Specifically, that includes Xavier in sales, Ben the controller, Nicole in permitting and Haley in accounting. In the end, they didn't actually install propane tanks for me due to unexpected circumstances, but they persevered with me through several months of challenges (on my end, not theirs) and took care of me well. As soon as Xavier came to the house, I was impressed with him and with Propane Ninja. He was totally honest, provided expert guidance and did not try to talk me into anything. I paid an initial deposit of 50% of the contract price (standard practice), and then they pursued getting the permit from the City of Tampa. That turned out to be quite a challenge, due to the unique situation with my lot and the desired location of the tanks and generator (another company was handling the generator installation). The reason I needed a backup generator was due to my wife's serious health issues. In the process of me pursuing a "design exception" with the City of Tampa in order to try to get the permits approved, my wife unexpectedly passed away. And then I really didn't have a pressing need for a backup generator. Propane Ninja was gracious enough to agree to refund the full deposit I had paid them. Well, it turned out to be quite a challenge in order to actually make that happen, not because of any problem on their end, but again, on mine. Basically, it had to do with the bank I had used to make the initial deposit and the bank's system not allowing a refund to come back into the account. But then "superhero" (as far as I'm concerned) Ben, the controller at Propane Ninja, jumped into the ring, and after trying multiple ways to get the refund processed, was ultimately able to make it happen! I can't say enough positive about the folks at Propane Ninja. There just aren't very many companies like this anymore, sadly, that take the kind of personal interest they do and have the willingness to persevere through every challenge in order to make sure the customer is taken care of.

The reason I choice Propane Ninja was because they have their own meter monitor the propane gas tank. They have better rating then their competition and I don't need to worry about looking at the meter each week. Scheduling a delivery is automated. In addition, using their app I can see the % of gas remaining in the tank and because I know the gas level, I can be assured there are no leaks and if there are they will fix it as part of their small monthly fee.

Our normal fill company was eight days out, so I began calling every place around Pinellas county, and south to Sarasota. Sunrise not only said they'd fit me in, but for a trivial $75 off-route fee, they could come the next morning instead of waiting a couple days for their normal weekly visit to my area. They showed up right on time and took care of everything; even swapped out my foggy tank gauge so I could see what percentage I was at, which I'd been unable to do for a few years. Five more days on generator and I was ready for a top off the following week, they were back out again on the normal day while everyone else was still a week or more out from being able to get me. The rate per gallon was a bit higher than market, but hard to complain about that when everyone was a week or more out from even being able to service my house.

Even though the employee that answered the phone sounded extremely overwhelmed with many phone calls, I felt like I was the only customer she had all day. She was sweet as pie and very reassuring. She told me that due to approaching storm that numerous other clients had ordered propane replenishment before me but that they would deliver after the hurricane passed. I said ok and booked my refueling. I should not have let my tank run to 30%. Lesson learned. My new goal is to keep it always at 80%. Yesterday morning, on Saturday, my dogs' incessant barking woke me up early. It was a Ridge Propane delivery driver to refill my underground propane tank. I was surprised since I was informed about my delivery after the hurricane passed & when things got back to normal. I greeted the gentleman with a wide smile & some bewilderment. He was super friendly. He mentioned that the company brought in out of state personnel, like him, to help aide in fulfilling all their fuel deliveries. Now that is customer service. Other propane outfits I had reached out to also promised delivery after the storm some 7 days out from my initial call. Ridge Propane really cares about the community they serve.
