didn't pay. I showed her a screenshot that my payment posted. She looked and said your payment does not show on my close of day tally. I said I don't know what to tell you but it's been paid for. I offered to give her the reference # so that she can call her merchant. She declined. I showed her proof of my payment and kept insisting she was not paid. I offered to call my bank with her present she refused. I told her I don't have any reason to lie. Hence, that's why I showed her the paid transaction. She said just go and take the skirt. I reiterated that I paid. I said I don't know what to tell you but you should call your bank. She said no the tally doesn't lie. At this point i took my skirt and left. I have posted a copy of the paid transaction that clearly shows authorized/paid. I will never come here again and give my business. Especially after I tried in good faith to help her resolve her own issue. I'm sorry to say but if you don't appreciate your customers and learn to listen. You're going to lose business. I don't why I kept going here. I guess because it's hard to find alterations places around here. Twice she lost the items I had altered and had to spend 15 minutes looking for them. One of those times she never got to it and asked me to come back. She's *always* in a bad mood and cranky. I called to ask when she closed and she sighed and said "I wish now. Why?" I told her never mind and hung up. The alterations themselves are just OK. It's not like she's changing the industry. I've had some hems that look rushed and crooked. I took 2 pants in to be taken in at the waist and lifting the stride. I took them in the week before Christmas and she was swamped. She told me to return Tuesday January 2nd, but they hadn't been completed. She mentioned she mistakenly out them in the Thursday group. It was't until Jan 9th when I came back in to pick them and she returned them to me and gave me a discount for the previous mishap, good customer service! Is this Tailor still in business? I went, yesterday, morning, to pick up some items I needed repaired, and there was sign on the door, which said they were closed. I thought, maybe, they're closed for lunch, but there were no times for when they'd be back. So, I tried, again in the afternoon and the Closed sign was STILL in the door. I have had about 30 or more articles of clothing tailored here. Here are some of the alterations that were wonderfully and successfully done over a couple of years: 2 Leather jacket - sleeves were shortened and buttons were resown 1 suede jacket- sleeves were shortened 4 different blazers and suit jackers - sleeves shortened and back was taken in 12 or more slacks - waist taken in, legs shortened, belt loops were widened, and the legs of the pants were tapered This is the only tailor shop I go to. I should have taken the dress elsewhere, but was looking for a quality tailor. I took my mom of the bride dress for taking in the top and adding cap sleeves to the dress. She was very unpleasant. Asked me "why did you buy THIS dress." More snide comments followed. After several minutes of discussion, and me having to explain my choice she agreed to do the alterations. Went back today with my daughter and asked for another alteration to the top. Again a bad attitude, and a condescending attitude to fix the top. She told me she did what I asked. I got an outfit for my daughters baptism an I really like it on me just a little too small for me, I couldn't zip it .I brought it in an she measured me an was very polite. While I was leaving because I didn't have the fabric to go with my outfit she ran in the back an remembered she had something white. Can't believe I haven't written a review yet. This has been my family's go to tailoring shop for some time, but I started coming here regularly roughly two years ago after moving back into the area. Diana is fantastic at her job! I need to get at least 50% of my clothes tailored in order for them to fit right so finding a good tailor is a must. When spending a lot of money on clothes, it's important to find someone you can trust to alter them. Diana is incredibly knowledgeable about all types of alterations, fabrics, and virtually any question you need answered regarding clothing. She is also very honest and transparent about what she needs to do in order to make alterations. If you want to look your best, you need to get your clothes altered to fit your body. If off the rack doesn't work for you, I highly recommend bring your clothes here. I know some people complain about the price of tailoring, but seriously, you should consider the cost of alterations before buying anything. Do you really want to cheap out $20 on something you just payed a couple hundred for or do you want to have it look fantastic? If no stars were an option, I would give it. DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOP! I am getting married at a destination wedding and brought my wedding dress in at this shop for alterations. The owner said that since she was busy, she would need 4 weeks to to get it done. I waited 4 weeks and 1 day, when I went to pickup my dress. When I got there, she didn't remember the dress and couldn't find it!! Luckily, I had a picture of the dress and showed it to her. She found my dress...hanging in the same spot after it was pinned...never even touched!! She said she'd finish it in 1day with a discount. I don't think a wedding dress should be rushed, considering 4 weeks was quoted. I demanded the return of my dress. Her only response was the concern in getting her dress pins back!! Very unprofessional! DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOP! Four other tailors couldn't help me, since so much time was wasted. But, I was finally able to find one willing to deal with the time crunch. read more

My bridesmaid dress came out just perfect! It took less than 5 minutes to get me measured. She took a chunk out of the length of the dress off per my request and also made the top of the dress tighter because it was loose on me. It was last minute and she still squeezed me in. I took my BF's suit to be altered. The jacket fit him perfect in the shoulder and chest areas but the mid section was huge on him. The pants needed to be hemmed and taken a bit in the waist as well. We went there Saturday morning and needed both pieces back ASAP because we had a funeral to attend on Sunday. We arrived at around noon and she asked us to return by 2:30 pm. I recently moved for work to Portland OR, and I ended up having to send my suits to Fairfield because the quality and attention to detail is simply above average.
