Incredible Transformation & Service! We had a rough situation in our yard thanks to a previous contractor who left things in really bad shape--poor drainage, damaged irrigation systems, and a mess of a lawn. Thankfully, Chris came in and absolutely turned things around. From the start, Chris was communicative, professional, and genuinely reassuring. He really took the time to understand the issues we were facing and laid out a solid plan to not only make our yard beautiful again but to solve the underlying problems for good. He graded the yard, installed extra drains, added a sump pump, and replaced most of the sod. He even removed old stumps and uncovered a completely wrecked irrigation system we hadn't even realized was damaged. Throughout the entire process, he kept us in the loop and made sure we felt confident every step of the way. The final result is stunning. The yard looks amazing and, more importantly, it's now functional--we no longer have water buildup issues, and the whole space feels like it's finally under control again. We felt his price was fair and we felt the value for the money was outstanding. He won't let you down. Chris is a rockstar. Not only is he skilled, but he's also just a genuinely great guy to work with. We'll definitely be calling him again for any future yard projects. UPDATE 9/12/26 - Chris somehow removed my review and all of his other 1 star reviews. He continues to not respond to us. We are out over $6000 with an incomplete job. This guy is a con artist. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. UPDATE 9/9/26 - here we are with our project still not complete and Chris not responding to our calls/messages. This has been a major headache. AVOID this company. ORIGINAL REVIEW 7/2026 - Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this company. However, I hope this review motivates Chris to do the right thing and complete the work we hired him to do. We hired him for irrigation repair, sod installation, drain installation, and landscaping around our pool just before Father's Day, over five weeks ago. We paid a deposit immediately after being told the job would be completed by the end of that week. Over the past several weeks, he has only shown up a handful of times, with very little work actually completed. We have been given excuse after excuse for the delays, including weather, equipment problems, personal issues, problems with the sod farm, issues with our irrigation system, and even the distance to our home in Wesley Chapel. (If the drive was going to be an issue, it should have been considered before taking the job.) To make matters more frustrating, our neighbor hired Chris for essentially the same work at the same time, and their project has already been completed. Meanwhile, our project remains unfinished, and communication has become increasingly difficult. Throughout the process, Chris has requested additional payments multiple times, each time promising the job would be completed. On Sunday, July 19, he called my husband requesting another $1,500 for sod. He explained that the original sod farm was unable to cut the sod because of the rain but said he had found another supplier that could. We paid based on his promise that the sod would be delivered the following day and that the entire job would be completed by the end of the week since he had finally resolved the irrigation issue. Here we are more than a week later with no sod, no repaired irrigation system, and none of the materials that our multiple deposits were supposed to cover on our property. We are out more than $6,000, and Chris has stopped responding to my husband's calls and text messages. We are beyond frustrated and disappointed by the lack of communication, repeated broken promises, and constant excuses. This experience has been incredibly stressful, and at this point, we simply want Chris to honor his commitments and complete the work we have already paid for. read more

Update as of 9/26/2026: Do NOT do business with Tampa Landscape Solutions or Chris Staggs. More than three months have passed since I paid Tampa Landscape Solutions, and this matter remains unresolved. Despite multiple opportunities to resolve the situation, no sod was ever delivered, no work was ever performed at my property, and my deposit has still not been returned. Chris returned to my property on July 28 and told me he intended to move forward with the project, and on July 31 he even asked what type of "repayment plan" I would consider, but nothing was ultimately resolved. I have made repeated attempts to resolve this directly, but as of today, I still have no completed work and no refund. And good luck trying to send a formal demand letter to the business address listed on their documents--the house is vacant, and despite my requests, Chris has not provided me with a current address where correspondence can reliably be delivered. read more

Geez we should have read more reviews, guy is a thief. Blames other for trusting him with their money and steals it. Talks about respect and professionalism, yet lies and steals! we are having to file on this guy over materials, while he is apparently using our money for materials on other jobs to somehow "one day pay us back." read more

Chris and his team did a great job for us. He spent a lot of time planning and discussion solutions that would meet our needs. He always followed through making sure we were happy every step of the way. He is extremely honest and upfront sometimes to a fault, but I would he be like that than hiding things...if he found that the job required something additional like changes to the irrigation system, he would explain it and always ask if we would like to proceed. I hired Chris Feb 2 2025 to regrade my front yard and driveway. He came out took measurements and gave me a quote of 16k. He requested a $6000 dollar deposit. I paid. He said the job would start in approximately 6 weeks. I got the run around from him for months then he said he needed to charge 19k and he needed another 5 k down. Like an idiot I paid. He promised to start the following Monday. He no showed and would not answer my calls for days. Then he finally surfaced and agreed to start the following Monday. Again no showed. We are in week four now of Zero work done . I have had to involved an attorney now to draw up a repayment document. 3 k down and two payments for remaining balance. He has yet to sign. This has been an absolute nightmare. I never dealt with such unprofessionalism . I chose this company because of the high rating. I should have read all the reviews because the other one star reviews are similar as far as a bunch of talk and no action. Attached are two invoices showing 11k paid for deposits and my house with zero work done. UPDATE he responded to my lawyer saying deposits are non refundable. I he did not tell me this or I wouldn't have given him eleven thousand dollars. Off to court we go. read more
