Very Mango Slush With Mango & Grapefruit & Bubbles
    Anqi H.

I tried the very mango slush with mango and grapefruit and bubbles. The flavors were great at 30% sweetness. Unfortunately the fresh mango pieces were not ripe. I would skip the bubbles next time. They just didn't quite fit in with fresh fruit bits. This location is definitely less fancy than the one in Squirrel Hill. They have the same ordering kiosks, and even a few stools. The ordering process was straightforward. I would maybe try their milk tea here next time.

First time checking out this location (original in Squirrel Hill). It was super easy to order with their touchscreen kiosks. There are three, so I can see how things could get backed up if a line forms. I chose the mango milk tea at 50% sugar and less ice. I was informed that the fruit milk tea is technically lactose-free (contains whey) if ordered without the milk foam. I was happily surprised that the default boba was nata jelly, instead of tapioca pearls. I signed up for membership perks, which included 10% off my first order and lifetime 3% cashback bonus. They even texted the membership card, which can be conveniently saved to Apple Wallet. My only wish is that there was seating inside. Usually I take my boba to-go, but sometimes I like to hang out while I sip and catch up with friends. Otherwise, service was great and will definitely be back!

Lychee Green Tea w. Crystal Pearl& Milk Foal

Great spot for a sweet treat and caffeine fix! Love the squirrel hill location and was excited to try this Oakland location once it opened! Since it is newer, there was no wait to order. I opted to use one of the several self ordering tablets instead of ordering with the cashier. The tablet was easy to order on and automatically prompted you to choose the sweetness level of the drink and offered additional toppings. When I went there was no seating available. I am hopeful that they would add tables and seating since there is room for it in the front of the shop. My order was made quickly and the staff member that gave me my drink was very nice. I got the lychee green tea with crystal pearl and milk foam. It was delicious and refreshing! Overall a great spot for bubble tea!

A small spot to pick up some boba. You order on the touchscreens and there are so many options to choose from - everything from milk teas to fruitier concoctions. Lots of different customizable options, with an added fee of course. The milk teas are all non-dairy. I got the brown sugar milk black tea with bubbles (boba) at 30% sweetness. It was still pretty sweet so I wish you cold customize it even more between 0 and 30%. The boba pearls were good and really soft.

The best bubble tea in PGH just opened a new location in one of my favorite areas. It's the same quality as in Squirrel Hill but with smaller lines :). I hope they keep the awning.

This place is always wayyy less busy than the one in Squirrel hill! Parking is more of an issue than the one in squirrel hill though - however I usually just order online and pop out of the car for pick up. The menu and tastes are the same in both locations. Tsaocaa is definitely my favorite place for bubble tea in pittsburgh! So glad they opened up another location!

Love that there's another location in town since the Squirrel Hill one is super crowded usually with college kids. The service here is pretty fast even though they do get pretty busy being right at Pitt. Staff is nice even though they're super busy. They have better self ordering kiosks here than the Sq. hill location and they don't freeze up like those do. The drinks are pretty good and consistent as well, same as their other location. We liked our boba a lot! You can't go wrong with Tsaôcaa since they're the best boba in town and they have these back in NY. They have a wide menu with tea, milk tea, fruit teas, and Cantonese snacks like egg waffles.

Menu offerings were so vast, it took me a while to read through everything because it all sounded so good! They have a couple of rotating specials and different grades of matcha depending on caffeine levels and a weekly rotation of their soft serve. In addition to matcha lattes, they have shaved ice, soft serve floats, espresso + matcha combos, refreshers, and combos I never thought of but wanted to try. I love a yuzu drink so I tried their yuzu cool, a yuzu blended ice drink topped with their grade 1 matcha. It was amazing. The matcha quality was fantastic and you could really taste the difference. My friend tried one of spring menu offerings, a peach based latte and loved it. There's very limited seating inside so be aware. Street parking outside. I can't wait to return!!

The black sesame flavor was strong and present, but I think the ube flavor was lacking. The earl gray ice cream has a very strong floral aftertaste. Earl gray has that tea taste usually, but it was very overpowering. The jade fog latte was good as a matcha with a lavender cold form but for $8 as a matcha with cold foam is steep. There's only about 5 tables in the store, but sometimes some ppl come here to study. Street parking is free nearby.
