We came for lunch on a lazy Monday. It was slow in Mizner. We sat at the bar. We had very good personable service from Brendan (Brandon?). There was only one other person dining while we were there. They said they'd been very busy here over the weekend. We started by sharing their little gem wedge salad with blue cheese. This was very good. He had raw oysters on the half shell ($1 each). They were tiny, but he said they were good. He liked them. I had their "chargrilled" oysters. These were the same tiny oysters with a piece of cheese on top. I did not taste any garlic or the lemon. I did not care for them. They nicely took mine off the invoice. Based on service alone (and the salad), they deserve 4 stars. It's a cute gastropub with potential.... Plus if you like raw oysters, those $1 ones are a bargain.
Another occupant of this popular spot in Mizner. We sat at the bar and Brandon gave excellent service. We shared the Baby Gem Salad with the blue cheese dressing. I ordered a dozen Mid-Atlantic oysters which were good. I also had a $5 Stella beer.
This is going to be my new favorite spot ! the staff was incredibly nice . they have $1-2 oysters all day long. They were fresh shucked, not dried and sitting out. They had two different kinds of oysters, both were delicious. The happy hour food was actually extremely good. We had calamari and fish tacos. We are going to try the muscles too, but we're just too full. After we ate, we decided to walk around Mizner to see if there is anything else we wanted to do and after looking around we came back to tryst for another happy hour drink before we left.
Very quick unplanned spot we came across. We decided to stop for a cocktail since it was Happy Hour. The bartender was very nice, friendly with a smile. Whatever was being cooked smelled delicious. Definitely would like to go back & try a meal.
In 2013 the first Tryst was closed in Delray Beach and recently reopened in Mizner Park. The owner was hands on in this eatery and took our drink and food order. The best deal on oysters are here at only $1.00 each 'Everyday All Day' and went well with a cold Funky Buddha craft beer. The fish dip was good but the sliced jalapeno peppers were excellent. The bar had a nice patio area where we sat on this cool day. Love the old photos hanging on the walls with an open view kitchen concept permitting transparency. Sunday brunch offers $6 mimosas and Tuesday $10 martinis. The gender assigned bathroom had a unique 1920's theme with a gold toilet and a gold urinal with a tower of ice (first time ever seeing this and realize its a way to reduce odors). The mirrored walls and mosaic flooring continued that retro ambiance.
Walking around after the movies with friends and decided to stop in around 2:30 for a cocktail. It Is not very big but the decor, food and service were amazing. It has an amazing set up. Large bar inside and facing outside and another bar outside facing into the restaurant. The decor is beautiful like sitting in someone's living room. Everyone enjoyed their cocktails. Our friends also ordered fish dip which was very tasty. Everyone ordered the fresh oysters for $1.00 each. The owner took our order and made sure everything was just right. We will be back for sure.

So perhaps that is not a good time to judge as they had just opened. One waiter -built guy - was at a table closest to open kitchen - shoving food into his mouth while standing up at the table. For real. It was comical. Server seemed unaware of how many items were prepared. Didn't know the beers in bottles vs cans. She was sweet and can learn fast. Would I return? Yes for takeout. Not a sit down.
I've known the management staff and bartenders for years, so I was beyond excited to see them bring back the iconic Tryst. It truly feels like a homecoming! Johnny is always so welcoming, and Bobby makes some of the best drinks around. We stopped in on Friday of Valentine's Day weekend, and the atmosphere was perfect. It has that elevated gastropub vibe, but the food absolutely exceeds expectations. My favorite is the steak frites -- cooked perfectly, and the topping takes it to a solid 10/10. My friend ordered the tacos and loved them as well. They also had a DJ spinning great music, which brought all the good vibes and made the night even more fun. This is such a fantastic addition to Mizner Park, and I can't wait until their sister restaurant opens in the courtyard. Highly recommend!
Ummmm listen, the vibes of this restaurant were good. The bartenders were doing their thing and the drinks were great! Recommend their lychee martini. HOWEVER! I wasn't a big fan of the food. I ordered the lobster ravioli as it was one of their specials of the day. The pasta was very undercook and raw. I'm sure it would've been delicious if I could've tasted anything else but the raw flour. Maybe this was an off night?

