Wow. Dr. Tsai!! And his great medical expertise. My dad has been a patient of his for quite some time now and I wanted to meet the man personally. We were greeted by a friendly staff and waited for only a brief moment before we got called in. Now, I just want to say, Dr Tsai is really amazing at what he does. Cant say anything about the doctors practice but i was aware from the yelp reviews that Angie the assistant was rude. I ignored the reviews and figured ill just call in and see if they take my insurance. I asked and she gave me a rude response and even started talking over me. It sucks because this doctor is losing out on patients because of his office assistant. Just a simple change and tone and wording would of helped the conversation. read more

This review is only based on the fact that this office only accepts cash and checks. Chose this doc as my new PCP after getting new insurance from work. Called to schedule my first appointment and found out they don't take debit or credit cards. Might seem petty, but in 2022 seems outdated for me so I can only imagine what else is outdated. Can't imagine stopping at an ATM or writing a check (people still do that?) to visit a doc. I'm sure he's awesome but this was a no-go for me. read more

Ive been his patient for about 5 years my initial appointment was from my shoulder coming out of the socket. He was forwarded my xrays from Lakewood Regional. About a week ago I was informed by Dr Combs that I have a cervical rib that's causing problems so Dr Combs scheduled an MRI. Dr Tsai can't even be bothered to listen. I have had to mention to him on a different occasion that speaking while his patients speak is very rude and he's not getting the information needed. I honestly believe he has a racial issue my wife black has her thyroid completely removed asked for an endocrinologist to no avail by Dr Tsai. It's been years worth of hurry up snd leave my office. As I told my wife he's not listening he doesn't care I need a new doctor we proceeded to leave for Dr Tsai to come yelling that i indeed need to find a new doctor he's done helping. Dr. Tsai is very patient, knowledgeable, friendly and caring. He is a wonderful primary doctor that you can rely on. He has been our family doctor for more than 2 years, I will recommend him to all my friend and family. The staff also very friendly and helpful. read more

This review is solely base on the experience we had with the person in charge of scheduling appointments and sit at the reception area. My husband has been a patient of this location for about 2 years and every time he has made an appointment comes back home frustrated. He has been give unclear and inaccurate doctor notes to be given to his employer. The lady has a bad attitude and is very rude when asked to redo the notes. My husband really lies this doctor so I thought I would give it a try but this lady was rude and did not want to be bother to do the leg work to verify coverage and get me in to see the doctor. She tried to give me an appointment 9 days later to be seen for a cold. Nonsense. I hope this review assists or helps in setting up new marks or goals to better the customer service as I hate that other patients are experiencing the same. read more

This review is based solely on the medical ASSISTANT who works at the clinic with Dr Tsai. I work with Dr Tsai and he's amazing. Not only do I work with him in an acute care setting but I'm also his patient. When I tell you this medical ASSISTANT "Angie" has the rudest demeanor EVER I'm not exaggerating. Ma'am I save lives as an RN and if I were to talk to the patients who I care for the way you talk to Dr Tsai's patients I would be reprimanded appropriately. Bring down the attitude and act like a medical professional. Not only are representing yourself, but also Dr Tsai since most of his patients are first greeted by you. I have yet to bring this up with Dr Tsai personally, but there needs to be a SERIOUS improvement with his staff at his clinic. Working bedside him taking care of patients is amazing because I know I can trust him with my own personal health. I can't seem to say the same about his staff. read more

Dr. Tsai gets 5 stars, but the clinic gets 2. This was my experience as a new patient coming in for a yearly check-up. When I called to make my appointment, they told me they didn't take debit or credit cards, which was weird, but I made my appointment anyway. Dr. Tsai was great and took the time to listen to my concerns (he assured me I'm healthy, I just need to be a bit more active, which is true). Unfortunately, once it was time to get my bloodwork done, neither of the 2 nurses there was able to draw my blood. It's true that I have very thin veins, but the nurse that drew blood at my old clinic never had that much trouble. They said they didn't have butterfly needles and needed me to go to a separate lab to get my bloodwork done. They told me that my copay should cover it, but after getting to that lab and having my blood drawn, I was told I needed to pay $60! That led to a whole other ordeal, but it's all because those nurses couldn't draw my blood. I'll give the clinic another chance but I'm really hoping this gets them to stock up on butterfly needles! read more

Dr. Tsai is a phenomenal doctor. My first time seeing him, I felt he was very attentive and caring to my needs. However, this review is for the hispanic receptionist/assistant at the front office with the stuck-up and rude attitude. You really need to check that and stop conducting yourself in that manner. You're in the medical business where treating patients with respect is MANDATORY, NOT OPTIONAL. If you can't do that on a daily basis then find another career! read more

The reason why I visit Dr. Tsai is that he came recommended by my family, and he was convenient when I was living in Bellflower, CA. If I didn't move to Orange County, I would still have him. However, Dr. Tsai doesn't cover outside his network. He is one of the few good physicians I ever had in my life. Hence, the ratings. His staff, on the other hand, leaves much to be desired. read more

I've been a patient of Dr. Mark Tsai's for 5 years. His staff are a bit brisk and reticent but always professional and efficient. Dr. Tsai has always worked with me as a team to improve my health. I came to him with a rapidly deteriorating health with no clear cause. It was a long slow tedious process of tests, therapies, exams, treatments & referrals to specialists which had us both frustrated and confused. Each Specialist would find a part of the puzzle, but still no real answer. With confusing symptoms which came and went & mercurially changed he never said I was lying or it was all in my head. He kept working with me, patiently for years. Until the Rheumatology Specialist Doctor referral sent us a diagnosis of Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (Lupus), Fibromyalgia, Psoriatic Arthritis and a litany of other Lupus related diseases. All the confusing symptoms, it all finally started to make sense us. My point is I had 5 other Physicians who gave up on me. They dismissed me as a hypochondriac simply because they were too lazy to do the diagnostic work and sending me out for tests, diagnostics & Specialist consultations cuts into the Doctor's overhead costs. Dr. Tsai is not the most charasmatic, charming nor "hunky". However he and his staff are good, caring professionals who will work with you to improve your health. I saw only two Yelp ratings and one was terrible, so I needed to add my own review. I hope this helps someone. read more

I am going on 3 years with Dr Tsai as my doctor. If I change insurance, I always make sure he's on my plan , because he's just that good. I wish they had same day walk-in appointments, but I usually can get in the next day. He actually listens to you, and doesn't try to tell you it's all in your head. I knew that the podiatrist he sent me to misdiagnosed me, and he didn't question it, he just sent me to another podiatrist who fixed the problem. He actually asks questions and waits for a response. Mark Tsai is a wonderful primary care doctor. He is friendly, experienced, logical, and very effective. I've seen him a few times for general check-ups and acute complaints. His staff is also wonderful, best phlebotomist experience I've ever had to be honest. It's very convenient to be able to have blood drawn at the office visit. In addition his cash prices are very, very reasonable in case if you don't have medical insurance. I highly recommend him. read more
