This of course consumes quite a bit of propane, and we began to get into the danger zone. Our normal fill company was eight days out, so I began calling every place around Pinellas county, and south to Sarasota. Sunrise not only said they'd fit me in, but for a trivial $75 off-route fee, they could come the next morning instead of waiting a couple days for their normal weekly visit to my area. They showed up right on time and took care of everything; even swapped out my foggy tank gauge so I could see what percentage I was at, which I'd been unable to do for a few years. Five more days on generator and I was ready for a top off the following week, they were back out again on the normal day while everyone else was still a week or more out from being able to get me. The rate per gallon was a bit higher than market, but hard to complain about that when everyone was a week or more out from even being able to service my house.

Then I called T&D Propane and spoke with Camy. She went out of her way to help. After I sent photos, she personally worked on a solution for me. This morning, two of their men came to my home, thoroughly tested everything, fixed leaks in both the tank and stove, replaced the line, and even dug a hole and set a concrete block so the tank won't rust. They also put a few gallons in the tank so I could cook right away, and they'll return this week to fill it properly - they simply cared and went far above and beyond. Thank you, Camy, and the wonderful team at T&D Propane. You truly made a big difference for this grateful senior. I will recommend you to everyone!

I knew my 20lb tank wasn't totally emptied. in that case they would only charge what was put into the tank. He put 2lbs in my tank and charged me 19$, the price for filling a completely emptied tank. bottom line, I paid $19 for 1 lb of propane, which is ridiculous. Even though the employee that answered the phone sounded extremely overwhelmed with many phone calls, I felt like I was the only customer she had all day. She was sweet as pie and very reassuring. She told me that due to approaching storm that numerous other clients had ordered propane replenishment before me but that they would deliver after the hurricane passed. I said ok and booked my refueling. I should not have let my tank run to 30%. Lesson learned. My new goal is to keep it always at 80%. Yesterday morning, on Saturday, my dogs' incessant barking woke me up early. It was a Ridge Propane delivery driver to refill my underground propane tank. I was surprised since I was informed about my delivery after the hurricane passed & when things got back to normal. I greeted the gentleman with a wide smile & some bewilderment. He was super friendly. He mentioned that the company brought in out of state personnel, like him, to help aide in fulfilling all their fuel deliveries. Now that is customer service. Other propane outfits I had reached out to also promised delivery after the storm some 7 days out from my initial call. Ridge Propane really cares about the community they serve.
