We couldn't be more pleased. They replaced our well pump but in getting on to the property tore up a section of our neighbor's yard. When I called, Todd and a team came out the next day and without question repaired the yard with new sod. Love our new pump - now have so much pressure we need to have our sprinklers adjusted :) read more

I called this company to have someone come out and look at our irrigation system. We weren't sure how to use it, since we had moved into the house about a year ago. The receptionist said they were really backed up and it would be about 2 weeks before someone could come out. Even then, I was not able to set up an appointment for the technician to come out at a specific time (after the two weeks). After a month and a half, the receptionist at the office called (randomly) and said someone could come out and look at it in 15-20 minutes. I feel that a little more notice would have been appreciated. The technician came as expected and offered to show me how to use the system. Some of the sprinkler heads were broken and he offered to repair them, but could not give me an estimate of the cost. He told me the heads were $10 and the rotors were $15. However, he did NOT tell me about the labor charge of $95/hr. We were expecting a charge, but did not realize it would be this hefty. As first time homeowners, all of this is brand new to us. After receiving the bill, we called and spoke with an older gentleman about this labor charge. He pretty much told me, don't ask don't tell. He said "we don't try to hide our costs." At the same time, no one mentioned anything about the cost either. I only gave 2 stars for the technician who repaired the system. He fixed all the problems and the system is running as it should. read more

We had a shallow well irrigation system installation done by a contractor and had countless issues with the pump system. Thanks to Todd and his team, they were able to fit us in their busy schedule and correct the problem. Our well pump seemed to be running non-stop and making a loud unpleasant noise. When I called Dunham Well Drilling to schedule an appointment the young lady on the phone told me that we shouldn't wait to prevent pump burn out. They responded quickly to our service request and had someone out to check on it within the day. It was determined that we needed to replace the pump and they said it would be 2 days until the part was in and they could return. On leaving our driveway, the service technician's truck tires spun down into our gravel driveway, dug up the wire of our invisible fence (buried 3 inches below the surface for containment of our dogs) and cut the wire. Without a continuous circuit the system is in-operational. It was an accident and unintentional but still damage was done. The Dunham technicians tried to reconnect the wire with no success and we had to call out the invisible fence company who had to repair the system at a cost of $125 dollars. 2 Days later, the Dunham Well techs returned and fixed our well. The cost on that was $1330 for parts and labor. ($995 for parts and the remainder in labor costs) When I was called by the company to settle the balance, I told them of the damage done and asked for a discount on the service to offset the cost of the damage done by the technicians. I was connected to Todd Dunham, the owner, who felt there was a miscommunication on the damage done to our property. I paid the full amount that day, but a few days later, Mr. Dunham reached back out after having time to think about what had happened and offered to cover the cost of the repairs on our fence line. This type of customer service shows integrity I believe. Even without a solution to our challenge immediately, Mr Dunham didn't let the issue go unresolved and reached out to make it right. The integrity of a company is measured not in when things go right, but when things don't go according to plan. In this case I feel that there is a commitment to the customer and to the quality of the work that is being performed. It must be why Dunham Well Drilling has been able to serve Polk County for over 50 years. So, if you are looking for a well company who will take care of you as a customer AND your well, then call Dunham Well Drilling. They responded quickly to our concerns and used their experience in the industry to give us a great resolution to all our problems. read more