She ended up spitting out her food Everything was just simply not good We were looking forward to the apple cider donut sliders and when we asked why they were different than last time (bc she tried & loved on her first visit) and why they came out so... bad... our server said she noticed they didn't look right but "it's the same pillsbury dough as normal it was just fried longer than usual which was why it was hard"...PILLSBURY???? Our server was great, it was just the food that just wasn't it *smash burger not pictured, which was okay but if I was craving a burger this certainly wouldn't be my first choice
Hung out here with a group of friends and none of us have visited here before. Most of the inside was a bar but you were able to see through to the other side of the bar that was on the patio. Had a couple Tito's and soda water with my $1 oysters and fish dip. It was a very home style inviting feel to the decor. Will return for the fish dip and eat more $1 oysters next month.
This was my first visit to Tryst, and overall I'd say the experience was good, with a lot of promise. The biggest letdown was the menu situation. The smaller menu already felt limited, and on top of that, several items weren't available. That part was disappointing, not because things were missing, but because no one mentioned it upfront. If we had known right away, it honestly wouldn't have bothered me. Food-wise, it was a mixed bag. I ordered the shaved ribeye focaccia, but it came out on French bread instead. Not the end of the world, but it wasn't what was described, and that matters when you're ordering. That said, the vibe absolutely works. The decor is beautiful and gives off strong 1920s Art Deco energy. It feels stylish, intimate, and well thought out. You can tell they're aiming for something special here. And the drinks? Easily the highlight. 10/10. The bartender Maria seriously throws down. Cocktails were balanced, creative, and clearly made by someone who knows what they're doing. Bottom line: Tryst is a promising spot. With a little more transparency from staff and better menu consistency, this could be a standout. I'd definitely come back, especially for the drinks and atmosphere.
THE BEST PLACE AT MIZNER! Such a great vibe from the moment you enter, nicely decorated, indoor and outdoor seating and bar! The kitchen definitely takes pride in everything they make! Delicious food at the most reasonable prices in the area! This place is Owned and Operated by Johnny and Brendan longtime managers in the area one or both is always present to ensure you have a great experience and they truly care about each and every customer! Veteran owned and operated as well! The French Onion soup is the best around, excellent Beats salad, phenomenal $1 $2 oysters, Ny Strip cooked to perfection, flavorful burger with fresh cut potatoe fries! They have a great happy hour everyday from 4pm to 7 pm, nice selection of food! Our favorite place in the area! Great food, atmosphere, service from people that truly appreciate your patronage!

I came for dinner to try their Flavor of Palm Beach menu which was a great deal, $35 for app, entree and dessert. However, I regret to admit I was underwhelmed by the food. I ordered a watermelon arugula salad, pork chop, and tiramisu. The good news is, portions are quite large so I was very full and had leftovers. On the downside, my salad was completely drenched in balsamic vinaigrette that was too sweet - I wish they had let me decide and just put the dressing on the side. The pork chop was a bit dry for my taste but the apple chutney that was served with it helped to give it flavor. Even though I was full, I always make room for dessert and the tiramisu was the only thing I finished. It was ok, but nothing spectacular. I would give our server 5 stars, she was warm and funny and showed us how to get a discount on our bill using the Inkind app. The manager also comp'd an appetizer of our choice because they were no longer offering the drink special that we wanted to order that evening, so we appreciated that. I thought the decor was strange and our table settings had mismatching utensils (that were a little dirty) that I'm not sure were on purpose. Me, hubby and my daughter we're in the Boca area and decided to grab some lunch. We searched some spots and their menu and location caught our eye. They were not busy so we were seated right away. The ambiance of the restaurant was cute and kind of strange. The decor was an eclectic mix of things that was put together nicely, giving you a mysterious vibe about the place. We started off with a baked brie that came with a honey drizzle, a side of apples, some sort of fruit compote on top of the cheese and some toasted bread slices. Happy Hour is available all day on Mondays! The fish tacos were delicious, and I appreciated that they had a generous amount of fish--not like some places where you barely get any. The Pub Smash Burger was also very good and flavorful. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating, making it a great spot regardless of the weather. Fun late night spot in Mizner Park. Enjoyed a prickly pear mojito which wasn't sweet which I appreciate. Vibrant scene, loud live band playing in the breezeway. Tried the donut cheeseburger sliders which was a hybrid dessert burger- quite unique! Happy hour selections seem good - will have to try it out. read more

Tryst in Boca Raton's Mizner Park has quickly become my new favorite spot, and not just because my friend opened it. The food is amazing. I had a sandwich that honestly changed my life, and I even ordered a second one. Our server Elizabeth was fantastic, friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. The outdoor seating is perfect for having a cocktail, catching up with friends, and enjoying the atmosphere at Mizner Park. The happy hour is another big plus, super affordable with lots of great options for everyone, even if you have dietary restrictions. You have to check it out. You can thank me later! read more

Tryst is a great place to grab drinks....my experience with the food though could have been a lot better. Both myself and my husband ordered their NY steak special (medium) with scallop potato and asparagus. The steak arrived extremely undercooked it looked more like a rare and the thing is they pre cut the steak for you, so you as the chef see this and still send it out tsk tsk. And honestly the plating looked like they didn't care almost like it was rushed. As you can see with the photo the asparagus more impaticular looks thrown on there no seasoning or anything. The steak lacked seasoning as well. I ended up taking out leftovers home to cook and salt them properly. The scallop potato was cooked good again could use some more salt but good and my husband got the "beef tallow" fries which were also under cooked and to me personally had zero beef tallow taste. Won't be going back for food but for the vibes and drinks. read more

Tryst is easily one of the best bars I've been to. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between lively and intimate, making it a great spot whether you're out with friends or on a date. Happened to walk past this place and decided to check it out and man was I surprised the food was amazing these donut sliders are my favorite. This happy hour can't be beat I got an espresso martini for 7$ where else can you get that. My wife got the spicy water melon marg now she can't stop talking about it.
